Leffen to get legal aid following accusations from Hax$

0

TSM FTX Smash Melee pro William Hjelte aka Leffen has announced that he is looking for legal assistance following accusations of forming a “totalitarian regime” in the Smash community from fellow player Hax$ aka Aziz Al-Yami.

In a two and half hour video published on YouTube, Hax$ has brought forward accusations towards Leffen. According to him, Leffen has formed a “totalitarian regime” around the Smash community before labeling him a “psychopath”. The video came along with a Google document that expands and breaks down his accusations in detail.

Nine different claims were surfaced by Hax$ that range from hijacking the “#metoo” movement for personal gains to “maliciously” advising players to alter the layout of their controllers and not mention how he “blackmail and propaganda” to “smear” Smash rival Juan ‘Hungrybox’ DeBiedma.

“at this point i don’t even know what to do. Legit concerned with my safety at events with this level of things. Will be looking into a lawyer before saying more just to make sure my bases are covered.” is all Leffen has to say in terms of a response.

So far, it has been obvious that Leffen rejects any claims made by Hax$ to the point that he is looking for a legal advisor to get him through these freshly surfaced accusations. Leffen is one of the most influential names in the community and given the tricky nature of the claims, more drama is sure to follow suit.

Racing Mode soon to introduce in PUBG Labs

0

Do you always felt to race with your enemies in Playerunknown’s Battleground? PUBG developers have heard you, soon Racing mode will arrive in PUBG LABS. This mode will completely change the experience of the game. Now, as you battle your opponents, you can also race across tracks on the newly updated Miramar.

ABOUT THE RACE

The players can select this mode on the homepage of the game. The player will select the vehicles at the start of the race. They could choose from Motorcycle, Buggy, Coupe RB, Dirt Bike, Mirado. Each vehicle comes equipped with a set of different weapons. Just after reading this line, I remembered the car combat franchise ‘Death Race’. Use the F8 key (Console: D-Pad down) to toggle the vehicle selection UI and change vehicles.

START RACE

The players are spawned in their vehicle as the race countdown begins. You won’t be able to move or attack other players until the race starts. The players are invincible for 10 seconds at the match start whereas 5 seconds invincible after each respawns. The game has a fixed racer track for the players as shown below. Both the tracks are one, start to finish.

Checkpoints

To save your progress in the game, you have to cross the checkpoints. Checkpoints serve as respawn points. Going off-track for too long engages an out of bounds timer and when the countdown hits zero, you will be respawned near the latest checkpoint you’ve passed.

Boost Crates

The players need to drive through red crates to collect boosts. The boost crates respawn a short time after being collected. You can use the shift key to consume your boost which brings you Full Speed. When killed, you will respawn with your boost gauge set to max. Vehicles such as motorcycles and Dirt Bikes are not given the boost to balance the gameplay.

Ammo Crates

Now comes the best part of the mode, Ammo crates. The players drive through blue crates to collect ammo. Crates provide a small amount of ammo for your equipped weapon. Ammo crates respawn a short time after being collected.

The player that crossed the finish line first, grabs the checkered flag and wins the race. The rest of the players will only get 60 seconds to finish the rave once the winner crosses the finish line.

The new mode announced by the developers just looks amazing. If all the things go well, we can soon see this mode available to the mobile version of the game. Till then race hard.

Fans of the cozy simulation game like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Harvest Moon are in for a treat as developer Singularity 6 has come up with an exciting new massively-multiplayer community simulation game set in a brand new high fantasy world with elements of open-world adventure games, farming and settlement building called Palia.

Palia is a totally new game set in a cozy massively multiplayer world where each player can build and live in their fantasy settlement with friends or alone for years to come. Palia has a deep and evolving story that the developer Singularity 6 plans on telling for years to come.

While the release date of Palia isn’t set in stone yet, Singularity 6 has opened up sign-ups for pre-alpha. For those looking to experience the game before its release and help the team in developing the game further before its release, all you need to do is sign-up for the pre-alpha access.

To sign up simply visit the Palia website where you will see a sign-up box for pre-Alpha access. Submit your valid email address and hit Submit. After submitting you will be asked to fill in a small survey if you want. The survey will ask some questions about your personal gaming habits, the type of PC games you play, how long you play, etc. Since the pre-alpha has limited slots answering the survey will greatly increase your chances of getting pre-Alpha access.

The date for pre-alpha isn’t announced yet, but as per a tweet on the official Twitter account, the pre-alpha will be coming soon. You can also follow the developers on Twitter and other social media sites or simply join the official Discord to be the first to get the news regarding the game.

Free Fire bans 1.2 million accounts for hacking

Garena recently released a report on their actions against cheaters and hacking in Free Fire. According to the post, the developers have banned more than 1.2 million accounts in the last two weeks. This crackdown is a part of their regular system security checks where violators are often punished.

Hacking is a big problem in Free Fire where players use exploits and plugins to gain unfair advantages. This includes variety of cheats and some cases are more severe than others. The developers have to actively keep an eye on the players to detect such cheaters and stop the exploit.

Garena Free Fire has a huge player base with millions of active players daily. It is quite hard to track so many players but with the help of in-game reporting system, Garena bans a large number of hackers on a regular basis. The most recent report states that 1,124,505 accounts were banned with a span of 2 weeks.

Out of these 1.2 million banned accounts, more than 70 players were using auto-aim to instantly lock targets and take them down without any needing to place the aim manually. This banwave has covered a big part of hackers and proves that strict actions are being taken against anyone who tries to exploit the game.

The percentage of cheat types out of the total are given below:

  • Auto Aim – 72.6%
  • Through Wall – 10.3%
  • Teleport – 14.8%
  • Others – 2.3%

Players reporting hackers are playing a big part in this process as 63.4% bans were made on the basis of reports. If you come across any hacker, make sure to report them so that appropriate actions are taken.

Free Fire OB28 Update: Training ground changes, Mini UZI

Free Fire OB28 Update is right around the corner and the developers have started to drop hints about new features that will be included in this new seasonal patch. Garena has shed some light on these new additions and some interesting things are being added to training ground. A new SMG will also be released in-game.

The OB28 Patch will be the next seasonal update in Free Fire. Currently, most of these features are being tested by limited players on the Free Fire Advance Server and after testing its stability, they will be added with the next global update. This update will be released around next week.

According to the social media posts, Free Fire will be getting chat emojis in the next update. Players can spam it within the training grounds and play with them. This addition will only be limited to training sector and not to actual BR matches.

Along with the emojis, the developers have decided to add more unique content to training grounds so players can have some relaxed fun without engaging into gunfights. The training grounds are almost transformed into amusement parks with the addition of Airship and Bumper Cars.

The description of Airship includes a “1v1” mode which means that this will probably be some kind of match between two players. More details about this mini-mode are not revealed yet. Players can drive Bumper Cars in training grounds and enjoy the ride along a track.

Another big addition to the game is Mini UZI. This new gun will be under SMG class in Free Fire and might be added to BR and Clash Squad mode in the OB28 update. The description of this gun says “High Burst and Firing Rate” which means that it will be a lethal close range weapon.

The efficiency of this weapon will decrease as distance increases but players who choose to engage more often within close quarters can obliterate their opponents using the new Mini UZI. The release date of this new update is not announced yet.

CSGO Ban wave: Thousands of Boosted Accounts Reportedly Banned

According to reports from multiple sources, a recent CSGO ban wave has wiped out thousands of accounts that used unfair means to boost their accounts. These include players who have used bots or other unethical ways to boost their accounts to Prime or to reach a specific rank.

This follows the massive update that CSGO received on June 3rd. Through the update, Valve implemented a paywall behind ranked matchmaking in CSGO, rendering non-prime players unable to queue for ranked.

A ban wave like this would seem logical, since accounts that used unfair methods to boost themselves to Prime would violate the point of this new update, and it’s only expected that Valve would take appropriate countermeasures.

It’s still unclear if the accounts caught in the ban wave included cheaters as well. However, the prime focus of today’s bans seem to be account boosters.

Moving forward, account boosting is expected to be curbed severely since players can no longer earn XP or drops from non-prime accounts. Newer players can choose to buy the Prime upgrade within the next two weeks to retain their achievements and levels, as confirmed by Valve earlier.

Riot Games forbids TSM to promote FTX in Valorant, League of Legends

Earlier this week, Team SoloMid (TSM) unveiled one of the largest publicly disclosed partnerships in esports. The North American organization has signed a deal worth $210 million with FTX Trading Ltd. for naming rights over 10 years. FTX Trading Ltd. is a cryptocurrency exchange platform.

Hereafter, the organization will be known as TSM FTX on the internet, on social media and across the esports titles. But, Riot Games will not permit the organization to use its revamped name.

As a result of which, the organization’s rosters for League of Legends and Valorant will remain TSM instead of TSM FTX during the broadcast and their jerseys will also exclude the FTX logo.

“The TSM and FTX sponsorship deal does not break any LCS sponsorship rules, but crypto exchanges fall under a category of sponsorship that carries activation restrictions,” said Chris Greeley, head of esports for Riot Games in North America & Oceania to Dot Esports. “As a result, TSM’s new naming convention and FTX brand placement on TSM jerseys will not apply to the LCS or other Riot Games esports in North America,” he further added.

In a rebuttal to the statement from Riot Games, Andy Dinh, the CEO of TSM, wrote on Reddit, “the deal carves out name on broad cast and jersey logo on both league and Valorant. But FTX will still be sponsoring our league and Valorant players in content, social, live-streaming and in person events. Which has more visibility than riots broadcast.”

This further affirms that the Los Angeles based organization would overall engage with its newest partner in the accustomed manner notwithstanding the drawback. The organization will update its social media handles with the updated name and its talent would actively promote the crypto platform in order to receive $21 million each year.
