NaVi CEO Talks About CSGO Roster’s Russian Players and Their Future

Ukrainian esports organisation, Natus Vincere’s CEO Yevhen Zolotarov spoke to the Washington Post in an interview to give an insight into the Current state of the country, during war, how the org is dealing with it and competing despite the invasion and also about the future plans of the rosters that they currently have.

Zolotarov didn’t shy away from saying that there may arise a situation wherein they will have to part with members of their roster that live in Russia.

According to him, anyone who lives in Russia and pays taxes to the Russian federation will be cut from the roster and they won’t be working with them. “We are not going to work with people who live in Russia and who pay taxes to the Russian Federation,” he said.

The brunt of this could be faced by NaVi’s CSGO roster which has 3 members that are Russian. Denis “⁠electroNic⁠” Sharipov, Kirill “⁠Boombl4⁠” Mikhailov, and Ilya “⁠Perfecto⁠” Zalutskiy, are all Russian and were part of the roster that brought NaVi their most successful year in CSGO.

In 2021, NaVi won the first CSGO Major in 2 years, alongside a plethora of other trophies such as IEM Cologne 2021, BLAST World Finals, ESL Pro League S14 among others.

But as things stand, they will be given the option to relocate and acquire passports from other countries. The org doesn’t want anyone associated with the Russian federation working with them but if the players don’t share their countries politics, they will remain a part of NaVi. 

“We hope that we are going to keep this roster and that the Russia-based players are going to relocate.” said Zolotarov when asked about the state of the CSGO roster, having more Russian players than Ukrainians.

NaVi took part in IEM Katowice, just days after Ukraine was invaded and it was obvious that it affected the players. They lost to G2 in the semis and went home in 3-4th place. They are the current champions of ESL Pro League, as they won the 14th season to secure the Intel Grand Slam. They will start their EPL S15 Campaign vs AGO tomorrow.

Epic Games has introduced a new mode named Zero Build in the ongoing season that removes the most conventional feature and it is the building in Fortnite.

On March 30th, CSGO players across the Globe reported outages of the game servers.

The first and common cause of server outages is a new update. When a new update is shipped to the game, the servers can go down for a short while. However, in case of an update, the servers can be up quite quickly.

Another reason behind server outages may be a technical fault in Valve’s servers. This is very unlikely to happen but has happened on more than one occasion in the past.

Ceb reveals best carry players and Mid Dota 2 Players in Regions

In a recent Twitch live stream, Sebastien “Ceb” Debs, a previous two-time winner of The International (TI) with OG, highlighted some of the top players in the mid and carry roles.

Ceb chose his favorite carry player(s) from each of the six areas in answer to a question from the Twitch chat: North America (NA), South America (SA), Western Europe (WEU), Eastern Europe (EEU), Southeast Asia (SEA), and China.

He then proceeded to name his favorite Midlanders in the same way. Ceb stated that while he chose some of the world’s best players, his decision was influenced by their playstyle.

Ceb reveals his top Dota 2 mid and carry players from around the world. 

Ceb stated that it would be very difficult to choose the top carry players from all current and retired players in the Twitch conversation, and instead gave his preferred names from the list of current players by area. He also stated that he would not evaluate OG players to avoid any potential bias. 

Carry players

Ceb was certain about his choice of Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen, Team Liquid’s carry, for WEU. The same thing happened in China, where he chose PSG. Wang “Ame” Chunyu of LGD. 

Ceb couldn’t name a single EEU carry player, despite the fact that EEU carry players are now far more powerful than their counterparts in other regions.

Mid players

Ceb didn’t take any OG players into account in the midlaners category. He chose Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi and Leon “Nine” Kirilin in Europe, as well as Michael “miCKe” Vu.

NAVI Wild Rift team has been banned from the WREC 2022 for account sharing

NAVI has been fined for breaking one of Wild Rift Esports EMEA’s Global Competition Policies, according to an official Wild Rift Esports EMEA Twitter tweet. NAVI’s coach and substitute player Vladimir “NAVI OSPREAY”Natus Vincere (NAVI) has been disqualified from the League of Legends: Wild Rift Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Championship (WREC) 2022 after breaking the account sharing rule, colloquially known as “Ringing.”

The team’s head coach was allegedly caught sharing his account with a third party to compete in the event, according to an official statement from the tournament organizer.

As a result, NAVI is no longer permitted to compete in the WREC Last Chance Qualifier. Its professional players will be barred from all official Wild Rift esports tournaments for three months, while its coach will be barred for six months.

In the midst of WREC 2022, NAVI’s Wild Rift coach is guilty of ringing. 

Gonchar was discovered sharing his account during the team’s WREC 2022 match against VIV Esports on March 13th, according to the report.

NAVI’s Wild Rift Pro Players – Hoang “Phi” Thi, Cezar “Vex” Nedelcu, Wahil “YeQiu” Hassani, Kirill “Hydro” Sitnikov, and Frederik “Schow” Morthorst – will be banned from all official Wild Rift esports events for three months, while their coach OSPREAY will be banned for six months.

BMOC 2022: The Grind Format and Schedule Explained

Krafton is kickstarting its new season of BGMI esports with Battlegrounds Mobile India Open Challenge 2022. This tournament will be the first event of 2022 with high stakes and a grassroot level competition. Before the main event reaches its final stage, the officials are conducting a separate invitational tournament called BMOC 2022: The Grind and here is everything you need to know.

BMOC 2022: The Grind will be very similar to the older version of The Grind that was hosted before the start of BGIS 2021. This event is essentially like practice event for the invited rosters but stakes are higher this time. The Grind itself will be panning out in three different stages and hence, teams will need to perform more consistently to win the entire event.

The Grind starts from 31st March 2022 and will run side-by-side to the BMOC 2022 online qualifiers. Invited teams will be practicing while teams that have registered for this event will be playing in a total of three rounds before meeting the invited rosters.

The Grind is split into qualifiers, league and finals stage and here is the correct date distribution:

Qualifiers – 31st March to 3rd April
League Stage – 7th to 10th April
Finals – 14th to 17th April.

In the first qualifier stage, a total of 32 teams will be divided into four groups and will play in a round-robin format for four days straight. The top 24 from this stage will move to the League stage.

League Stage is shortened for The Grind but it essentially tests the consistency of playing rosters. The format for this stage will be very similar to qualifiers stage but at the end, top 16 will go to the finals.

The top 16 teams will be playing a total of 24 matches in the grand finale and at the end, the winner will be crowned as ‘The Champion’ of BMOC 2022: The Grind.

This tournament is like a preparatory stage for the teams qualifying from open qualifiers as they can learn about different strategies used by the official teams before the event. Make sure to watch The Grind on BGMI Esports official YouTube channel.

BGMI Esports has allocated a massive prize pool to its tournaments in India and the first event called BMOC 2022 is right around the corner. The officials are organizing an invitational tournament called BMOC 2022: The Grind to kickstart this event. Here are its details and the start date that is mentioned by the officials.

BGMI esports is on the peak in India as several tournaments are lined up for the 2022 season. Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge 2022 is a highly anticipated event in India as fans will once again see their favourite teams in action. This tournament is open-for-all and will start from 4th April.

According to the format of this tournament, a total of 32 teams will be invited at the final round of this tournament. These teams will compete with the top 32 teams that have fought a hard battle in four online rounds and together, only top 24 teams will move ahead to the semi-pro league event.

Similar to BGIS 2021, BGMI officials have invited the top 32 teams in an invitational event called BMOC 2022: The Grind. This will be like a warmup event before the original showdown and players can watch their favourite teams in action.

What is the BMOC 2022: The Grind Start Date?
