How to Turn On Streamer Mode in Valorant

0

Unknown to many avid Valorant players out there, the competitive shooter by Riot allows players to enable streamer mode to protect their privacy in-game. While it’s especially useful for bigger streamers and content creators out there to prevent stream sniping and targeted queuing, anyone can choose to do it in order to maintain anonymity while playing Valorant.

While there isn’t a specific ‘Streamer Mode’ present in Valorant per se, players can enable a number of in-game features to help them remain anonymous in their games.

For instance, players can hide their name from others and enable generic names for players outside of their party. These options can be enabled from the general tab in the settings menu.

Once these settings have been enabled, players outside of your party will see your name as the Agent that you use in that game.

For instance, if you pick Sage in a particular game, players outside of your party will see your name as ‘Sage’ instead of your Riot nickname. Similarly, for the second setting, you’ll see Agent names for other players.

Do keep in mind that these settings don’t take effect if enabled in the middle of a game. Make sure to enable these options before you queue for a game for them to work properly.

Fnatic Suspend Valorant Pro BraveAF After Player Allegedly Supports Russia-Ukraine War

0

Professional Valorant Player BraveAF, who currently plays for Swedish org Fnatic has been suspended from the active roster after screenshots revealed that he was in support of the Russia-Ukraine war. As per the chat log, BraveAF did not categorize the invasion as ‘all out war’.

The screenshots were first posted by WePlay Media Talent and Ukrainian national Aleksei “yXo” Maletskyi. The chat logs were of a conversation between Andrey ‘BraveAF’ Gorchakov and a Ukrainian woman Nikole ‘T1gerToes’ Lee. In the instagram DM screenshot, BraveAF can be  seen saying

I really hope it’s going to end as soon as possible. And Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus will be united because no one from the West wants it. It’s needed. And I hope that yours [Ukrainian people] will understand it as fast as possible. They want to divide us, set us against each other.

People from the West achieved the collapse of the USSR and now they want to collapse the CIS. And Ukraine gives way. Putin is not going to let it happen. Okay, I’m not really competent in this type of thing. I will be honest, I’m judging through my lens. You should give up as fast as possible. there will be no casualties among civilians. Putin said. It’s not about civilians. It’s not all-out war.”

According to Nikole, the screenshots were from 24th february 2022, the day the invasion started. Later on the Valorant pro deleted the conversation, saying ‘you burned our correspondence’ and then proceeded to block her.

Once these screenshots were made public, the community was outraged and wanted an immediate response from fnatic. Other esports pros from Valorant and other games alike, shared their views on the situation.

CSGO legend s1mple said “you can immediately see the mentality of a professional – GIVE UP!”

FunPlus Phoenix IGL ‘ANGE1’ said “Some Russians think we should give up as fast as possible, right BraveAF? Well this is your and yours government biggest mistake, u don’t know sh**about Ukrainians”

A few hours later, fnatic released a statement saying they have launched an investigation into the matter. They also said that BraveAF is suspended from pro play until the investigation is finished, and there will be more updates in the coming days.

NaVi Beat AGO in One of The Longest, Recording-Breaking Maps

ESL Pro League Season 15’s 4th and final group, Group D kicked off with a marathon match between NaVi and AGO. NaVi were playing without IGL Boombl4 as he was out due to COVID-19, and NaVi Junior member headtr1ck took his place.

NaVi started the series with a stomp, winning AGO’s map pick with ease as they posted 14 CT rounds to AGO’s 1. The map ended 16-1 and we looked set for a washout come NaVi’s pick of Mirage.

The second map was anything but a continuation of the first map as both teams went absolutely toe to toe on Mirage. NaVi won 7 T rounds as AGO got 8 CT ones and after the switch it was more of the same as regulation ended with the score at 15-15.

AGO cashed in on the fact that NaVi were playing with a stand-in and went ham on the A site, where headtr1ck was often the sole defender.

They kept it close in Overtime, as the map went to a second, third and then a fourth overtime. It seemed the map would never end as fans took to twitter to get the memes going.

S1mple was by far the best player on the server as he racked up kill after kill and clutch after clutch to keep the marathon going for NaVi.

The map finally ended, after 7 overtimes as AGO ran out of steam and NaVi closed out the map 37-34 to win their first series of ESL Pro League S15 2-0. NaVi and AGO played more rounds in Overtime (41) than they did in regulation (30) which is absolutely bonkers.

S1mple ended Mirage with 65 kills to his name, followed by b1t who had 56 frags to push NaVi through to victory. s1mple had a total of 86 frags in the series, and was the highest rated player on the server with a 1.49 rating.

NAVI vs AGO ended up being the 4th longest map in CSGO history with 71 rounds. The longest matchup ever was a UK Nation Championship map which ended 46-42 between TeamXENEX and EXCEL.

When it comes to Big events, this was the longest map ever in history with 71 rounds beating the record of 66 rounds which was set by NaVi also, at ESL One COlogne 2017 vs Cloud9.

It took 5 years to overtake the previous record. The latest entry in the top 5 longest maps at big events was at DreamHack Malmo 2019 between FURIA and fnatic with 66 rounds as well.

With the win, NaVi are now 1-0 up in Group D. They will play Evil Geniuses tomorrow and look to continue their streak to qualify for playoffs as quickly as possible.

Natus Vincere will start off their EPL S15 campaign and Group D against their polish opponent AGO. So will Evil Geniuses against Astralis to wrap up Day 1 of Group D which follows the newly revamped Complexity side take on Heroic.

This group indeed is deemed as the perfect stack with heavyweights from across Europe and North America to have been drawn in together towards the final three spots at the playoffs.

Group D takeaways

Before Natus Vincere go head to head with AGO, a last-minute roster change was flagged by the Ukraine-based squad as Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov tested positive for COVID-19 and would be replaced by Na’Vi Junior member Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov who was earlier listed as a backup for the ongoing tournament.

It’s indeed a fresh start for Evil Geniuses who shuffled their entire roster post their elimination from the group stage of the PGL Stockholm Major 2021 which forced them back to the drawing board and sign William “RUSH” Wierzba, Timothy “autimatic” Ta, and Jacky “Stewie2k” Yip.

Their recent outings may not have been top-notch but we can expect a show around from the Seattle-based organization in Germany as they lock horns with Astralis in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Johnny “JT” Theodosiou led Complexity headline Group D as the top favorites from North America, having most recently topped the PGL Antwerp Major 2022 Closed Qualifier over Team Liquid.

Valorant agent 20 kit leaked: Is Bounty Hunter better than Sova?

0

Bounty Hunter is entering as Sova and Cypher’s direct competitor. Now that the leaks have revealed the Valorant agent 20 kit, players wonder if they’re actually the better intel-gatherer.

The upcoming Valorant agent enters the fray after strong-arming the entire protocol with vague dossiers. While this mysterious character ensured that everyone received their fair share of threats, their primary target was Sova and Cypher. The two information brokers were employed to track agent 20, which led to new bad blood.

Valorant agent 20 wasn’t expected to drop before April, but credible leaker ValorLeaks has already revealed their wheelhouse.

Upcoming Valorant agent 20 kit details

According to the leaks, these are the abilities of the upcoming Valorant agent 20.

Prowler (C): Send out a creature that can follow trails or be controlled by moving your mouse. Upon reaching an enemy, they will be Nearsighted for three seconds—only one Creature per Trail.

Cost: 300 credits

Seize (Q): Equip and Fire an Orb which will stay in the air for a max of 1.5 seconds and then slam to the ground. When the orb hits the ground, Enemies within the radius will be tethered and will take damage and be deafened.

Cost: 200 credits

Haunt (E): Equip and Fire an Orb which will stay in the air and then hit the ground. Then it will go back into the air and turn into an eye. If Enemies get seen by the eye, they will be revealed, and a trail debuff is applied.

Nightfall (Ultimate): Send out a wave of dark mist. If the mist hits an enemy, they will be Deafened, Trailed, and Decayed.

Is Bounty Hunter better than Sova?

Bounty Hunter may not be better than Sova, but it sure provides Initiator players with a brand new option to gather intel.

Viper’s voice note to Brimstone regarding the mysterious blackmailer carried a tone of doubts about Sova’s skillset. The controller agent and second in command seemed to doubt Sova’s ability to track down this agent. Even Cypher failed to garner much information except the location, which trailed them to Turkey. So, both the info-brokers struggled against Bounty Hunter, which implied that the upcoming agent might be better than the rest.

However, now that the kit is out in the open, players can analyze whether that’s actually the case. The Valorant agent 20 kit sure seems promising, but it doesn’t seem to outsmart Sova’s by any stretch. Their tools are actually pretty similar to Sova’s tagging dart, with the addition of near sighting equipment. Their Q and C abilities, however, seem deadly. These two powers mix Raze’s car and Skye’s dog, which makes this agent maybe a tad bit deadlier than Sova.

On paper, Bounty Hunter appears to be a balanced agent who may not shake up the meta like previous additions. However, it is yet to be seen how they plays out in practice. Players will have to wait till April 26 to take Bounty Hunter on a spin.

Pokemon Go Friend Codes April 2022: What are friend codes and how to share your friend code with others

0

Pokemon Go is one of the few games out there where playing solo or playing with friends feels equally rewarding and engaging. Some features of the game like raids or special events, require the formation of a big team of players.

Since raids are lucrative and not everyone can just get a group of friends to play the game, Niantic has added the “Friend Code” feature using which you can add others to your in-game friend list and form a team.

Now you might ask, How to find a new friend in Pokemon Go?

The Pokemon Go community has setup a dedicated subreddit called r/PokemonGoFriends, here you can find other trainers looking for friends or organizing open raids. With more than 400K members and more joining daily, the subreddit is a very good place to find friends that play at similar timing as you or are just out there helping out players.

The community has also created another dedicated subreddit called r/PokemonGoRaids, for those looking to complete raids in their area or participate in remote raids around the world. With more than 100K dedicated raiders, the subreddit is very good to find a raid party fast. Although to mind that most raiders on the subreddit are only looking to complete raids and might remove you after the Raid is over.

How to find your own Friend code?

You might be wondering where is your own friend code (or trainer code) that you can share with others. Just follow these steps to find your code:

  1. Open the Pokemon Go app.
  2. Open your trainer profile by pressing on your Trainer’s face in the bottom left-hand corner.
  3. Scroll to the ‘Friends‘ tab at the top of the screen.
  4. Now tap on the ‘Add Friend‘ button.
  5. Your Friend Code (or Trainer Code) should now be visible to you.
  6. Now tap on ‘copy my Trainer Code’ to paste it elsewhere or press ‘share my Trainer Code‘ to directly share it via a message through various apps displayed.

You can also locate your Trainer Code in a QR Code format in the same manner.

How to add friends via Friend Code?

Similar to the steps above, adding friends is equally effortless.

  1. Copy the Friend code (or Trainer code) of the trainer you want to add as a friend.
  2. Open the Pokemon Go app.
  3. Open your trainer profile by pressing on your Trainer’s face in the bottom left-hand corner.
  4. Scroll to the ‘Friends‘ tab at the top of the screen.
  5. Now tap on the ‘Add Friend‘ button.
  6. Now in the box beneath paste the Friend Code (or Trainer code).

The game will send a request to the person you just added. Once the other trainer accepts the request your new friend will be visible to you on the friend list.

Report: 52 More CSGO Coaches Could Get Banned Amid Coach Bug Row

A new report by veteran esports journalist, Richard Lewis, revealed that there is another investigation underway by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) regarding the abuse of the CSGO coach bug. Sources have told Dexerto that as many as 52 more coaches could be banned once the investigation is completed by the ESIC.

The CSGO Coach bug was first discovered in September 2020 and the investigation was started by the Esports Integrity Commission as well as renowned CSGO Referee Michal Slowinski. Upon completion of the investigation, 37 coaches were handed out bans by the ESIC, of varying lengths ranging from 4 months, to as long as 3 years.

Since then, two more investigations are currently underway as per the report. The reason the investigations are so delayed is because admins have to manually go through each demo to find the coach bug being abused. During the original investigation, the bug was found using an automated technique and it only focused on a single type of bug which allowed coaches to get stuck in a different position.

As revealed by CSGO Referee Michal Slowinski, there are a number of different bugs that have been in play in CSGO, apart from the original bug. The first one was a “free roam” coach bug, where you could literally fly around the map as coach and check what your enemies were doing.

Another one where,  you could watch your teammate from a 3rd person view and simply clear all the angles for him (if abused).

There was also another one where you would get stuck on the bomb and essentially you could tell if someone is defusing or just faking.

The automated method could not find these different types of bugs, but Michal went through all the demos on HLTV and sent his report to ESIC, as well as making Valve aware of all the bugs that were currently at play and how they were being abused.

The Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association (CSPPA) has taken an active role to protect the competitive integrity at the highest level of play in CSGO. Last week, in an interview with Richard Lewis, Apeks’ player and member of CSPPA, Martin ‘STYKO’ Styk spoke about how he has tried to contact the ESIC and find out more about the different kinds of bugs, it was theorised by fans that it was the interview that made ESIC speed up their work and finish the investigation so the competitive integrity could be protected.

What fuelled the fire even more was the fact that Major winning coach Soham ‘valens’ Chowdhury was found using the bug way back in 2017 and 2018 but wasn’t handed out a ban by the ESIC. It wasn’t until Luis Mira’s report was published that most of the CSGO Community found out about valens using the bug. That got the community in a frenzy, about how many more coaches may have used the bug and not got caught.

Once the investigation is completed by the ESIC, it is possible that 52 more coaches could get banned for abusing the different bugs in official games.

This also gives rise to the question whether Valve will reduce the significance of CSGO Coaches even more, now that even more coaches were found abusing different kinds of bugs.
