Gorr the God Butcher is the next hero to be added to Marvel Rivals, and his arrival is one of the most anticipated hero drops the game has seen. Between the teased Necrosword cosmetics, the mysterious removal of Loki from the game, and NetEase’s own hints throughout “The Mystery of Thebes,” it’s safe to say this reveal has been a long time coming.

Marvel Rivals Gorr Release Date and Time
Gorr will officially join the Marvel Rivals roster on September 11, 2026, as part of the Season 10 update. The update is scheduled to go live at 9:00 AM UTC that day, so players should be able to jump in and try him out as soon as the patch finishes rolling out and the maintenance concludes.
He’ll be the 54th playable hero added to the game, and his debut wraps up the mystery that Season 9 spent weeks building toward.
Marvel Rivals Gorr Abilities
NetEase hasn’t dropped a full, official ability breakdown of Gorr at the time of writing. However, we do have an idea about what he might bring to the table, thanks to the Season 10 reveal trailer and early Dev Vision previews.
Hit kit primarily seems to revolve around bringing in minions on the battlefield to attack his enemies. His minions can dish out significant amounts of damage, while Gorr himself can use his weapon to unleash chaos in teamfights.
His signature weapon, the All-Black Necrosword, reportedly shifts between two forms in combat: one geared toward melee slashing and another that lets him fire off projectiles, giving him some flexibility between point-blank fights and mid-range poke damage.
