How To Fix The Chat Room Not Connected Error In VALORANT

0

The “Chat Room Not Connected” error often tends to come back to the game with new updates/patches and is essentially something most people ignore but it may be an implication to a greater problem.

As the name suggests, the “Chat Room Not Connected” prevents users from using the chat room to communicate; though most players can get by without paying much attention, errors like this can indicate a connection error between them and the Riot servers.

Most connection errors can be tackled domestically that would naturally reduce the risk of major connectivity failures going forward. Players with any kind of network problems might try their hand at these remedies.

How To Fix The Chat Room Not Connected Error In VALORANT

Restart:

The age-old fix of most software, a simple restart of the game may fix any temporary issue that may just have popped up just as you worked your way to the game. Restarting the game/pc will essentially cut off all ties between the local client and the game servers ensuring the reestablishment of connectivity. A quick restart will fix the issue on rare occasions so it’s worth a try.

Router Restart:

Yet again, another widely accepted domestic remedy of network problems. That little box that sits on the desk may get too stressed at times to deliver your packets thereby causing a wide array of network failures across all your devices. Pulling the plug and keeping it off for 30 secs until the residual charge has left it and plugging it back in may do the trick. Though it is strongly advised that players should use wired internet to ensure the best possible connection.

Run VALORANT as administrator

Running Valorant as an administrator would give complete control of the layers of network in the local client which may help the game bypass any unnecessary security settings. Windows firewall often blocks harmless software that it deems of being potentially harmful, hence running the game with admin access solves most Windows security-related problems.

Change your DNS address

The default DNS may fail to deliver at times which may often slow down your internet speeds or shut it down altogether. Using the Google or Cloudflare DNS can never go wrong, arguably two of the most popular DNSs, Google and Cloudflare are very potent with it like any of their other services and they are more reliable than whatever your ISP has suggested at any given day. Changing the DNS to either one of the two can help with the connectivity issues.

Check for sever issues

Riot is punctual with their server maintenance to prevent any avoidable problems which may well be the reason you are not able to connect. Look for any news on maintenance on their socials and if everything checks out, head over to the Down Detector to check for a faulty server which Riot will indefinitely fix.

In what is possibly one of the largest publicly disclosed esports sponsorships in history, Team SoloMid has signed a $210 million naming rights deal with crypto exchange FTX Trading Limited and West Realm Shires Services Inc., according to a recent report by The New York Times

Moving forward, TSM will go by “TSM FTX” across all titles that the US-based organization participates in. These competitive esport titles include  League of Legends, Apex Legends, Valorant, Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros., Fortnite, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG Mobile, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Magic: The Gathering Arena, and chess.

TSM will reportedly be using the partnership money from the 10-year deal to expand to Asia, Europe, and South America. The org is also looking to invest in mobile gaming alongside other platforms.

“Taking a huge industry and then reimagining it in a digital age: that’s sort of what esports are to sports, and it’s sort of what crypto is to investing and to finance,” FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried told the Times.

Originally  founded in September 2009 by Andy “Reginald” Dinh, TSM has risen to be one of the biggest and most successful esports organizations across the world. Last year, the org was valued at a whopping $410 million by Forbes.

Twitch Streamer Cribazz banned for harassing LGBTQIA+ streamers

Freshly minted Twitch partner Cribazz has been banned from the platform following reports of sexual harassment against female and LGBTQIA+ streamers.

Having earned his status as a Twitch partnered streamer, it didn’t take long for him to face his first ban. Several women and LGBTQIA+ streamers came forward with allegations of sexual harassment against him and it was only a matter of time before Twitch got involved. Within 48 hours of being a Twitch partner, Cribazz had his account suspended from the Amazon-owned streaming platform.

Among several claims, DEERE took her accusations to Twitter where she elaborated Cribazz’s unsocial behavior with proof. She showcased how Cribazz would go over to other people’s channels only to harass them by filling their chats with racist, sexist and homophobic slurs.

“Take a look at the chat. That’s the community that’s being encouraged here.” “It’s disappointing that we are constantly attacked and targeted.” said DEERE.

DEERE wasn’t the only one to bring forward accusations against him, countless other women and LGBTQ+ members have had similar experience with him. The community as whole is calling for a permanent ban which may well be in the cards.

You have to pay a price to play CSGO ranked matchmaking

In a recent announcement that caught the entire CSGO community by surprise, Valve has confirmed that Prime CSGO will no longer continue to be free and players will have to pay to enjoy the benefits of Prime matchmaking.

Furthermore, the Non-Prime experience has also received a complete revamp. Moving forward, non-prime players will no longer be able to enjoy item drops, ranks, or even XP from playing. This will render them unable to move up to Prime by simply playing the game.

CSGO Prime Update

Ranked matchmaking has been restricted to Prime players only. However, Non-prime players will be able to enjoy every other game mode like Casual, Workshop maps, Deathmatch, or the newly implemented ‘Unranked’ mode.

The Unranked game mode can be considered as a replacement for Scrimmage, which has now been removed from the game.

This unranked matchmaking, similar to scrimmage, won’t affect the ranks of players. Players can play every map in unranked, and it’ll have no lobby skill restriction.

Players will be placed from a mixed pool of Prime and Non-Prime players in unranked matchmaking, whereas ranked will strictly be Prime-only.

“When new players play Competitive, Wingman, and Danger Zone, their matches will still use skill-based matchmaking, but players will not earn a Skill Group,” Valve stated in their blog post.

To put it simply, the existing free path to Prime has been completely shut down by Valve. Newer players can choose to buy the Prime upgrade in the next two weeks to carry their current Skill Group and XP progress.

How to get Apex Legends Pride Badge

Apex Legends is giving away pride badges as a free login reward for everyone to celebrate the Pride month.

The Pride month i.e. the month of June celebrates the importance of LGBQ+ representation. The pride colors can be seen all over the corporate culture for this month as a measure to reduce the gap and discrimination the members of the community have faced over the years.

As a way to show their support towards the movement, Respawn has introduced the Pride Badge that dons the color scheme of the Pride Flag put up in 2018. A black and brown strip has been integrated that represents the people of color; a way of showing their active support towards the “Black Lives Matter” movement at the same time.

Respawn has actively been in favor of causes helping the minor groups. From supporting political movements like “Black Lives Matter” to “StopAsianHate”, to non-political movements like helping the LGBTQ+ community get adequate representation. As a matter of fact, five of the legends in Apex Legends hails from the LGBTQ+ community, a few of them were there since the game’s early days.

The social problems surrounding transgenders can be solved by making the adults of tomorrow aware of the situation. Most of the Apex players are on the younger side and with a proper way to spread awareness, the hate and discrimination against all minority groups will be reduced over time.
