KRAFTON India has unveiled the BGMI Showdown (BMSD) 2026 as the first major tournament in its esports roadmap for the second half of 2026. Unlike BGIS and BMPS, BMSD will not feature open registrations. Instead, the tournament will bring together 48 of India’s top-performing BGMI teams, selected through their performances in the KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) Leaderboard, BGIS 2026, and BMPS 2026. The tournament begins on September 22 and will feature multiple stages, including Promotion & Relegation rounds, Survival stages, Semi Finals, and Last Chance, before ending with the LAN Grand Finals from October 16 to 18. With a ₹1 crore prize pool, BMSD is set to be one of the biggest domestic BGMI tournaments of the year and will showcase India’s top teams competing for another prestigious KRAFTON title.

BMSD 2026 will feature 48 invited teams from across India. Since it is an invite-only tournament, there will be no open qualifiers.
The competition starts with three weeks of Promotion & Relegation matches, where teams will fight to remain in contention. The tournament will then move into the Upper Bracket Survival and Lower Bracket Survival stages before the Semi Finals.
Teams that fail to qualify directly from the Semi Finals will receive one final opportunity through the Last Chance Stage. The best teams from these rounds will advance to the LAN Grand Finals, where the BMSD 2026 champion will be crowned.
BMSD 2026 Teams
A total of 48 teams will compete in the tournament.
Invitations will be awarded based on performances across KRAFTON India’s official esports ecosystem, including:
- KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) Leaderboard
- BGIS 2026
- BMPS 2026
The complete list of invited teams will be announced by KRAFTON India in the coming weeks.
BMSD 2026 Prize Pool
The tournament features a ₹1 crore prize pool, making it one of the richest domestic BGMI competitions of the season.
Besides the prize money, BMSD also gives India’s best teams another opportunity to prove themselves against the strongest competition in the country before the end of the 2026 season.
Will BMSD 2026 Be Played Offline?
Yes. The tournament will conclude with an offline LAN Grand Finals from October 16 to October 18.
However, KRAFTON India has not yet revealed the venue for the LAN Finals. More details, including ticket information and the host city, are expected to be announced closer to the event.
BMIC 2026 Will Follow BMSD
After the conclusion of BMSD, KRAFTON India will host the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026 from October 30 to November 1.
Unlike BMSD, BMIC is an international tournament featuring 16 teams—six from India, five from South Korea, and five from Japan. The tournament will be played at the Dome, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Indoor Stadium in Mumbai and will also feature a ₹1 crore prize pool.
BMIC will give Indian teams a chance to compete against some of Asia’s strongest BGMI teams on home soil, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year.
BMSD 2026 Marks the Start of a Busy H2 Season
With the announcement of BMSD 2026, KRAFTON India has kicked off an exciting second half of the BGMI esports season. The tournament will reward the country’s most consistent teams through an invite-only format, while the upcoming BMIC 2026 will add international competition to the calendar.
Together, the two events promise months of high-level BGMI action and will play an important role in shaping the competitive landscape of Indian esports before the season comes to an end.
