T1 has assembled a Valorant powerhouse, TenZ, crashies and Sacy reportedly for VCT Pacific 2027

TenZ is reportedly coming out of retirement to join T1 with crashies and head coach Sacy for VCT Pacific 2027. Here is what the roster could look like.

T1 is reportedly building one of the most eye-catching rosters VALORANT has seen in years. According to reports from Sheep Esports, TenZ is set to come out of retirement to join T1’s competitive lineup for the 2027 VCT Pacific season. American initiator crashies is also on his way to the Korean organisation. On top of that, Brazilian world champion Sacy is set to take over as head coach, which would reunite him with his former Sentinels teammate.

None of the three moves has been confirmed by T1 yet. However, the reports land just days after the club officially began clearing space, announcing on November 2 that Meteor, DH and head coach KDG were leaving the team.

TenZ returns to pro VALORANT two years after retiring

The headline move is TenZ, who announced his retirement from professional play on September 14, 2024, shortly after Sentinels finished fourth at Champions 2024 in Seoul. Since then, he has stayed close to the game as a content creator, and in May 2026 he even joined T1 as an influencer rather than a player.

That deal now looks like the first step of something bigger. TenZ had already hinted at a comeback when he posted that he was looking for a team. A full return with T1 would give the Pacific region one of the most recognisable players in VALORANT history. With Sentinels, he won Masters Reykjavík in 2021 and then Masters Madrid in 2024, the title that brought the organisation back to the top of the international scene.

crashies and Sacy complete T1’s international core

crashies, meanwhile, would be heading to his third competitive region. The American played for NRG in the Americas before spending the last two seasons with Fnatic in EMEA, where he won VCT EMEA Stage 1 and finished runner-up at Champions 2025. Fnatic’s 2026 was far harder, though, since the team failed to reach Champions or any other international event for the first time in its history.

There is also a neat bit of history to the move. crashies began his VALORANT career with T1 back in April 2020, so this reported signing would bring him back to the organisation more than six years later. He has mainly played initiator throughout his career, although he spent time on sentinel duties towards the end of Fnatic’s 2026 campaign.

Sacy, on the other hand, is reportedly switching from player to coach. The Brazilian won VALORANT Champions 2022 with LOUD and then played alongside TenZ at Sentinels for two years, including the Masters Madrid run. Taking charge of T1 would make him the head coach of a team built around a player he already knows well.

Who stays at T1 for VCT Pacific 2027

Not everything about the lineup is settled, though. According to the same reports, T1 has also decided to part ways with Munchkin, while talks over contract extensions with BuZz and stax are said to be ongoing. iZu, by contrast, is expected to stay, since his contract runs until the end of 2027.

That leaves several questions open, especially around how a lineup with two North American players will handle communication alongside its Korean core. It also remains unclear which role TenZ, who made his name as a duellist, would take on in a lineup that is still being finalised.

Even so, T1 is not rebuilding from a position of weakness. The club won Masters Bangkok in 2025, its first international trophy, and has qualified for Champions three times in four VCT seasons. When it said goodbye to KDG, T1 also credited him with taking the team to the first Champions playoffs in its history.

A new-look VCT 2027 season raises the stakes

The timing matters, because 2027 also brings a major overhaul of the VCT circuit. T1 kept its spot as one of eight VCT Pacific partner teams for the 2027 to 2028 cycle, alongside rivals such as Gen.G and Paper Rex. The new season also adds regional Cups and open qualifiers to the calendar.

The international schedule is packed as well, since Riot’s 2027 calendar runs from Kickoff at the start of the year through Masters Seoul and Masters Valencia to Champions in Austin. A team with T1’s ambitions will therefore have plenty of chances to test its new lineup against the best in the world.

On X, fan reaction has been split between excitement over the star power and doubts about whether an international roster can click in a region where Gen.G and Paper Rex have set the pace. T1 has not commented on the reports, so the only confirmed changes so far are the exits of Meteor, DH and KDG, which have already cleared plenty of room for a lineup built around TenZ.
