Day 4 of Summer Games Fest will be exciting as Microsoft’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is scheduled for today with the publisher talking about their next-gen titles releasing later this year which may include Fable, Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and un-titled Indiana Jones game.

Even without E3, Microsoft plans to hold its trademarked large-scale presentation that the company has become known for over the years. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is arguably the most anticipated gaming showcase of the Summer Games Fest with the rumors of Xbox talking about future XCloud expansion and Bethesda talking about Starfield.

Aside from Starfield, there are rumors going around that Bethesda will talk about Prey 2. For those that didn’t know, Prey 2 is a sequel to the 2006 released Prey. The sequel was canceled after the studio Human Head working on the game had management issues which evidently lead Bethesda to move the game development to Arkane Studios in late 2011. The game quietly ceased development and later in 2014, Bethesda formerly announced the cancelation of its release.

Now a screenshot from the alleged showcase was shared by Reddit user “u/Janus_Prospero”.

Revenant Esports adds Paradox, Creates a six-man Valorant Roster

0

Revenant Esports, previously God Particles, is one of the Strongest Valorant Rosters in India. They were amongst the six teams in the recent South Asia qualifiers, i.e., Skyesports Champions Series, where they had a solid run in the group stage.

The team started strong and managed to take on the Giants of Enigma Gaming and Global esports by their horn, upsetting Global Esports and losing to Enigma Gaming in the last round. Both Enigma and Global went on to be the finalists in the event.

Despite their strong start in the event, Revenant Esports had difficulty converting their performance and failed to win in the playoffs, getting eliminated on the third day. Still, the team’s raw potential and the talent they displayed were genuinely tremendous.

Soon after their run in SCS playoffs, the team announced a partnership with AMD and Corsair and a player change in Scargod departing the team.

Yesterday they announced the addition of Shailesh “Blackhawk” Dalvi as the new fifth of the team.

Today, Revenant announced the addition of Kasif “Paradox” Sayyed, making a six-man roster. Paradox, the former team captain of True Rippers, still plays multiple Esports titles and competes in numerous games representing India at the highest level.

Paradox was last seen playing with Team Valor, where they defeated all the other teams to become the winner of the Indian Qualifiers beating Reckoning Esports.

Paradox generally plays a sentinel but has been seen playing Raze in the new meta. He has played Cypher the most in the last 30 days and played Killjoy and Viper as the support agent. With the addition of Paradox and Blackhawk, it would be interesting to see how the new Revenant Esports would look.

The next LAN event for the team’s debut with this six-man roster would be Skyesports Souvenir Series, Hyderabad. With Whimp as the IGL, it would be interesting to see if the six-man roster works.

In general six-man rosters have difficulty finding success with all the six members in rotation. One of the players might feel left out, which isn’t suitable for the roster or the player, so there are seldom active six-man rosters in Valorant or CSGO.

With the addition of Paradox, The new Revenant Esports would look like this:

  • Saaransh “Whimp” Dang
  • Abhay “KnightRider” Mulchandani
  • Arnav “Logistaa” Kalra
  • Garvit “Ember” Nehra
  • Shailesh “Blackhawk” Dalvi
  • Kasif “Paradox” Sayyed

With Rahul “HBK” Kumar still being the team’s coach, It would be fun to see how the new roster would work and what roles each individual would take, with almost all the players being versatile and flexible. The line-up sure does have a lot of potential.

Ahead of changing competitive ecosystem, For Revenant Esports to secure sponsors and create a well-rounded Valorant team is a good sign for Revenant fans and Valorant fans in India for General.

India was one of the 60 countries that participated in this event and was placed in Middle East and Africa zone in 2021. After a stellar performance and 22nd global finish in 2021 season, India was moved to Asia and Oceania region with a seeded spot in play-ins stage.

India played a total of 32 games in this stage and finished with a scoreline of 12 wins, 11 losses and 9 draws. This has allowed India to qualify for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 Playoffs by finishing second in Consistency Charts point table.

Na’Vi b1t shows a trick to practice with bots while queuing up for match-making games

0

A new trick in Counter Strike : Global Offensive has been brought under light thanks to Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi from Natus Vincere who showed the same on one of his streams.

Ever tried to practice in a practice server while queuing up in match-making servers? I guess every time you have tried to launch a workshop server, the search would have got cut off and you may have to start queuing up again for a match.

This unusual condition may not have been officially patched by the developers at Valve but Natus Vincere’s b1t did it as he was able to enter to practice in an aim map from the workshop while searching for a match.

All you need to do is follow these steps :

1. Launch CS:GO
2. Hit the Play CS:GO button
3. From the left hand corner, click on Workshop from the dropdown
4. If you have your custom map installed, well and good. In either case, Visit the workshop and add the map to your collection.
5. Now you may start searching for a game. While searching, open your console and type map <space> name of the map.
6. The game may auto suggest it for you in some cases but it’s recommended to memorize the name of the map.
7. You may now practice on the map with the bots and would also be able to accept the match if one pops up.

Wordle 357 Answer for June 11: Check Wordle Answer and Hints

0

Wordle is a word guessing game published by New York Times. The game was created by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle and started gaining much attention online. Every day People rush to nytimes.com to solve the wordle and maintain a streak.

Wordle is a global phenomenon with the primary objective being guessing a five-letter word in six tries. Every time you enter a word, the letters turn either Green or Yellow, which are clues to guess the “Word of the day.”

A green tile signifies the letter is correctly positioned, while a yellow tile represents the letter is present in the word but in the wrong position. One’s supposed to use these clues to guess what is the “Word of the day.”

The “Word of the day” resets every 24-hours, and the website uses Caches to store your progress which includes accuracy, streak, and total no. of times you played the game. People worldwide try to guess the word every day and maintain the streak, which is the main reason the game is popular.

Solving 11th June’s Wordle #357

An excellent first word for every day should be something that would provide maximum information. One such word is ‘ADIEU,’ Adieu gives you four out of five vowels, and there are seldom words without a vowel.

The next step involves trying to guess the word based on the first word. Let’s assume it is ‘ADIEU’ for Wordle #357. In that case, we get E as the incorrectly positioned letter.

Now, if you have ‘Hard Mode’ enabled, you’d have to ensure the next word includes the letter E. If not, you can go with ‘CORNY,’ which gives you correctly positioned ‘O’ and eliminates other letters.

Now the next word should contain O in the second position and E depending on the word formation can be in the third, fourth or fifth position. The next guess in this case is crucial as it’d determine whether you’d get information or not.

Wordle #357 Solution: Goose

GOOSE is long necked water bird, with webbed feet which survive primarily on grains.

Debunk’d: The Falling Pick Rates of Valorant Duelists

Valorant was developed as Riot’s answer to the unwavering tactical shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the game is beloved by many CSGO veterans and infant Tact FPS players. Valorant managed to capture audiences from day one with more straightforward gun mechanics than its competitor.

Adapting a similar 5 v 5 Search and Destroy Round system but adding a twist where every individual agent in the team of five would have distinctive roles, and depending on the agent’s role, they had abilities. Abilities such as smokes, flashes, stuns, etc.

These abilities made the game fun, and the agents were divided into four categories. Controllers, Duelists, Initiators, Sentinels, each with unique and distinctive abilities but no other category came close to the Duelists in terms of Highlights. Duelists were and still are the most beloved agent categories and are still enjoyed by the casuals and professionals.

In the professional scene, though, the duelists are starting to lose the positions they had. With last year’s meta utilizing two duelists to this year, some teams successfully run no duelist composition. Valorant’s meta does change a lot, but Duelists’ earlier role had been reduced by a lot.

Neon3%3%8%13%0%
Yoru0%0%0%<1%<1%
Phoenix0%0%0%0%0%

As we can see, The most picked agent has switched to Chamber from a duelist earlier. This is especially true after the Jett nerf. The pick rate for Jett fell from around 60%+ to 25-30%. Raze was the only duelist getting picked 45%, which is once every two maps.

This doesn’t mean teams aren’t using duelists, but it does mean, In the current strategy-heavy meta, the role of duelist isn’t as significant as it was.

This is a good sign for Competitive Valorant as the agents played is increasing, and with Riot’s plan to add 10-11 agents per class, No single agent or agent class should take over Valorant. But it was the case for 2020 and 2021, where running a duelist was necessary.

Now, teams realize that running Jett or Reyna is suitable only when the player is talented, for example, Tenz in 2021, Where he absolutely rolled over everyone with the Jett. If Jett, the most picked agent last year and duelist, doesn’t do well, the attack crumbles. The same applies to Reyna, where both have no additional value to the team if they don’t frag.

Now, with Competitive professional Valorant, all the players are almost at the same level in pure mechanical prowess. This means a duelist necessarily doesn’t guarantee anything. If the duelist can frag and create space, it’s well and good. If not, it’s just a burden to the team without a role.

Thus now picking an agent who would be better suited for the team, Especially when Valorant is moving towards a more slow, strategic, team-oriented style of play, just makes more sense than playing an agent whose value entirely depends on the person’s ability to kill.

Duelist’s primary goal is to find opening kills, where Jett and Reyna specialize, which can now be done with a Chamber, and Unlike Reyna, he doesn’t need a kill to dismiss away, and there is no chance of error like Jett. He can take the duel, succeed or not, and come back to a safe position, guarded by the team.

Also, Operator, which was only viable on Jett earlier, is better suited for Chamber. With his Headhunter, Rendezvous, Trademark, Tour De Force, Chamber is a solid alternative for Jett. The best example is Optic’s Yay, who seamlessly switched from Jett to Chamber and has been absolutely dominant, especially on defense.

The following important job for a duelist is to create space, which is still dependent on a duelist and is done well by Raze or Neon. Assisted by a suitable initiator, Raze and Neon with Blast pack and High Gear can cover a lot of space in a short amount of time. Though this doesn’t guarantee success and isn’t absolutely necessary.

Raze still is one of the best duelists in the game, and it has been for a long time. It was overshadowed by Jett, especially because Jett was an operator agent while Raze was not, and the skill ceiling for Raze is much higher than for Jett. Raze’s abilities can be used creatively, making her an asset even if a Raze has a lousy game aim-wise.

Neon is a bit dependent on fragging, but it creates a lot of space with her abilities making her worth on some maps, and it can change positions fast to catch the opponents off-guard.

Other duelists, Phoenix, Yoru, and Reyna, aren’t great. With Reyna adding no value to the team if she doesn’t frag, Yoru doesn’t make any impact with all his fancy utilities, and Phoenix is just lackluster. His flashes are complicated, his blaze expires soon, and hot hands aren’t as practical as Brimstone’s or Kay/O’s molotovs.

Considering all the reasons above, it starts to make sense why competitive valorant is moving towards running single duelist or no duelist. Especially on Icebox, most compositions turn away from duelists.

A good aimer can still pull off ridiculous highlights on a duelist, single-handedly carry the team, and still get 30, 40 kills, but that’s a chance one would not take if they are playing the game professionally. Instead, they’d choose to play something which would definitely work.

The good thing about Valorant is that it is ever-changing. There are still a lot of agents to be added, and the meta shifts often. Riot does a great job at ensuring that things keep changing and whatever agents are played most has a substitute making Valorant much more intricate, detailed and fun.

Valorant Xenohunter Skins Can Give You a Competitive Disadvantage

0

The Xenohunter skin bundle is the newest bundle that has been introduced to the Valorant in-game store by Riot Games. However, if you’re looking to grab the bundle the next time you log in to the game, you might want to hold off on that thought for a while.

According to several posts that have surfaced on social media over the past few days, the Xenohunter skins can potentially give you a competitive disadvantage in the game.

Now if you’ve already taken a look at the Xenohunter skins in the game, you’re probably no stranger to the fact that the Xenohunter Phantom has a small radar equipped to it on its side. This radar can easily be ‘pay to lose’ in some situations as it can block the view of a portion of the screen that would otherwise be visible.

In a fast-paced competitive game like Valorant, even a slight delay in spotting an enemy can lose you a round, which is why being unable to spot the enemies with the Xenohunter Phantom equipped can often make you lose crucial rounds in Valorant.

The issue has been brought to light by multiple Reddit users soon after the release of the bundle.

The pay-to-lose aspects of the Xenohunter Phantom can be easily highlighted when a player is in A Heaven on Ascent. As YouTuber ‘SeLFlo’ has pointed out, enemies located just below heaven aren’t visible with the Xenohunter Phantom equipped, but can be seen just fine with the default variant of the gun. You can check out SeLFlo’s video discussing the issue here.

Fans of the shooter aren’t very happy about this noticeable flaw in the Xenohunter Bundle, and many are choosing to not purchase the bundle as a result of these existent issues.

Valorant is a multiplayer shooter by Riot Games and is currently available to play on PC.

Enigma Gaming’s out of VCT APAC Challengers; Loses 1-2 to Cerberus Esports

0

The Valorant Champions Tour APAC Challengers Play-In started on 9th June, with South Asia’s Enigma Gaming taking on the might of the rest of Asia. Unfortunately for South Asian/Indian fans, though, in an Elimination game against Cerberus Esports, Enigma Gaming couldn’t close out the game losing 1-2 against them.

Enigma Gaming was the second seed from South Asia and had a dominant run throughout the whole series of South Asia qualifiers, i.e., Skyesports Champions Series. They were undefeated throughout the tournament and only lost one game at the finals against Global Esports.

The loss against Global Esports forced them to play the Play-In stage, where Enigma Gaming had to battle three contemporaries from South Asia to qualify for the Group Stage of Valorant Champions Tour APAC qualifiers. You can read more about the format and the teams here.

In Enigma Gaming’s inaugural game, they played Made in Thailand, the third seed from Thailand. The game went on to three maps. With the first map Haven, Made in Thailand’s pick, was a close affair, but Enigma failed to capitalize on their momentum, losing the game 11-13.

In the second game of Ascent, Enigma Gaming’s Map pick, Despite a back and forth 6-6 half, managed to comfortably close out the game 13-9, making the map score 1-1. Onto the third map, Bind, Both halves in regulation ended with both teams with six rounds. In overtime, Made in Thailand surprised Enigma and won the first OT 2-0, Winning the map 14-12 and the game 2-1.

This loss put Enigma Gaming in the lower bracket against Cerberus Esports, Vietnam’s second seed. The game was very intense and back and forth. With the first map of Haven, Cerberus’s map pick went in favor of Enigma Gaming, with Enigma gaming winning the map comfortably with a scoreline of 13-7.

Enigma Gaming’s Ascent had a close first half, with both teams getting six rounds, But in the second half, Cerberus managed to run away with the game closing the map 9-13 in their favor.

On Split, Enigma Gaming seemed dominant on attack and kept finding holes in Cerberus’s defense. They managed to amass eight such rounds.

In the second half, though, Enigma Gaming dwindled and had a hard time containing Cerberus’s attack losing the game 11-13 despite a dominant first half.

With the map loss, Enigma Gaming lost their elimination game 1-2 to Cerberus gaming. Their performance was solid despite this being the first time they were representing South Asia and facing International competition. The loss does mean Enigma Gaming is eliminated from the Valorant Champions Tour APAC qualifiers.

Enigma gaming had an excellent showing, where they never seemed to be any less than their contemporaries. All their matches were hard-fought battles, and they had a strong chance of winning. With more exposure and practice with International Teams, Enigma Gaming would surely come out on top again.

Now the hope of South Asia rests on Global Esports’ shoulders, unlike Enigma Gaming, which had limited exposure to International Competition. This would be Global Esports’ Third time facing other Asian Teams and Let’s hope they make a deep run and hopefully represent APAC in Masters Copenhagen.
