Shekar, resides in Bangalore and has been an active community guy in this emerging industry. The name echoed, even more, when heย took the charge of managing Social Media at Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce store.

F.C. Copenhagen looking for a CSGO roster

1

Another breaking from the Danish land, the famous football club Copenhagen is apparently looking to sign a CSGO team. The news came in just after the Danish roster Dignitas chose to part ways with the team.

It may as well be irrelevant but the speculations are hinting towards the possibility that F.C. Copenhagen could sign up with the ex-dignitas roster who are also qualified for the ELEAGUE Major, scheduled in January next year.

“We are following the course of developments in esports as other major football clubs are; It is an exciting area, one F.C. Copenhagen want to be part of in the future. But if and when that happens, only time will tell,” saidย Parken Sport og Entertainment A/S directorย Anders Hรธrsholt.

Football club entering into eSports isn’t a first-hand experience as we have already witnessed major clubs interestingly exploring in this emerging industry. As of today, there has been reportedly four major clubs venturing into Esports.

  • Manchester City
  • Valencia C.F.
  • Bayern Munich

The initial reports of the investment which the management is pouring into can be roughly amounting to anything between 100,000 USD to a million.

Dignitas release their major-qualified CSGO team

0

In a rather repulsive turn of events, Dignitas the rising Danish roster has been distanced from their organization. The reason remains unclosed. MSL led Dignitas recently got qualified for the ELEAGUE Major through the minor qualifiers.

The organization also announced that they were planning to acquire a North-American based International lineup instead of sticking with their current team. The Danish team has been qualified to the major where they will be playing with a yet unknown title. Valve’s policy to qualify players instead of the organization will allow the team to participate in the majors with their current roster without any complications.

Dignitas had:

  • MSL,
  • k0nfig,
  • Magiskb0y,
  • cajunB, and
  • RUBINO

The team recently rose up to their ranks by securing top results at several events this year including DreamHack Bucharest, StarSeries S2 finals, and EPICENTER.

Their current association with anyone has not yet been discovered, but the organization has made it sure that they will be picking up an NA team very soon. Interesting to watch will be their decision as neither of the NA teams is open to shuffles until majors.

Sony plans to enter into Esports

0

Looks like Sony is going to finally start taking eSports seriously.ย PlayStation announced a partnership with ESL to launch PlayStation Tournaments which is essentially their eSports platform.

While the Press was fairly minimal there were some interesting details mentioned:

NBA2K7 has never been a big draw on both the viewership or event side โ€“ but that will probably change once Marketing and Money come in.ย But why NBA2K7?

More than likely to coincide with the start of the 2017 NBA Season. Now thatโ€™s a smart Marketing move and will get some extra free Press. The initial NBA2K7 PlayStation Tournaments will only future single player games but Sony hinted that multiplayer support will be coming soon.

The big question around the tournament will be the standard 1-on-1 mode and the games will not be held in the MyPark or 2K Pro-Am modes. Considering the ever increasing prize pools across the eSports landscape – $4M for Call of Duty World League alone – the top 3 players of every major tournament will win “a DualShock 4 controller and other PlayStationโ€ gear.

Risky Gaming procure victory at ESL Masters 2016

Risky Gaming, the guest invite from UAE have successfully grabbed the title of ESL India Masters 2016. They go home with Rs. 5,00,000 INR / $ 7400 USD and a handsome trophy. Risky Gaming beat Invisible Wings 2-0 (16-9 dust2, 16-6) in the best of three grand finals affair.

Invisible Wings’s pick Dust2 was the first map of the series. Risky Gaming started on the favored t side, and after winning the first three rounds, they continued their dominance and closed off the first half quite comfortably at 13-2.

Three more rounds were won by Invisible Wings making the score 13-5. A several more rounds here and there resulted for the home-team, but eventually, they departed d2 with 9-16.

The enthusiastic crowd over at the juncture.

The second map, de_train started with Risky Gaming playing on the CT side. Similarly, after winning the first three rounds, they lost the first gun round with Psy’s heroics – yet again -. Breaker didn’t stop walloping IW as he kept on securing the inner bombsite on his own with another three kills, the scores looked 5-1 at the end of six rounds. The story continued even further for a couple of more rounds making it 8-1.

Psy’s another triple made the scores 9-2, and another round of RiTz standard play halted the score at 12-3. The second pistol round was, however, possessed by Invisible Wings with the like’s of a stellar performance by RiTz, and a couple of more anti-eco’s made the scores a little lessย uncomfortable to the eyes at 12-5. The first gun round of the second game was yet again a disappointing show of lack of skills on the Indian side as Risky Gaming’s t0ks destroyed the ct’s guarding the outer bombsite. Risky Gaming’s supremacy further engraved their aspiration to win as they took the scoreboard to 14-5.

Osman’s attempt, though, to clutch the round 1v3 and to plant the c4 at the outer bombsite was miserably abandoned as he failed to plant the c4 on time. That misplay from Osman served as an incentive to Invisible Wings as the score furthered at 14-6. Ritz’s inability to defend the inner bombsite allowed Risky Gaming to quickly mantle the match point with nine rounds lead to 15-6.

Invisible Wings surrendered their dreams at 16-6.

Looking at Risky Gaming’s journey at the ESL India Masters. They came all the way from the loser brackets to eliminate Dare2Dream, Overcome, and finally Invisible Wings from the tournament and conquer the championship. They entitled themselves as the Masters of ESL India Premiership, which is slightly disappointing and indeed ironical.

Breaker from Risky Gaming was named the best IGL of the tournament by the analyst Prashant ‘Aequitas’ Prabhakar. ย The award for the MVP of the tournament wasย convincingly handed over to GreeNz from Risky Gaming. Antidote was named Rookie Player of the year.

Vinay Shetty from ASUS handed over the awards to the runners-up and the champions.

  • Risky Gaming – Rs. 5,00,000 INR
  • Invisible Wings – Rs. 1,50,000 INR
  • Dare2Dream

Today’s display of the show proves once again that Counter Strike is exceedingly and immensely a game of team play and coordination. Invisible Wing’s Psy did all he could to keep the ball running, and it wasn’t just good enough against the tacklers from UAE. Risky Gaming’s sheer dominance and their display of sync leave severalย lessons for the Indian players toย absorb. We do have the sufficient talent to make ourselves up and fight among the SEA level.ย We lack conviction. All that needs to be done is trust our conscience and continue hardworking.

We wish Risky Gaming all the very best for their future endeavors and wholeheartedly congratulate them on winning this title. Their addition to the list of the participants inevitably rose the level of our competition and the liberty in the community.

Risky Gaming will face Invisible Wings at ESL India Masters 2016 grand finals

Risky Gaming has successfully leveraged upon the double elimination format; will face Invisible Wings at the grand finals of Masters 2016. Risky Gaming defeated Dare2Dream 2-0 (de_cbbl 16-4, 16-9) in the best of three elimination match.

The first map of the series, Cobblestone was rather a shock for the Indian side as it seemed as if they got caught off-guard by the Dubai army. Although winning the first three rounds at the start being on the less favored side, D2d were getting picked one after another.

After winning eight straight rounds in a row, Risky Gaming wereย prevented by a round with Excali’s supreme play. And that was it for the D2d side for the entire map. They only were able to win a single gun round. The map ended with Risky Gaming winning another eight rounds in a row. Cobblestone was a depressing start to the best of three elimination series for D2d, 16-4 was the final score.

The second map of the series, Mirage began with a messy strategy of D2d which made them dropping the c4 way behind the desired bombsite. Breaker in the meantime was able to spot the c4, which resulted in Risky grabbing the first pistol round. After losing two more eco rounds, D2d managed to get off the mark by winning the first gun round which rose their drowning hope. Besides, it wasn’t enough as Risky Gaming got another quad, marking the scores at 8-1.

Antidote’s opening on the B bombsite and Excali’s amazingly well clutchedย an almost impossible round got D2d back in the game. The map’s first half ended way far than worse as D2d managed to get six rounds on board. 9-6 was the score at the end of the first half.

The second half of the game looked slopy from D2d; they failed to get even a single round whereas D2d took their lead ahead to 12-6.

It was GreeNz all over again, 51 kills in two maps

The nineteenth round, the largest gun round of the map was comfortably enoughย towed by Risky Gaming in their favor, forcing D2d to settle at the close round, once again. The score further looked amicable at 14-6, after they lost the economic round. HellRanger’s 3K kept the dreamsย at 15-7.

Antidote’s heroic 4K AWP single-handedly shut Risky Gaming and extended their breathing space with another round. Another round on the board was secured by D2d as they successfully re-took the B bombsite by the likes of Excali and Kav1sh.

Dreams shattered as Risky Gaming closed the matchup by finishing the game in style. Breaker sliced HellRanger to finish things off at 16-9. Dare2Dream, in the end, were only able to win 13 rounds in total in both the maps combined.

Risky Gaming will face Invisible Gaming tomorrow at the grand finals of ESL Masters 2016.

InvisibleWings makes it to the finals of ESL Masters 2016

ESL Masters 2016 commenced it’s third day of the juncture. The first game of the day, winner bracket finals between InvisibleWings and Dare2Dream was won by Invisible Wings 2-1. Invisible Wings now advances to the grand finals of ESL Masters 2016; will face the winner of loser bracket finals between Risky Gaming and Dare 2 Dream.

The first map of the series, Dust2 started with Invisible Wings on the favored side of the map, they continued the dominance until 9-2. Antidote was the first to turn the tables by getting a quad kill on an eco round against riflers. The scores went on to 3-9 but Excali yet again grabbed a quick 3K and made the scoreline look less absurd 4-9.

HellRanger’s 3K stoned the scores for the first half of 9-6 in favor of Invisible Wings. D2D were quick to respond by clinching the pistol around and a following anti-eco but only to get decimated by Ritz single handedly on two multiple occasions. RiTz stole the show by taking six important frags consecutively in two rounds, making the scoreboard 11-9.

Hope’s were still alive but not for long as Psy’s determination came into play; he clutched an amazingly impossible 1v3 against the strongest members of D2d, in a post-plan scenario which strengthened the scoreline to a 14-9 strong lead. Antidote’s 2K quick entry at a-long couldn’t do much as they fell short of 4 rounds finally with scores 16-12.

The second map, Mirage was possessed by D2d in the very begining of the map. They were quick to grab the regular triple rounds after winning the pistols. Kappa, however, came to the rescue with 3K which ticked the scoreboard for IW 3-1. Followed by Manan’s 3K, the scores tied at 3-3. And from thereonwards, D2d looked confident enough to have settled the scores at 10-5 strong lead on the less favored T side.

Even though losing the second pistol and a couple of more, D2d’s establishement to win the map further apprehended the scoreline to 15-9 with 6 secured matchpoints, which, was unused for as the game ended 16-9.

The third and the final map of the series, Train, is practically looked at IW’s best map. Although it was chosen by D2d’s IGL, HellRanger, the map favors Invisible Wingsย and they’re known to be the champions of Train and its cheeky corners.

Invisible Wings landed on the slightly less-favored T side of the map, nevertheless, won the pistols and the following rounds. Kav1sh’s dynamic playย got D2d their first round. The scores went on to look like an even game when the matchticker showed a 6-4 lead towards InvisibleWings. Stepping into flames to get a 3K was Excali, who diminished the lead by a round. The scores finally halted at 9-6 favoring IW.

No doubt about the apprehensive approach D2d were going through when IW picked up their level and won a couple consecutive rounds to make the scoreline strong at 15-10. Invisible Wings started to feel the heat when HellRanger picked up a triple and clutched 1v2 in the following round which forced them to an eco with scores 15-12. Another two of those rounds in momentum made the scores 15-14 and the posibility to introduce overtime in this mega affair.

Similarly of what we witnessed yesterday when PeXxer pulled off a massive triple kills in an important round, Psy somewhat replicated the heroics and impractically got a tripple kill from over upon a train with an UMP against riflers in the final-most important round and their map and match point. Yes, that’s how complicated it was!

The game ended in favor of Invisible Wings quite convincingly to say the least. Although Dare2Dream were only short of a single round in the series with scorelines 40-41.

Dare2Dream will face Risky Gaming very shortly in a best of three decider match which will determine the second finalist of ESL Masters 2016.

Risky Gaming survives the strike at Masters, sends D5 packing

The third day of ESL Masters 2016 had littleย but enough to decide a team’s fate. Risky Gaming, the UAE powerhouse played the survival matchย against Mumbai’s Destructive5. Risky Gaming where, defeated D5 twice (16-6 dust2, 22-18 de_train)ย and advanced further to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The first map of the series, D2 was a blunder for the Indian side as they were thoroughly outplayed by the Dubai warriors. The first of the game ended 11-4 with Risky dominating on the terrorist side aspect of the map. Although allowing d5 getting two points more on the board in the second half, Risky Gaming absolutely denied any hope. The first map ended 16-6 for theย Emiratis. GReeNz, the demolitionist proven to be the difference maker with over 1.5 KDR. Advancing into the second map Train, which is considered to be Risky’s one of the best one, the thrust apparently favored them.

GreeNz shredded opponents with KD over 1.5 in D2

And continuing their stature from the first game, Risky progressed further withย the necessary ammunition to derail the Indian side. The map started with Risky taking charge of the match and leading the scoreboard until the first half. The scores were 8-7 challenging d5. The second half of the game commenced with the pistol round favoring the Indian lineup as they were able to trade frags for frags and winning the second pistol round to even the scores up at 8-8. Things looked sloppy from thereon as Risky Gaming extensively trailed D5 with six round lead.

D5’s Pexxer played it pretty well, although lost the first game 16-6.

Things were not looking well enough for Destructive5 as Risky Gaming had four map – and match – points to deal with. But the heroic plays impressed the crowd and shocked the opponents when D5 apprehended comeback. The team tore the lead apart and forced the game to overtime after resting the scores at 15-15.

Much of this was evident that the Indian side did have some of those up to their sleeves. The first round of the first overtime was captured by Risky Gaming but quickly traded even by D5 making it 16-16. HuntR was able to get triple frags in the third round of overtime which made the scoreline favorable strong for D5. But a 1v2 clutch by Karribob, in the end, tied the score once more at 17-17.

Risky Gaming strengthened their lead and won the following round making the score 18-17 and destroying the D5’s economy, confirming their win at 19-17. Props to the observer for sensing PeXxer’s play as he had different plans, with only a $500 pistol he decimated three of Risky’s and forced the game yet again to a second Overtime 19-19.

Rashed ‘GreeNz’ Alnuami dropped a 50-bomb. Totaling 74 kills in two maps.

The second overtime had different and predictable results; Risky Gaming were finally serious and determined to finish the game and not to take the load further the third map. Rashed ‘GreeNz’ Alnuaimi though, on 46 kills sneaking and lurking into open and getting opening kills for his team. The new addition had enough of those headshots toย thwart the aspirations of D5.

GreeNz dominance continued all throughout Train; hits 1.92 KDR in 40 rounds

Risky Gamingย eventually wrapped up the exhaustive affair by winning four consecutive rounds in the second overtime, improvising from the first one. The map ended 22-18. And the series concluded 2-0 (16-6 dust2, 22-18 de_train).

Undoubtedly, the man of the day was GreeNz who not only played out of his minds and titled a 50-bomb for himself; but also displayed the variety of skills of the game known to him. From being an assaulter to rifler and lurker, GreeNz presented his supremacy in front of the crowd and of course D5.

Risky Gaming faces the loser of the winner bracket finals between Invisible Wings and Dare 2 Dream tomorrow. If you are in Delhi or nearby, make sure you don’t miss this exceptional experience. Watch out the space for some classic Counter Strike!
