The Free Fire OB55 Update is set to bring several new gameplay features and changes for players. Based on features shown by LOGIC GAMER, the upcoming version includes new weapons, changes to horses, a Halloween-themed experience, new grenades, character changes, a different airdrop animation, and more. The Free Fire OB55 Update release date is expected to be September 16, 2026. Some features are currently based on testing/early gameplay, so the final version may have changes when it reaches the main server.
Free Fire OB55 Update Adds New Horse Features
Horses are receiving some interesting changes in OB55. A new Water Horse variant has been shown with a ghostly water-themed appearance.
Horses will also receive a speed booster. Similar to vehicles, players can activate the boost for a short time to travel faster.

New Spectator Doll Feature After Elimination
One of the most unusual changes is coming to the spectator system.
After being eliminated, players can transform into a ghost-like doll instead of only watching their teammates. The doll can move within around 50 metres of surviving teammates.
Players in this form can move around, jump higher and use four special emotes. According to the video, it could also be useful for checking nearby enemies or loot while staying close to teammates.
New Weapons Coming in Free Fire New Update
Several new weapons were shown in the upcoming version.
- M79 Rifle – A new weapon added to the rifle category.
- RPK – A new machine gun similar to the M249.
- ESCORP – A new SMG with similarities to the UMP.
- HAVOC Sniper – A sniper capable of firing two shots per trigger pull and dealing high damage.
- M200 Sniper – Appeared in the interface, but its gameplay availability is currently unconfirmed.
The final weapon lineup could change before the main update releases.
Halloween Theme and New Ghost Mask
The Free Fire new update also features Halloween-themed changes.
Locations such as Clock Tower and Factory can feature darker skies, floating vehicles and tornado-like visual effects.
Players can also find a special spooky mask. Using it can provide a speed boost and transform the player into a monster-like form with special sound effects. It can also reveal hidden interactive locations where players can find additional loot.
Meteor Airdrop Animation Coming in FF OB55 Update
Airdrops are also receiving a new visual effect.
Instead of simply landing normally, the new airdrops can fall like meteorites and crash directly into the ground.
Special loot machines and crates are also shown around the map. These can provide useful items such as UAVs and Healing UAVs.

Kenta Rework and Spider Drone Changes in FF OB55 Update
Kenta is getting both visual and gameplay changes. The character has been shown with longer hair and a changed ability.
According to the video, Kenta can launch a whirlwind forward, which can damage enemies and also includes a teleport-related mechanic.
The Spider Drone feature is also being improved. When controlling it, players will now be able to see the action directly from the drone’s point of view.
New Grenades Coming to Clash Squad
Two new grenade types have also been shown for Clash Squad.
The Sonar or Mark Grenade can mark and track enemies, including their movement behind cover. Another Flame/Lava Grenade creates a burning area after landing and can damage players caught inside it.
New Profile and UI Features in FF OB55 Update
OB55 is also expected to bring some smaller quality-of-life additions.
A Nearby Player Search option can allow users to find other Free Fire players nearby. Players will also have an option to display their login streak on their profile banner.
Another fun addition is the Mini Car emote. Players can spawn a small vehicle, drive it around and even have teammates join them.
With new weapons, Halloween content, character changes and several gameplay features, the Free Fire OB55 Update looks like a big update. However, players should remember that features shown during testing can be changed or removed before the final release.
