How to fix low download speed during Steam Summer Sale?

0

This year’s Steam Summer Sale has already started from 24th June and will end on 8th July. Thousands of games get a heavy discount during this summer sale. The Summer sale is definitely one of the biggest Steam sales during a whole year.

However, a lot of people are facing an issue after the Steam Summer sale started yesterday. Whenever they are going to download any game from their Steam library, the download speed starts falling down even below 1 MB/second. In addition, it’s not an ISP issue. During the summer sale, a lot of people buy new games and start downloading them. Most probably, a high number of people from your region are downloading games from Steam and it’s the actual reason for Steam’s low download speed. Are you also facing the same problem? Let’s check out how to solve the issue.

How to fix low Steam download speed?

There is only one way to fix this issue. Try downloading the game during the nighttime or change your region to a part of the world where it’s a night at that time. To do it follow these steps:

  • Launch Steam.
  • Go to “Steam” on the top-left corner.
  • Click on Settings.
  • Then go to the Download section.
  • There you will get the option to change your download region.
  • Restart Steam.

Once you are done, you will be able to download the game from your selected region’s server and you will start getting good speed as the server is not overloaded.

ESPL introduced IPL style format to engage gamers at grassroot level

ESPL India is a leading Free Fire tournament which is about to be concluded very soon. This tournament has employed a special format to engage with the community. The organizers have employed an IPL-styled multicity format in ESPL and recently, the tournament director shared some information for selecting this particular format.

Free Fire is rising as one of the best mobile games in India. Part of the success is due to the developers’ active efforts to engage the community with interesting tournaments and events. ESPL took to another level by adding a completely new format in their tournament.

The organizers assigned eight teams to eight different cities and each of them is currently fighting for its valor. This format was named as “IPL” format, referring to the format of famous cricket tournament in India.

Mr. Vishwalok Nath, Director at Esports Premier League, did an interview with Sportskeeda and talked about various aspects of their tournament. Talking about the format, he said that IPL styled format was employed to engage gamers at a grassroot level.

The complete statement by Mr. Nath is as follows:

“We introduced a city-based franchise system to engage gamers from the grassroots level. The ESPL will allow the public to connect with the gaming community and get a deeper understanding of the industry. With time and exposure, the general public can understand that besides being a leisure activity, gaming is also a serious profession and a business.”

Free Fire has a large Indian audience but some part of this fanbase might not be aware about the competitive ecosystem of this title. ESPL employed an interesting strategy to increase their exposure and involvement by introducing a format which is quite popular in public.

How a photo with Amouranth took away Ludwig’s business opportunity

0

In a recent stream, Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren shared an instance where posting a photo with Amouranth on Instagram cost him a business opportunity.

Ludwig is one of the biggest names on Twitch and it is normal for several business opportunities to come his way. His influence carries enough weight to make or break a company, yet there was one that denied working with him over a photo he posted on Instagram with controversial streamer Amouranth.

He held back the name of the company but gave enough insight for us to know that they had concerns with two of his photos, both of which were with Amouranth. The company found her content to be inappropriate for their user group and the deal fell apart.

“They were like, ‘It wasn’t Twitter, it might have been on your Instagram,’” he said. “‘You had a picture with a **** star, and on your Twitter, you had a…’ and they trailed off.”

“Apparently, because I had a picture with Amouranth, I was not brand-safe enough to work with this company, so they couldn’t do it. They couldn’t do it.”

A funny way to run into a problem for Ludwig. For someone like him, passing on a few business opportunities won’t bother him as such, but his relationship with Amouranth might need some work if something like this is to be avoided in the future.

“Most Games Today Promote Violence Or Causes Mental Stress” Indian PM Modi

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the participants of Toycathon-2021 through video conferencing. Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from the All India Council.

Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Sanjay Dhotre were also present at the event. The event mainly focused on the games developed by the participants, while PM Modi advised more ideas to the developers that could be included in their games.

At the conference, PM Modi said, ” In the last 5-6 years, Hackathons have been made a big platform to solve the problems of the country. The thinking behind this is – to organize the country’s potential, to give it a medium. The effort is that our youth should be directly connected with the challenges and solutions of the country. If the child’s first school is the family, then the first book and the first friends, these are the toys. Children’s first communication with society is through these toys.”

He further added, ” There is another huge aspect associated with toys, which everyone needs to know. This is the economy of the world of Toys and Gaming – Toyconomy. The global toy market is worth about $100 billion. India’s share in this is only around one and a half-billion dollars. Today we import around 80 percent of our toys as well. That is, crores of rupees of the country are going out on these. It is very important to change this situation.”

Global games promote violence and lead to mental stress – PM Modi

The Prime Minister expressed his concerns on the global online and digital games that are not based on Indian concepts. According to him, these games either promote Violence or Mental Stress.

He said, ” Today the world wants to understand the present potential of India, the art-culture of India, the society of India in a better way. Our Toys and Gaming industry can play a big role in this.”

TSM India to reportedly drop their Battlegrounds Mobile India roster

TSM Entity, one of the best PUBG Mobile teams in the world is reportedly dropping their old PUBG Mobile roster. The roster with star players like Jonathan and Clutchgod will not representing TSM when the competitive tournaments start in Battlegrounds Mobile India.

According to a source close to Gametube, TSM is planning to drop their Battlegrounds Mobile India roster. This team has been one of the most dominant teams in India and has made a name for themselves on the global stage as well. The roster featuring Neyoo, Ghatak, Jonathan, Zgod and Clutchgod will not represent TSM but will stick together after changes are made official.

The players representing TSM are dominant in their play style and each of them is proficient in individual fights as well as team gameplay. They have performed brilliantly in the past and if TSM decides to drop this roster, some of the top organizations in the country may capitalize on this situation and acquire a power-packed roster.

TSM Entity is a veteran team in Indian PUBG Mobile Esports circuit and this move will certainly affect the community as a whole. The reason for this unexpected move is not revealed yet but some clarity is expected very soon if the report turns out to be true.

TSM held their roster throughout the tough period of PUBG Mobile ban and did not announce any plans for nine long months but as the official launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India is coming close, they have reportedly decided to take a very unexpected step. It will be interesting to see where the roster lands if TSM drops them.

I’d banged my head whilst at the pub and had a very large bump across my skull and was violently throwing up; I asked to go to the hospital to check these bumps” read her statement.
