A 16-year-old boy from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shot his mother to death for not allowing him to play the game. It was later found that the young adult was addicted to playing the game. Intense game addiction has been a major issue around the country among young kids and adults.

During the investigation, the boy tries to mislead the police by narrating a fake story about the involvement of some electrician. Later it was found that the boy used his father’s gun to shoot his mother. The incident took place at night on Saturday, 4th June 2022.

Qasim Abidi, ADCP, East Lucknow said on Tuesday, “The police rushed through the spot after getting information about the incident. The forensic team reached the spot and gathered the evidence. The investigation is completed. it was revealed that the 16-year-old son shot dead his mother by using his father’s pistol. The minor boy shot dead his mother after she stopped him from playing the PUBG Game”.

The police official further added, “This is a clear case of addiction towards the game due to which he committed the crime. We have taken the boy under custody and further probe is underway”.

This is not the first incident where young adults led to committing crimes due to gaming addiction. In many cases, they tried to harm themselves when not allowed to play by their parents or guardians.

In one similar incident, A 14-year-old boy died by suicide in Central Mumbai’s Hindmata area on 13th February 2022.

The police investigation found that the suicide led due to an addiction to the online game Free Fire.

The game was banned by the government of India but the boy was still playing the game. Although the boy’s parents and teachers denied any sign of gaming addiction and that he was a bright student and fond of cricket.

Free Fire Max: Top 5 tips to improve your gameplay

Free Fire Max is a very well known battle royale game and is an advanced version of Garena’s flagship product Free Fire. This game contains a lot of in-game mechanisms that need to be polished over time if you need to win matches. Here are our top five tips that will make you better at the game.

Top 5 Free Fire Tips:

1. Choose the correct character

Free Fire Max has a ton of characters to choose from and it all depends on your play style as well as team composition. You only have two characters when you start playing the game but remember that you need to participate in events and unlock characters to be fully able to unlock your in-game potential. Characters like Dj Alok, Hayato and others can make you even better at the game.

2. Fire when aim turns red

This is a micro aspect of the game that is often neglected by players. You might have observed that your crosshair turns red for a brief time when you set it on your enemies. This is a way of the game telling you that your aim is correct and it is time to shoot. If you shoot when the aim is red, the shots are meant to hit the target.

3. Choose the correct weaponry

Free Fire Max has the same range of equipment that was initially seen in Free Fire. This means that players who are experienced at the game often take an advantage by picking the right guns. You need to make sure that you have at least one assault rifle along side a different gun as per the situation. This means that your sidearm can either be a sniper if you’re playing a long range character or another assault rifle/ shotgun if you are playing close quarters.

4. Use the gloo wall more often

Gloo wall is an excellent piece of equipment that often goes under utilized in the game. It is essentially a shield to take cover and heal or set up your attacks while the enemies are shooting. You need to make sure that you have it ready whenever necessary and use gloo wall only if the enemies are overwhelming you. Using it just to get closer to your enemies could be an option but it is not recommended.

5. Practice aim and movement

As per the saying, practice makes you perfect, you need to practice more and more in training grounds to improve your aim placement and movement. Things like jiggle fire, aiming while running and jumping crouch combinations are what will give you an advantage while playing the game. You cannot expect to win a fight while staying idle and shooting.

Use these tips and practice more often to improve overtime. Remember that small things like character changes can help you instantly but making your aim better is a prolonged process and will require a good amount of time.

Mohit Israney Talks About The Global Esports Valorant Team, Content Creation, and South Asia Arise Music Video

On 5th June, We crowned Global Esports as the winners of the Skyesports Champions Series. We had a fantastic opportunity to speak with Mohit Israney, MD & Founder of Global Esports, during the event. Mohit expressed his gratitude to the fans and was thrilled about the growing Valorant Scene.

As we all know, Global Esports has been a significant organization for the longest time and has been one of the first organization from India to have a Valorant lineup and has been unchanged since 2020.

The team has been a representative of South Asia three times now, representing India at LCQ APAC, Stage 1 VCT APAC challengers, and now Stage 2 VCT APAC Challengers. Talking about it, Mohit mentions the main reason the team does well is their tenacity and will to win and how they stick together despite the setbacks.

Mohit also commented on how the Global Esports boys are always able to reset themselves whenever it seems that they are losing the momentum or have lost a game, and they always fight till the end. And whenever it seems that their era is coming to an end, they come back saying, “GE FIGHTING.”

Eraser joined the team as a head coach in April, but he was part of the organization for a long time. Along with Eraser, Taeri was the reason behind Global’s success in Fortnite. With Malav Popat, they would be working in Valorant and helping the team win.

As all know, Mohit Israney directed the South Asia Arise and shared how the players wore their acting suits, going as far as considering method acting for some scenes so that they do justice to the role they have taken up. He thanked the players and the staff for one of the most amazing experiences.

India has been growing in content creation, with multiple esports organizations dabbling in content creation. Mohit, coming from a content creation background, says that content would bring exposure to esports, and we should try getting as much content as possible out so that people know about esports and the Indian Gaming Community as soon as possible.

Lastly, Mohit, Thanked all the fans for their support. And they would do everything for the community, and eventually, with the help of fans, they would reach new heights.

Valorant 4.11 Patch notes Revealed: Clutch Mute, bug fixes and more

0

Ahead of the New Episode 5, a new patch 4.11 would be released for Valorant today.

The patch introduces a Clutch Mute option. A keybind to mute team/party during clutches. This option would surely be appreciated as especially while playing with randoms most, the died teammates start “backseat gaming” and often affecting the outcome of a round.

With this new patch, Valorant players can now mute all the team member/party member with a key-bind. The option would be available under Communication in Settings where you have to toggle on the clutch mute option, set a key bing and then pressing the key-bind would toggle between mute/unmute for party and team.

Along with the clutch mute, many bugs were fixed including Jett’s ability to superdash where “Jett could reach very faster than intended speeds by using Tailwind in specific locations”, Yoru’s weapon equip while ulting “Fixed a bug where Yoru could use weapons earlier than intended when exiting Dimensional Drift (…again) ” .

Along with these fixes many visual and audio bugs for Skye, Sova, Chamber, Cypher, Brimstone, Astra. More of this can be read in the official patch note issued by Riot.

Valorant Patch Notes 4.11

A respawn bug while Deathmatches has also been fixed, where players respawned close to where they died increasing the chance for revenge kills. Riot also addressed the respawn issues and claimed they would constantly keep updating the system until it gets better.

Valorant 4.11 Patch notes

Clutch Mute

This is an option in-game, which gives you the option to mute your teammates/ party members whenever you want. For example, say you are trying to clutch and your friends in your party are trolling you or a random teammate is trying to bring you down, you can choose to mute them now. To do this here are the steps:

  • Go to Settings (Esc) > Controls > Communication
  • Set keybinds for Party and Team Voice Clutch Mute Keys
  • Press the keybind while in-game to Toggle “ON” the Party and/or Team Voice Clutch Mute and then again to Toggle “OFF”
  • When “ON,” you can toggle the mute any time during your match when you hit the assigned keybind. An icon will appear so you know when it’s active.

Bug Fixes

Here are all the bug fixes mentioned in riots patch release.

  • A bug where Skye would sometimes make an unintended pose, seen in third-person, when holding a gun
  • The bug where Jett could reach very faster than intended speeds by using Tailwind in specific locations (aka. “superdash”)
  • A bug where Yoru could use weapons earlier than intended when exiting Dimensional Drift (…again)
    • Some of you creative types continue to find new ways to trigger variants of this bug since the last few patches. Fixing these loopholes is intended to improve systems that are used by all abilities in the game. Because of this (in addition to the bad experience of getting shot by invisible Yoru), we are keeping a close eye on the results of these changes.
  • A bug where Yoru’s mask would flicker while running forward during Dimensional Drift
  • The bug where you would sometimes see the location of enemy Astra stars
  • A bug where you were unable to re-stabilize KAY/O after being themselves resurrected by Sage
  • The bug where the following abilities would sometimes disappear from the minimap:
    • Viper’s Toxic Screen and Poison Cloud
    • Killjoy’s Nanoswarm
    • Cypher’s Cyber Cage
  • A bug where after switching Agents in the range or in custom game, the buy menu would sometimes show invalid items
  • The bug where Chamber’s model would still teleport if killed mid-teleport
  • A bug where Skye’s Seekers and Fade’s Prowler and trails would not navigate down the chute on Breeze
  • Fixed Sova’s trick shot VO line so that it plays when he kills an enemy with a 1 or 2 bounce Shock Bolt
    • This provided information that wasn’t readily available to Sova and his team through other means. We’ve added this back, but restricted it to play only when Sova kills an enemy player with a bouncing Shock Bolt.
  • A bug where Killjoy’s Alarmbot and Chamber’s Trademark created large white circles on Brimstone’s Sky Smoke targeting map
  • The bug where Chamber’s Rendezvous range indicator does not disappear when far enough away to be off of the minimap
  • Fixed an issue where our spawn point scoring system in Deathmatch wasn’t updating correctly.
    • You should now consistently spawn farther from where you died and experience fewer “revenge” kills.
    • We’re aware the spawn system could be better and we’ll continue to make changes that improve the experience.

CSGO: Kjaerbye Makes Return With Endpoint signing

After nearly a year-long hiatus from the active competitive CS:GO scene, Danish star Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye has finally made his return to the game after signing with Endpoint.

As confirmed by Endpoint in a recent announcement, Kjaerbye has joined the European org as their fifth player to finalize the Endpoint roster.

“I’m delighted to say I have found the ideal place to pick up my rifle again with Endpoint”, Kjaerbye said, according to a recent press release by Endpoint. “The people behind Endpoint, and the culture they have created, have again and again shown they have the structures to allow players to maximise their potential, which is exactly what I’m looking for.”

The move comes after Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas benched himself from the Endpoint roster to be able to pursue other opportunities.

The last time Kjaerbye was seen competing in the active CS:GO scene was way back in mid-2021 when he was a part of the ex-North project known as HYENAS. The 24-year-old had joined the HYENAS roster after a short and unsuccessful run with FaZe which disbanded shortly afterward.

Kjaerbye voluntarily stepped away from the game in June 2021, citing mental health issues and a lack of hunger and dedication to the game.

“It’s a truly exciting prospect to be able to bring Markus into the Endpoint CS team,” Endpoint CEO Adam Jessop said in a statement. “There is no denying the caliber of talent and experience he will bring to the lineup. After having a number of conversations with him, I fully believe that he is as passionate and focused as ever, ready to continue his CS career again, and that we can help him along that journey.”

Following the signing of Kjaerbye, the current roster of Endpoint consists of the following players:

  • Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel
  • Max “MiGHTYMAX” Heath
  • Kia “Surreal” Man
  • Guy “Nertz” Iluz
  • Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye
  • Allan “Rejin” Petersen (coach)

Fans will be able to see the new Endpoint roster in action when they compete in the upcoming ESL Pro League Conference Season 16, which is set to kick off on June 15.
