Nintendo Direct: All Major Game Announcements

Nintendo’s recent 40-minute presentation gave us a first look at multiple upcoming Nintendo Switch titles along with updates and surprise announcements.

Here are some of the biggest announcements made during the September 2021 Direct.

Bayonetta 3

Platinum Games had been silent ever since Bayonetta 3’s announcement four years ago, but we finally get to see the infamous Witch once again in this over-the-top gameplay which shows off Bayonetta’s new Demon Masquerade ability.

Bayonetta 3 is scheduled to release sometime in 2022.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

The pink hero returns in this 3D platformer, a first for the series, and is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Kirby and the Forgotten Land releases in Spring 2022. 

Monster Hunter: Rise Sunbreak

Monster Hunter: Rise’s new expansion, Sunbreak,  will bring new quests, locations, monsters, and more. This paid expansion releases in Summer 2022 for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Chocobo GP

Square Enix is taking notes from Mario Kart in this Final Fantasy spin-off title featuring Chocobos and go-kart racing, coming out in 2022.

Splatoon 3

Splatoon 3 was announced earlier this year, and Nintendo shared a new trailer titled “Return of the Mammalians” which shows off Splatoon 3’s multiplayer and story-mode gameplay. 

Splatoon 3 will release in 2022.
