Get details on Night City's most wanted.

cyberpunk 2077 gangs

Much of your time playing CD Projekt Red’s latest open-world RPG is spent dealing with different megacorporations and gangs that make up the majority of Night City’s underworld population in Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City doesn’t sound like the nicest of places to live and with these ruffians around, you need need to be extra careful while exploring the city.

In addition to the three megacorporations that dominate most of the Night City, there are a total of ten smaller gangs, each with their turf. While most of these gangs reside in Night City within their turf, two gangs reside in the desert outskirts called the Badlands.

According to CD Projekt Red, you can’t join any particular gang; however, depending on the choices and chosen Lifepath, you’ll often deal with the gangs as friends or as foes in Cyberpunk 2077. Many of the gangs also have different rivalries with each other, and you’ll have to choose who to help at different points in your playthrough.

Here’s a list of all the gangs in Cyberpunk 2077:

1.  TYGER CLAWS (Turf: Westbrook – Japantown & Charter Hill and Watson – Kabuki & Little China)

Most commonly found in Japantown, the Tyger Claws run a mixture of legitimate businesses and less-than-legal rackets in the red light district. They are essentially the Japenese Yakuza that rely more on martial arts and Katanas.

2. THE MOX (Turf: None officially, but they’re found close to Lizzie’s Bar in Kabuki)

The Mox mainly consist of sex workers, punks, anarchists, and others who were inspired by Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Borden, a stripper that became a strip-club owner. While they’re nowhere near as big as many of the other gangs, they mainly focus on protecting sex workers and stay out of the way of other gangs, except for the Tyger Claws who are their rivals.

3. ALDECALDOS (Turf: Night City outskirts, the Badlands)

The Aldecaldos are a gang situated in the Badlands outside Night City. This nomadic gang began as a response to the death of Elder Aldecaldo’s son – Juan. They’re experts in scavenging and smuggling. They mostly live in converted RVs and spend time working for others tinkering their juiced-up cars.

4. 6TH STREET GANG (Turf: Santo Domingo – Arroyo & Rancho Coronado)

Initially founded by American veterans, the 6th Street were the good guys, that stood up to any corporation or gang that would harass the local citizens. Over time, the group became an actual gang and expanded into gun-running and smuggling.

5. VALENTINOS (Turf: Heywood – The Glen, Wellsprings, & Vista Del Rey)

The Valentinos are basically a Mexican drug cartel. The Valentinos focus on drug trafficking and car theft, though they also operate some legitimate businesses.

6. MAELSTROM (Turf: Watson – Northside Industrial District & Northern Kabuki)

The techno-nerds that love cyberware. They implant their bodies with all sorts of powerful and highly illegal cyberware, thinking that being more machine than man is worth all the trouble. They fund their cyber accessory habits by smuggling, executing heists, and taking on hit jobs.

7. VOODOO BOYS (Turf: Pacifica and The Net)

The Voodoo Boys are one of the most technically-focused gangs, they want nothing more than to jack into the Net to get the job done. The gang’s primary form of income is through digital theft.

8. ANIMALS (Turf: None officially)

They often work as bouncers and bodyguards throughout the Night City. These meat-heads are obsessed with muscle-enhancing bioware and cyberware. Taking them head-on is very dangerous due to their extreme strength and constitution and are currently involved in a Turf War with the Voodoo Boys.

9. WRAITHS (Turf: Night City outskirts, Badlands)

Much like Aldecaldos, The Wraiths live in the outskirts of Night City. They are exiles who wear ghost-like garb and terrorize the other nomads with their raid parties. They are packed with rocket launchers or heavy guns and will blow things up to get what they want.

10. SCAVENGERS (Turf: All across Night City)

Unlike others, Scavengers are generally spread across the Night City. Seen by locals as the scum, they are like vultures and will pick-off implants from their unsuspecting victims and sell the wares to the highest bidder. They lack a real hierarchy or organization outside of individual groups and are only a gang in a very loose sense of the term.
