EA removes Project Cars & Other Games From Its Lineup

Xbox players are soon going to face a slight disappointment if they opt to buy the ultimate Xbox Games pass as a total of 10 games are soon going to be removed from its highest tier. The list of games includes famous Project CARS and several other ones.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a subscription option for Xbox users as they can opt to buy this pass to get special perks like PC Game Pass library, special perks, and all the EA Play titles.

Some other perks include the access to all the games in Xbox but apparently, a total of 10 games will be removed from this list from October 3. The reason for this removal has not been cited by the officials yet but it could be due to the expired license issue.

List of games removed from EA Play in October 2022

Following games will be removed from EA Play by the start of October:

  • Dirt 4
  • Dirt Rally
  • Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
  • Overlord
  • Overlord: Fellowship of Evil
  • Overlord: Raising Hell
  • Overlord 2
  • Project Cars
  • Rise of Argonauts
  • Toybox Turbos

Why Project CARS was removed?

The reason for the removal of two games; Project CARS and Project CARS 2; have been officially revealed by their developers. The statement is as follows:

“A message from the Slightly Mad Team. Due to expiring car & track licenses, both Project CARS and Project CARS 2 will be delisted from sale in the coming months. The games remain fully playable, and our players will still be able to enjoy all the game features, including multiplayer. We will remove Project CARS from sale on October 3rd and Project CARS 2 on September 21st. We remain focused on making the best sim racing titles, and as mentioned previously, we look forward to sharing more on the next Slightly Mad project when the time is right.”
