Map 1: Overpass (Pick: RDX, Winner: Slow Aimers, Final Score: 28:25)

Despite winning the pistol round on the CT side of Overpass, Slow Aimers couldn’t convert the follow-up rounds as a force buy from RDX on the second round caught them off-guard. It wasn’t until the fifth round that Slow Aimers were able to put up their second point on the board. From there, the teams traded rounds back and forth till the half ended 8-7 in favor of Slow Aimers.

RDX looked much more comfortable on the CT side as they converted the pistol round with four players still standing. However, a force buy from Slow Aimers in the following round was enough to steal the momentum away from RDX as the score tied 8-8. Slow Aimers took the lead by winning the next three rounds without much hassle, but a win from RDX on the 20th round forced them into an eco. RDX tied up the score 11-11 before an impressive A-Site hold by ‘Logan’ gave them the lead in the 23rd round. RDX could extend their lead up to 13-11 before Slow Aimers regained their momentum with a knife kill by ‘MaYuReSh’. They could secure no more than 15 rounds before RDX retaliated and forced overtime on the first map.

RDX maintained their momentum in the overtime and extended their lead to 17-15, but a jaw-dropping 1v4 clutch from ‘MaYuReSh’ with an AWP stopped the team from getting to match point. Slow Aimers then proceeded to convert three out of the remaining four rounds to take the match into another overtime. The second overtime saw some great individual performances from the AWPers as the teams traded rounds back and forth to force a third overtime, which extended further into a fourth overtime as no team was willing to give up. The fifth overtime saw Slow Aimers finally take control as they closed out the game 28-25, marking it as the longest game in the tournament so far.

At the end of the game, Slow Aimers’ ‘SMOKE’ was sitting on the top of the leaderboard at a whopping 47 kills, while RDX’s ‘Logan’ trailed shortly behind at 46 kills.

Map 2: Ancient (Pick: Slow Aimers, Winner: RDX, Final Score: 19:17)

RDX kicked off Ancient with a win on the first pistol round on the CT side of the map, but force-buys prevailed once again as Slow Aimers stole the second round from them. RDX could convert the following two rounds but Slow Aimers swiftly equalized 3-3 following an insane 1v4 clutch from ‘5M0KE’ with an AK-47. The momentum from Slow Aimers continued till they put up eight rounds on the board, but RDX weren’t giving up so easily as they closed the half 7-8.

Slow Aimers had a great start to the CT side on Ancient, winning the first three rounds before RDX could put up a round win on their T-side. However, a series of well-executed plays from RDX quickly turned the tide in their favor, and not before long they were standing at match points while their rivals only had 12 rounds on the board. Slow Aimers then proceeded to take the last three rounds of the half to force overtime once again.

RDX found themselves having a head start in overtime as they secured the first three rounds without any hassle to make the score 18-15. While Slow Aimers put up a fight in the second half, it wasn’t enough to stop RDX from winning game 2 with a score of 19-17 in their favor.

Map 3: Inferno (Winner: RDX, Final Score: 16:9)

Inferno started with RDX decking up a quick 3-0 lead before Slow Aimers bounced back into the game with commanding 3 rounds thanks to the duo of 5m0ke and MaYuReSh xD who defied the Ts from breaking in their reinforcements. RDX quite put up a show with a straight 8-round win, annihilating every bombsite they broke into. The first half went in the favor of RDX with a scoreline of 11-4 before MaChOleleR and company tried to claw into the game by nearing out the score of 8-11.

But with no fuel in the tank, especially from the gruesome Overpass and Ancient picks, it was Slow Aimers who bled out in the hands of RDX who secured a comfortable series win, 2-1.
