Antidote leaves Team Mahi

Renowned Indian Valorant pro Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose has announced stepping down from the Team Mahi Valorant Roster, a news that has certainly caught thousands of South Asian Valorant fans off-guard.

The 23-year-old revealed the news during TM Sentinel’s YouTube live stream on 15th May.

Needless to say, Antidote was one of the key reasons behind Team Mahi’s success over the past year. His departure is certain to leave the organization with a significant void.

In case you missed it, following the sudden departure of Karan “Excali” Mhaswadkar last month, Team Mahi signed Agneya “Marzil” Koushik to their roster.

Antidote said,

I have no problem with any of my teammates or other members of the squad. I would like to thank all the team members and the fans for all their love and support. I am just stepping down from the organization as I want to play some other roles in the future what I can’t play being in this team as there are already some other experienced players who can do the job for the team.

Luckily, it seems like fans of Antidote won’t need to wait long to see him back in action again.

He assured fans, “I will be back to the competitive soon and I will look forward for some other options for my future as well.”

Twitch is removing “hot tub” comments from the Official Channel chat

Users are unable to type the “hot tub” phrase in the chat of the platform’s official Twitch channel according to reports. The messages are getting removed by moderators as suspected by many.

Anyone who has visited Twitch in the last few months is aware of the “Hot Tub” streams. Such streams are all over Twitch, it is classified as a group of streamers who sit around pools/tubs with swimsuits housed inside the “Just Chatting” category of the platform. Users consider this to a “suggestive content” and do not go in line with Twitch’s culture of video game streaming. The viewership of these streamers has skyrocketed in recent times, thus earning the title of “Twitch meta”.

Though Twitch has certain guidelines in place to prevent oversexualizing their content however there are certain ways it can be exploited. The grey area in their ToS allows such streamers to continue on their platform which has somewhat generated mixed feelings among the veterans.

Reddit user who goes by the handle JitterOS noted that they were unable to post the phrase ‘hot tub streamers’ on Twitch’s main channel during their May 14 Public Access broadcast. The post contained a screenshot where his comments were followed by the message: ‘Your message wasn’t posted due to conflicts with the channel’s moderation settings.’. This implies that Twitch’s moderation settings are preventing such messages.

As of now, similar messages are not getting returned by the mods at various channels which indicates this to be a mere error or a faulty moderation setting. In any case, Twitch wouldn’t want to let the users know if they are taking steps against “Hot Tub” streamers and if this marks the beginning of that.

The biggest independent YouTuber Felix Kjellberg has revealed the reason behind taking down the massively popular “My New Car” video in 2016 that mocks celebrities who flex their new cars on YouTube.

Showing off expensive cars on YouTube was a trend back in 2016 and who better than PewDiePie to troll the rich kids on the block. In the video, Felix can be seen showing off his Nissan Micra like it’s an expensive sports car and hilariously imitating the way most YouTubers speak while showing their cars. Micra has “middle-class” written all over it and acts as an ironic element in the video, being in direct contrast with expensive cars.

The video was well-received by the community but it couldn’t make its way to the platform for long. Unlike its predecessor, the video ran into some trouble with the sponsors and it had to be taken down.

Why the video was taken down?

The sponsors for the video provided the car for promotional purposes but failed to inform the specifics. Despite repeated inquiries, the company assured Kjellberg and his team that the car ran on petrol but it was far from the truth. Once they filled it up with petrol the engine went in flames, hence an obvious implication. Following the incident, things went south with the sponsors and the video had to be taken down.

When going through a series of funny TikToks on May 14th, PewDiePie came across a video where a car was getting reminding its owner to use Diesel instead of Petrol and it brought back some bittersweet memories from 2016.

Funny how things circle back in life. For those who are really curious about his car, PewDiePie owns a Porsche 911 according to reports, though it’s an expensive car, it is far from a Lamborghini or a Ferrari.

CSGO Player Finds 39 Unreleased Weapon Skins in Game Files

It hasn’t been long since the new ‘Snakebite’ case has hit the live servers of CSGO, and it seems like we may already have an idea of what the upcoming skins collection will be.

The recent Snakebite case brought with it some amazing skins for various weapons alongside some new finishes on glove skins. Currently priced at around $4 USD on the Steam market, the Snakebite case has received a lot of positive feedback from the community for the skins included in it.

While CSGO fans were busy appreciating the skins included in the Snakebite case, a Twitter user with the username ‘A R E Z’ looked into some game files and managed to dig up 39 unreleased weapons skins that can potentially be included in a future case. The user shared his findings through a Tweet recently.

The skins found by ‘AREZ’ hidden in the game files include a total of 16 weapon skins alongside 23 glove skins.

Leslie Fu aka Fuslie is the latest content creator join get aboard on the 100 Thieves content creation team that houses the likes of Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter and Kyedae “Kyedae” Shymko. The 28-year-old American streamer has over 935,000 followers on Twitch with a combined video views of whooping 37 million.

Fuslie has developed into one of Twitch’s most popular content creators, explains why 100 Thieves wanted to have her. She often plays Valorant and occasionally Among Us, given her interests in variety streaming.

100 Thievians had mixed reactions to Fusile’s addition. While some were happy, others were surprised to learn it after she joined. Co-owner and top content creator Valkyrae was the first to welcome her to the organization; “I couldn’t be happier for you,” she said.

“Leslie started streaming back in 2015 and is now one of the biggest female creators on Twitch. She’s one of the most genuine and charismatic people in the scene,” stated 100 Thieves in a tweet.

“I am so surprised, I totally did not know this whole time,” said a surprised Neekolul, another content creator at 100 Thieves.

Given how the organization went through the effort to shoot a comic video to welcome her, speaks about how much the organization values their content creators. In the said video, Leslie can be found solving a murder mystery which is a must-watch for all her fans out there.

Pokimane hot tub stream breaks record

Pokimane’s hot tub stream broke Twitter following the announcement and generated mixed reactions from the community.

The Moroccan-Canadian streamer planned to hop into the hot tub bandwagon for her birthday and it was successful to say the least. Pokimane has developed a reputation of staying far from suggestive content so the announcement raised a few questions but all of it has been answered as of now.

The hot tub meta was well tackled by Anys and her friends. They made sure everyone remains fully clothed and were cautious enough to not encounter any wardrobe malfunction. The group engaged is several activities filled with giggles and laughter including an inevitable cake cutting session for the birthday girl.

The stream racked up over 100,000 concurrent viewers which is crazy even for Pokimane’s extremely high standard. OfflineTV crew members hanging out in pool might just be enough to make the stream of the year.

Several highlights were noted in the entirety of the stream including rapper DaBaby showing up to wish Pokimane followed by Disguised Toast volunteering to get their arms tattooed by group. However, the entire chat went berserk when they paid homage to Gamer Girl. The infamous gamer girl who tired selling the water she bathed in was replicated by Scarra.

“Oh, look at that. It’s some quality OTV hot tub water,” Scarra said when handing a jar filled with the same hot tub water they bathed in. Though they clarified they are not going to sell it but the thought crossed everyone’s mind.

With this OTV sets a new standard for Hot Tub streams, proving it that Hot Tub stream should not necessarily be filled with suggestive content but beneficiaries can’t undermine its true prowess which explains the whole thing be labelled as a “meta”.

Massive Ancient Changes, Trusted Mode Fix and More in New CSGO Update

A new update has been shipped to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive today, and it brings with it some significant changes to the competitive shooter.

For starters, Ancient has received a plethora of new changes, including many bug fixes and several other tweaks across the map. Considering the fact that Ancient was added to the Active Duty map pool quite suddenly without any prior info, changes to the map could be expected by the player base.

While the changes to Ancient might be the prime attraction of this update, some other changes also shouldn’t go unnoticed. The maps Grind and Frostbite also received their fair share of tweaks. Finally, an issue that has been annoying CSGO players and content creators for quite a while now has been fixed.

Previously, many players would receive the Trusted mode warning repeatedly when trying to queue in Untrusted mode. This patch has removed the multiple warnings and players will receive only a single warning message moving forward.

Here’s what’s new in this CSGO update, as stated in the official blog post by Valve:

Rachell Hofstetter aka Valkyrae may look perfect on the surface but during an off-script interaction session with her fans, she revealed the idea of taking her own life crossed her mind back when things were far from how they are now.

YouTube may not have overtaken Twitch in the streaming department but the gap is closing every day, Rae is one of those personalities who has helped YouTube Gaming reach where they are today. Being one of the biggest streamers on the platform, she has dubbed the ‘Queen of the YouTube’. Rightfully so, last year’s success landed helped her overtake Pokimane as the most viewed female YouTuber and eventually earning a spot at the table as the co-owner of 100 Thieves.

Before turning into a celebrity, Hofstetter had her fair share of troubles. Her life now is far from the time that she thought of harming herself.

“I’m telling you guys alright, things get better with time, with consistency, with effort, and with perspective, okay? That is how I get through life. It really helps to grow and getting past obstacles. Like there was a time in my life where I remember sitting in my room. I had a razor. I was holding it and I remember just looking at it and holding it. I was heavily considering actually causing harm, you know? Like looking back, I can’t believe how different my life has changed from back then. That was like ten years ago and now I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.” she said.

Setting an example for everyone, Rae showed everyone that how unpredictable life can be. Unpleasant moments are common to all but staying strong through it is all that matters, and her life speaks for it. Fans appreciated her share moments for her past that they can relate to thus further developing the bond between them.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is only a few steps away before fully launching in India and the developers took yet another big step by announcing the start of the pre-registration process earlier today. The pre-registrations for Battlegrounds Mobile India will begin from 18th May 2021 and the game is expected to arrive within few weeks but a small mishap or technical error showcased the download button for few minutes on their official website.

Krafton announced Battlegrounds Mobile India as a completely new title and as a result, its social media presence was set up as well.

A new website was hosted for Battlegrounds Mobile India and it is used to convey the latest information regarding this new game. Apparently, a download prompt popped up on this website for some time and it redirected the users to the Battlegrounds Mobile India page on Google Play Store.

The website included a “GET IT ON GOOGLE PLAY” prompt which redirected users to Google Play Store.

The ‘Download’ or ‘Pre-register’ button was not present on the page yet but the listing was clear. This listing shows Krafton as the developer of Battlegrounds Mobile India with the game rated for a 16+ audience.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is a few days away these things can be preparations by Krafton before a full-scale launch of the game. The player base is eagerly awaiting the return of PUBG Mobile in India and pre-registrations begin from next week so make sure to register and earn rewards.

This download prompt was quickly taken down from the website and now, the button has disappeared. It might be considered as a technical glitch on the website of Battlegrounds Mobile India or an unintentional mishap by the developers.
