It hasn’t been long since the Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 update hit the live servers, and fans of the competitive shooter are already eager to know what the next Valorant Act will bring to the game.

The upcoming Valorant Episode 9 Act 2 update is expected to bring a ton of new content to the title, including a new Agent, new skin bundles, and a fresh new Battle Pass.

In this article, we take a look at everything we know so far about the Valorant Episode 9 Act 2 update, including the new Agent it’s expected to bring, its release date, and more.

Valorant Episode 9 Act 2: Release Date

The Valorant Episode 9 Act 2 update is set to hit the live servers on August 27, 2024. Depending on your region, you may also receive the update around August 28th.

Typically, the Valorant servers will go down for maintenance a few hours before the update, which may result in a temporary disruption in gameplay. This downtime allows the developers to implement the new content and ensure that everything runs smoothly once the update goes live. Players should plan accordingly and be prepared for a brief period when the game will be unavailable.

Valorant Episode 9 Act 2: New Agent

Riot Games has previously teased a new Valorant Agent coming to the game in the map reveal trailer of Abyss. For the uninitiated, Abyss is the newest Valorant map and was added to the game with patch 8.11. However, it wasn’t until the Episode 9 update that the developers added Abyss to the competitive map pool.

The teaser showcased a claw, which is presumed to be the hands of the next Valorant Agent. The Agent seems to be trapped in a container filled with ice.
