Global Esports choose Singapore to Compete at VCT APAC; VLT to base at Chennai

Global Esports is headed to Singapore to compete in Valorant Champions Tour: Asia Pacific Challengers 1. After qualifying via the Valorant Conquerors Championship, the team is looking to earn a slot at Valorant Masters One.

The team needs a top-two finish at VCT APAC but it will have to get past some of the best teams in the region including India’s Velocity Gaming.

Velocity Gaming will compete from India

VCC champions Velocity Gaming will compete from Chennai. The team has earned a direct slot in the group stages after their victory at VCC last month.

Global Esports on the other hand will have to pass the trial of the play-ins to enter the group stage.

Global Esports is the only Indian team to have competed in a VCT international LAN event. The team made its way to the APAC Last Chance Qualifier this year, but it could not earn a slot in Valorant Champions after being knocked out.

With a new competitive season underway, Global Esports and Velocity Gaming will be looking to make India proud at the event.

The event will start on 10th March 2022 and conclude on 27th March 2022. Global Esports will participate in the play-ins that will take place on 10th and 11th March. Velocity Gaming will participate in the group stage directly but the matchups will be decided only after the play-ins end.

With $150,000 in prize money on the line along with the opportunity to be on the international stage at VCT Masters One, both Indian teams will be looking to win the event. Vera Esports is the official broadcasting partner for the event and fans can check out the matches live here.
