As we near the mid-season update for Marvel Rivals Season 2, dataminers have managed to dig up game files to uncover an upcoming playable character coming to the hero shooter in the near future.
As per recent leaks from prominent Marvel Rivals dataminers, the supervillain Hive might be one of the next few playable characters to be added to the ever-expanding roster of heroes in the NetEase title.
The news was first brought to light by popular leaker ‘RivalsAssembled’, who also revealed the potential role and abilities of the new hero.

Hive Marvel Rivals Leaks
Through an X (formerly Twitter) post on May 6th, ‘RivalsAssembled’ claimed that the hero design for Hive was found in the Marvel Rivals game files.
According to the leaker, Hive is expected to belong to the Vanguard role and will feature the following abilities:
- Deadly Parasite
- Painful Lashing
- Accelerated Transformation
The exact details of Hive’s abilities aren’t known at the time of writing.
Hive Marvel Rivals Release Date
NetEase has yet to announce the release of Hive in Marvel Rivals, which is why it’s tough to speculate when exactly this hero will be added to the game.
The earliest that fans can expect to see Hive being added to the hero pool of Marvel Rivals is with the Season 3 update, which is scheduled to hit the live servers around June 11, 2025.
Note that none of the leaks regarding Hive have been confirmed by the developers as of yet, so take this with a grain of salt.
