Team Liquid Bids Farewell to Coach Daps

Team Liquid has been undergoing significant changes to its roster. The organization’s recent decisions reflect a strategic shift as they prepare for future challenges and competitions.

Damian “Daps” Steele, who joined Team Liquid as a coach in June 2022, played a crucial role in the team’s successes, especially following the acquisition of YEKINDAR. Daps’ tenure saw Liquid reach new heights, including a successful period that bolstered the North American squad’s performance.

However, the team’s fortunes began to decline as they transitioned to a European lineup led by YEKINDAR. This shift in dynamics led to a period of underperformance, culminating in Team Liquid deciding to part ways with Daps, initiating another phase of team rebuilding.

Team Liquid’s Ongoing Restructuring

The departure of Daps is part of a broader restructuring process within Team Liquid. The organization also parted ways with Robert “Patsi” Isyanov and moved Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov to the bench. Reports indicate potential signings, including Felipe “skullz” Medeiros, Casper “cadiaN” Møller, and Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, suggesting a significant overhaul of the roster.

Amidst these changes, only Keith “NAF” Markovic and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis are reportedly set to remain on the roster. This reshuffling indicates Team Liquid’s commitment to reinventing its strategy and dynamics to stay competitive in the CS2 landscape.

NAF’s Continued Journey with Team Liquid

In contrast to the departures, Keith “NAF” Markovic has extended his stay with Team Liquid until 2026. NAF has been a pivotal figure in Team Liquid since joining in 2018 from Renegades. His consistent performance has been instrumental in the team’s successes over the years, contributing to multiple tournament wins including the ESL Pro League Season 9, ESL One Cologne 2019, and the Intel Grand Slam Season 2.

NAF’s decision to continue with Team Liquid amid the restructuring phase is a significant vote of confidence in the organization’s future direction.

Team Liquid’s CS2 now looks like:

  • Latvia Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis
  • United States Josh “oSee” Ohm
  • Keith “NAF” Markovic
  • Bulgaria Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov (benched)

With the departure of Daps and the ongoing roster changes, the coaching responsibilities are expected to be taken over by Wilton “zews” Prado. Zews, a former coach for Liquid, is anticipated to make a return to the organization, although an official announcement is yet to be made.

As Team Liquid prepares for the upcoming CS2 season, the community eagerly awaits to see how these strategic changes will translate into performance in the competitive arena.

  • Goal Scorer: This requires scoring a minimum of 2 goals in 3 separate Squad Battles on the same difficulty levels.
  • Portuguese Flair: Players need to assist with 5 goals in Squad Battles with a Portuguese player, again on Semi-Pro, Rivals, or Champions difficulty.

It’s important to note that players have until February 3, 2024, to complete these objectives and claim the Diogo Jota FC Pro Live item.

The Upgraded Diogo Jota Card

Once obtained, the Diogo Jota card boasts an 86 rating, making it a valuable addition to any squad. Its attributes include 85 pace, 85 shooting, 86 dribbling, and 80 physical, offering a balanced and potent option in the forward position. There is also the potential for further upgrades, enhancing its appeal.

Upgrade Potential

The Diogo Jota FC Pro Live player item in EA FC 24 doesn’t follow the same upgrade path as previous promos. Instead of being paired with a professional EA FC 24 player for upgrades, this item has its unique upgrade trajectory. Currently, there is an indication that the item might reach an overall rating of 87 through a future objective, adding to its desirability among players.

Participating in the FC Pro Live event to obtain and upgrade the Diogo Jota card offers a unique and rewarding challenge in EA Sports FC 24. With its strong initial rating and potential for further enhancement, this player item is an attractive target for both beginners and seasoned Ultimate Team enthusiasts.

Eminem Coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Finale: Reports

0

Eminem, the legendary rapper, is poised to make a grand entrance in Fortnite’s Chapter 4 finale. This collaboration marks a significant moment in Fortnite’s history, as it brings one of the music industry’s most iconic figures into the virtual realm of this wildly popular game.

With a dedicated fanbase and a legacy of chart-topping hits, Eminem’s integration into Fortnite is set to elevate the game’s cultural impact and entertainment value.

Fortnite‘s Chapter 4 Season OG update has seen phenomenal success, with the game shattering its player count records. Astonishingly, Fortnite amassed over 44 million players in just one day, a testament to the game’s widespread appeal and the excitement generated by the update.

This season has been marked by several high-profile collaborations, including partnerships with Stranger Things and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton, further expanding Fortnite’s cultural footprint.

Eminem in Fortnite Chapter 4

Previously, Eminem had made his presence felt in Fortnite’s Chapter 3 Season 3 through the Eminem Icon Radio Takeover. However, this new development is on a different scale, with Eminem set to take a leading role in the Chapter 4 live event. This event is themed around music and will serve as the bridge to Chapter 5 of the game.

According to several reliable sources like HYPEX, FNBRintel, iFireMonkey, and ShiinaBR, Eminem’s involvement in the event is confirmed, with his playlist image discovered in the game. Fans can expect an array of Eminem-themed outfits and skin variants, including those of his alter egos, Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers.

One notable addition is the exclusive ‘Marshall Magma’ skin style, which will be available to players attending the live event.

Eminem’s Skin and Concert Speculation

Fortnite’s Icon Radio station playing exclusively Eminem’s music has fueled speculation about a potential concert event. This would follow in the footsteps of previous in-game concerts, such as the Ariana Grande Rift Tour, which drew massive crowds and created unforgettable experiences for players.

An Eminem concert in Fortnite would not only be a significant event for the game but also a potential opportunity for Eminem to connect with a new generation of fans. While some parents might have reservations due to the rapper’s controversial nature, Eminem’s recent compilation album, “Curtain Call 2,” features tracks that are considered more suitable for a Fortnite gig.

As of now, these developments are based on leaks and speculation, and official confirmation from Epic Games is still awaited. The timeline for Eminem’s arrival in Fortnite is not yet clear, but fans are eagerly awaiting more news.

This collaboration between Eminem and Fortnite is poised to create a unique fusion of gaming and music, blending virtual experiences with real-world entertainment in an unprecedented way.

IShowSpeed swatted during live stream in his new home

0

Notoriously famous for leaking private information, IShowSpeed has been on the receiving end of doxing after he got swatted in his new home while streaming.

Swatting has been a persistent issue with streamers who have their address leaked to the whole world. IShowSpeed is the latest victim of swatting, with a pack of police officers flooding his apartment when he was streaming. Speed being an unsuspecting victim was surprised to see it happen given the frustrating nature of the incident.

Having moved in recently in his 10 Million dollar home, the idea was to move out of his previous place where he had been swatted which ended up with him in handcuffs. After moving to his new home, this is the first time he got swatted and now that his address has been leaked, there is no stopping him from getting swatted moving forward.

“Omg, omg, omg. Bro, just for my safety in case anything happens. Ain’t no f**king way bro.”

“I just got swatted. I wish I knew whoever did that. That’s f***ed up. Don’t ever do that again in your life, bro. I could have really died. I had guns to my face. Don’t ever do that again.”

Swatting is done in the spirit of an elaborate prank but with serious consequences as it engages emergency services leaving the community vulnerable if a real mishap occurs, let alone causing hindrances in the lives of people or streamers in this particular case.

Tfue gave away $100K following blockbuster Kick streaming deal

0

Turner “Tfue” Tenney has made a blockbuster return to streaming following a deal with Kick after an extended hiatus from content creation.

Having made a name in the gaming community during his time streaming Fortnite when the game was at its peak. Once again as the Fortnite OG hype is taking over the streaming platforms, Tfue has come out of retirement and he once again finds himself in the spotlight as he records crazy numbers with his first stream on the platform.

One of his first acts after coming out of retirement was handing out $100,000 to strangers from the Indian Rocks Beach in Florida and livestreaming the whole event on Kick. Tfue set up a stall with a boatload of cash and three bodyguards to keep it safe.

“Giving away free money on the beach right now live on Kick,” Tfue tweeted.

“We put the scaffolding there just in case too many people show up for this awesome deal we have going on,” Tfue said in his stream. “Buy nothing, get free money.”

Suffice it to say several passersby took him up on his offer even though for obvious reasons people found it hard to believe. In whichever way the event may be painted, it is clear as day that this was a marketing scheme that was planned to get Tfue to hit the ground running when he starts streaming video games on Kick.

Regaltos Provides Update on Playing BMPS Season 2

0

Renowned Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports player and former player for 8bit, Parv “ReGaLToS” Singh, recently shared insights into his plans for the upcoming BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) Season 2. The player provided fans with a glimpse into his plans for the tournament, shedding light on the complexities of team choices.

Regaltos is Still Scouting a Team For BMPS Season 2

In a recent livestream, Regaltos addressed the speculation surrounding his team selection. Contrary to expectations, he clarified that he will not be joining WSB Gaming. Intriguingly, he hinted at undisclosed reasons behind this decision.

Regaltos revealed that he was pleasantly surprised by the number of team invitations he received. “I did not think I would get invited by so many teams. A lot of teams invited me,” he added. However, the challenge lay in finding a team with available slots. “I don’t think any team will give slots in the last few days,” he added.

Regaltos acknowledged that many teams had reached their maximum roster capacity, making it difficult for him to secure a spot. “But still there were a few teams that told me to wait till the qualifiers, and join the playing-four in the semi-finals. It is obviously because they have a synergy in their team,” he added.

However, Regaltos revealed that he did not want to join the team to directly play in the semi-finals. Instead, he expressed his desire to be part of the entire journey, from the initial stages to the final stage of the tournament. Closing his update with optimism, Regaltos expressed his hope of finding a team that aligns with his goals and aspirations for the tournament.

As Regaltos navigates through the complexities of team selection, he emphasized the importance of finding the right fit. Despite the time constraints and the pressure of looming qualifiers, the player remains undeterred. It will be interesting to see which team Regaltos joins for BMPS Season 2.

Astralis Unveils ‘Behind the Stars’ Documentary

0

The popular Counter-Strike team Astralis has released 4 episodes of their Behind the Stars documentary. In Behind The Stars, viewers are invited into the inner workings of this renowned Danish Counter-Strike team.

The documentary, described as an “unfiltered story,” chronicles Astralis’ intense tournament season in the first half of 2023, showcasing the highs and lows of professional gaming. This gripping narrative begins with a pivotal meeting on January 2, where players and staff lay out their aspirations for the year ahead.

Behind the Stars Documentary by Astralis

The documentary unflinchingly portrays the team’s struggles. Early in the year, Astralis faced a significant setback, failing to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris CSGO Major—a key goal for 2023. This was a result of a disappointing 1-3 record in the European RMR.

The pressure was palpable, with players like Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth candidly discussing the looming threat of being removed from the team.

https://youtu.be/qmuMW3UMNUg

Astralis didn’t shy away from making bold moves. In April, they promoted academy player Alexander “Altekz” Givskov, replacing Xyp9x. This was part of a larger strategy to rejuvenate the team’s lineup and approach. Benjamin “blameF” Bremer, the in-game leader, voiced a critical perspective, highlighting the stagnation in the team’s tactics despite numerous roster changes.

The Future Unfolds

“Behind The Stars” is a dynamic look at a team in transition, determined to redefine itself. As blameF notes, the team had not improved “in the slightest” over two years, underlining the need for a new direction. The documentary, available on Astralis’ YouTube channel, is just the beginning of their story, with more episodes anticipated in the future.
