The 2nd Major of this year has some good hype to see their favourite teams play some quality CS. And the twitch community is giving their share by tuning in with their fans to share this huge a moment.

The tournament organizers themselves have it written in their StarLadder Major 2019 Official Rulebook and Regulations that they have all broadcasting rights including โ€œvideo streams (e.g. PoV streams), radio streams, GOTV, replays, demos or TV broadcasts.โ€

In fact, The IEM Katowice had the same kind of Stipulation but they didn’t much enforce it on a huge community.

In StarLadderโ€™s case, theyโ€™ve been handing crucial DMCAs to channels that Twitch has no choice but to oblige by. Although some streamers are saying that these harsh strikes to their channels came with no notice.

WoW Classic becomes the most watched game on Twitch in less than an hour after its launch

0

The launch of World of Warcraft Classic was one of the most anticipated and hyped launch of any MMO game in 2019. The excitement around it was through the roof and many were waiting on Twitch to watch their favourite streamers play the game.

Just within an hour after its official launch, the viewership of the game on Twitch skyrocketed to more than 1 million viewers. This sudden rise of viewers boosted the game to #1 spot on Twitch. Even at the time of writing this article the game is sitting on #1 spot with almost 500k viewers.

Many veteran WoW streamers were also surprised by the numbers. One such streamer- Asmongold was sitting at his all-time highest number of 300k viewers and other streamers were also averaging 50k viewers.

With the game being โ€œmost-watched gameโ€ on Twitch right now, other streamers have also joined the hype train and are streaming the game. Shroud is also part of this hype train and currently, he is streaming the game on his channel.

But thatโ€™s not all, the game also saw a sharp rise in player logins. Many players reported about long login queues. Blizzard also confirmed reports of โ€œvery high demandโ€ and in response, they added several more Realms (worlds) to handle the ongoing queues.

In total Blizzard had to open up an additional 8 Realms which makes the total number of launch available Realms to 29. Out of these, the majority are PvP type Realms.

Blizzard couldnโ€™t have wished for any better launch time than this. Currently, all other games are struggling with updates and are losing viewership numbers. Previous #1 game on Twitch- Fortnite is having struggles with its latest Season 10 update which wasnโ€™t well-received by players and due to which many streamers are having the struggle to pull the numbers and enjoy the game.

Only time will tell if WoW Classic will be able to retain this momentum and stay at the top. The excitement might go down a bit and the numbers will settle to give a clear picture. But nonetheless, the game is enticing and nostalgic at the same time for most of its players which should be enough to keep them entertained and ready for future content updates.

DreamEaters advance to the StarLadder Berlin Major New Legends Stage

DreamEaters: A CIS based Russian squad advanced to the Starladder Berlin Majors,
They managed to win 2-0 against ForZe in the elimination match.

ForZe were the pure favourites here, but the underdogs DreamEaters made it to the Challenger Series.

They had to go through the CIS Closed Minor Qualifiers, they never had it easy for them. They barely made it to the Russian Qualifiers on the last spot.

Vladislav โ€œKradโ€ Kravchenko the MVP so far he’s got some crazy talent to showcase on stage.

CIS teams have gained very little popularity so far, they often have to play Qualifiers online with more than 100 ping against European Teams which is always a bit of a disadvantage.

Krad couldn’t believe any of it was real and couldn’t stop his tears during the post-match interview, where he talked about where they came from and how difficult it was to get where they’re right now! They totally deserved this spot, they’ve fought all the good opponents so far and yet getting 3-2 (They lost against G2 and CR4ZY) (Won against NRG and VITALITY)

They’ll have to repeat their past performances and stay strong to get into the Playoffs, it’d be a pleasure to see them on stage.

Fnatic plans on forming a younger CSGO Roster

A new phase for fnatic starts off as they miss their chance to get into the Berlin Majors.

This is the first CSGO Major Fnatic will miss as an organization. Fnatic has been in the eye since the first season due to their sudden downfall with the current lineup.

Card

Recently Andreas Samuelsson, team director at Fnatic, and star player Jesper “JW” Wecksell took part in the AMA on Reddit where they mentioned about forming an “All Swedish CSGO Team” with a new InGame Leader.

They also announced that “Xizt” and “Twist” have been benched, allowing Younger player for a chance to stand-up to rise fnatic again!

Samuelsson also shred some light on the insides of the fnatic as well where he said “There’s nothing wrong with the team nor the players they had great chemistry, the only factor was the consistency as a team in the past one year they only managed to get into the Finals of 2 ‘Tier 1’ events.”

So soon we’ll get to see an all-new lineup of fnatic and hopefully, they’ll be back with a blast into the next majors!

TI9 champions OG won more money than top Wimbledon players

While we all know how much Esports has grown in the past 2 years, an esports player winning as much or even more than top Sportsmen was unprecedented. Until now.

The International 9, DOTAโ€™s biggest annual event, saw a prize pool of over 30 million dollars. With OG winning the tournament and getting a sweet $15.6 million, it meant that even if the prize money was distributed equally among the players, each member would receive a whopping $3.1 million in their kitty.

If we compare that to traditional sports, it makes this number even more astounding. The winners of this yearsโ€™ Wimbledon Championship, Simona Halep and Novak Djokovic, received $2.7 million while Tiger Woods was awarded $2.09 Million for his performance at the masters. This, despite the fact that the two sports are more popular than traditional sport.

This achievement, however, has to be taken with a pinch of salt. While this event happens only once a year, Wimbledon and the masters are just one of many huge events that offer similar prize money. Another difference is that the majority of earnings of traditional sports players is via sponsorships and brand deals, while esport players rely a lot on prize money.

Nevertheless, this is a step in the right direction for esports fans and professionals and this trend only seems to be getting more frequent.

Ninjaboogie, Raging Potato & Nikobaby part ways from Mineski

It seems like the roster shuffle season has started already a day after The International 9 ended. Roster shuffles normally happen after The International ends nothing out of the blue here. Organizations and players decide where to stick with the current roster or actively start looking for other options.

Mineski, a team that fought their battle for the TI dream right from the open qualifiers to the main event and putting up a good fight against some of the greatest teams in the Dota 2 universe. Itโ€™s no doubt that Mineski has surpassed all the expectations.
Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr., Ryan โ€œRaging Potatoโ€ Jay Qui and Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov have all posted on their social media pages stating that theyโ€™re looking for a team

After these three professional players announced on Twitter that theyโ€™re actively looking for teams it indicated that they are no longer a part of Mineski. Meanwhile, Kam “Moon” Boon Seng and Damien “kpii” Chok have not announced anything yet, they might stay. However, these two players can speak Mandarin now Mineski can sign five Mandarin-speaking players. SEA organization with a Chinese lineup can be possible.

DotA 2: OG tops the charts of highest earning esports players after consecutive Major wins

Proficient Dota 2 squad OG, in a split second turned into the most astounding earnings esports players on the planet with a second International triumph at TI9, bringing home over $15 million for their triumph.

The International is Dota 2’s greatest and most esteemed competition of the year, one which has a little base prize pool set by developer Valve that is then added to with crowdfunding from the game’s energetic fanbase.

The International 2019 outperformed the Fortnite World Cup to have the most astounding prize handbag in esports history when it was reported the competition would have over $33 million in prizes when it started in Shanghai not long ago.

While the opportunity to end up moment tycoons was constantly an extraordinary selling point, notwithstanding, numerous Dota 2 fans likewise trusted TI9 to be the competition that had the most obvious opportunity in the game’s history of delegated a recurrent International champ.
