The VALORANT Champions 2026 bundle adds a new feature to Riot Games’ yearly esports collection, and it makes the 2026 set different from every Champions bundle that came before it.
If you weren’t interested in previous Valorant Champions bundles, this year’s bundle might be for you. Below is a full breakdown of what the bundle includes, its cost, release date, and how it compares to past years.
What Is in the VALORANT Champions 2026 Bundle?
The 2026 collection is called “Frag or Die.” It includes a Phantom skin and a Fan melee weapon. Riot swapped out the usual knife design for a folding fan, a nod to Shanghai, where VALORANT Champions 2026 is being held.
The Phantom has 4 upgrade levels. The Fan melee has 3. Both use a black, white, gold, and red color scheme built around the Champions theme.
The bundle also comes with a Champions-themed Player Card, and leaks point to 2 Gun Buddies and a Spray rounding out the set. Riot revealed the collection alongside this year’s official Champions anthem, “If the Sun Burns Out Tonight,” performed by Grabbitz, Oli Sykes, and Courtney LaPlante.
The Phantom and Fan melee change their entire look based on which side a player is on. On the Defender side, the weapons use a pearl-white base with gold Champions detailing. On the Attacker side, they switch to an onyx-black design, still with gold accents. Riot has never built a Champions collection around this kind of side-based transformation before.
The bundle also includes a Champions Aura, a glow effect that activates when a player reaches the top of the scoreboard. The aura’s color changes depending on which side variant is equipped. The finisher animation features VALORANT agents Sage and Viper with their animal counterparts, and its visuals shift depending on whether the black or white version of the weapon is active.
How Past Champions Bundles Compared
Every Champions bundle since the tournament began in 2021 has featured either the Phantom or the Vandal, rotating each year without repeats. The 2026 bundle continues that pattern with the Phantom, following last year’s Vandal-based set.
The Champions 2025 bundle, called “Go for Gold,” used a different gimmick. Instead of changing based on map side, that collection’s Vandal and butterfly knife turned fully gold after a kill, and stayed gold as long as the player kept getting frags. It also had custom firing sound effects, a muzzle flash shaped like the VCT logo, and music from the anthem playing during the weapon inspect animation.
The 2025 set cost around 6,620 VP in total, with the Vandal priced at 2,676 VP and the Butterfly Knife at 5,350 VP. Fifty percent of net proceeds went to VCT partner teams that year.
Riot has not confirmed an official price for the 2026 bundle. Based on early reports, the full collection is expected to cost around 6,100 to 6,500 VP, or roughly $65. Some leaks suggest the price could land closer to 6,460 VP once all 3 Player Cards, 2 Gun Buddies, and the Spray are factored in.
Like every Champions bundle before it, a portion of the proceeds from the 2026 collection will go to VCT partner teams. Riot has followed this model since the Champions collection started, and past bundles have directed similar shares of revenue back into the competitive scene. The Champions 2026 bundle is expected to keep that tradition going once it launches ahead of Shanghai.
