Singapore Major, the second most-watched DotA 2 Major ever

The first offline DOTA 2 Major since January 2020 was enjoyed for over 20 million hours by fans, according to escharts.com. The Kyiv Major (2017) is still the most-watched DOTA 2 Major of all time. PGL produced both events.

Bucharest, April 7, 2021 – The first DOTA 2 Major took place in November 2015, with Singapore Major being the 22nd event on the list. PGL organized or collaborated on 8 of these events.

The Singapore Major becomes the second most successful DOTA 2 Major of all time. The enthusiasts watched over 20 million hours, and the event had 605,335 Peak Viewers, which is also the second-highest in history.

The first Major in Singapore aired for 105 hours and had an Average Viewers number of 195,611.

PGL hosted the three highest Peak Viewers Majors of all time:

  1. Kyiv Major – 842,585
  2. Singapore Major – 605,335
  3. Kuala Lumpur Major – 526,024

The golden minute of the tournament was reached during the Grand Final between Evil Geniuses and Invictus Gaming when 605,335 viewers watched one of the most spectacular finals in DOTA 2 history.

The Singapore Major was also the first-ever DOTA Major broadcasted in 4K.
