Splyce’s David “Davey” Stafford in the North American IEM Katowice Open Qualifier had troubling accusations after he was caught stream-snipping during the game.
The 21-year-old could be heard in the game chat referring their opponents’ in-game economy during the broadcast.
David, however, denied the allegations made against him on Twitter, the tweet have since been deleted.
Spylce’s co-owner Marty also defended the player’s stand, and called it a ‘bad joke.’
One of our players made a joke in bad taste. He’s been spoken to about it but there wasn’t any sniping taking place.
