In recent social media announcements, PUBG Mobile has permanently banned over 3.8 million accounts in about 7 days. They shared a complete anti-cheating report displaying the different tiers of players that were banned for cheating/hacking from June 18th to 24th, 2021. The players whose accounts got banned will not be able to access the game. The main reasons for the ban were: Modification of Character Model, Other hacks, and Speed hacks/X-Ray vision.

The maximum number of bans came from the crown tier whereas the least was seen in the conqueror tier. The officials also shared the types of hack that were used by the players that led to their accounts ban. The most percentage of these players were found using modification of the character model.

According to the latest anti-cheat report that has the data from June 18th to 24th, PUBG Mobile banned a total of 3,884,690 accounts from accessing the game.

The numbers have massively increased as compared to last week’s anti-cheating report. PUBG Mobile is one of the leading battle royale mobile games developed by Tencent Games. The developers believe in fairplay game, thus work strictly on banning the players found cheating or hacking.

With each game developed, we always see hackers and cheaters which spoils the nature of the game. PUBG Mobile has a no-cheat policy and introduced the Ban Pan anti-cheat system late in 2019 where it has banned the use of any third-party hacks.

On the recent anti-cheat post, the officials shared the tier distribution that was banned by the team. Below is the list of banned accounts.

  • Bronze – 12%
  • Silver – 5%
  • Gold – 5%
  • Platinum – 11%
  • Diamond – 23%
  • Crown – 28%
  • Ace – 15%
  • Conqueror – 1%

The official also disclosed the type of hacks that were used by these players. The majority of them were caught doing modification of character model (67%), X-ray vision hack was used by 8% of the banned players, 12% used auto aim hacks while 2% did modification in the area of damage. Speed hacks were being used by 8 percent of these accounts, and 3% were using other types of hacks.

Presently, PUBG Mobile has banned millions of accounts from using unethical means such as hacking or cheating. The team will keep doing in the coming future to maintain fairness in the game.

0

The highly anticipated Episode 3 of Riot’s tactical shooter has recently arrived to the title, and it has brought alongside it a plethora of new content that players are enjoying. However, some of these new changes are proving to be rather unpleasant for the Valorant community.

After a game-breaking bug involving NVIDIA Freestyle filters was discovered after the Episode 3 release, Riot Games decided to temporarily disable the function till the issue was fixed. Till then, players will be unable to change the game’s appearance using external programs.

For the unaware, NVIDIA users can use NVIDIA Freestyle to set various filters and change their game’s appearance settings including features like its contrast and brightness to customize the game’s visuals according to their will.

Problems began to arise when it was discovered that the HUD removal feature of NVIDIA could lead to the game-breaking bug where players would be completely unaffected by flashes in-game.

Many players were beginning to use this as an anti-flash exploit when Riot decided to temporarily disable the software till the issue is solved.

As of now, it’s still unclear when will NVIDIA users be able to use this feature again, or what steps will Riot take to tackle the bug.

Pokimane says she “can’t be friends” with Fedmyster

0

Following Fedmyster’s much-anticipated return, Pokimane announced that she will refrain from getting associated with him in the future after the allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced.

Pokimane has publicly shown her distaste towards Fed after he was removed from OfflineTV in light of the sexual misconduct allegations brought forward by former housemates Yvonne ‘Yvonnie’ Ng and Lily ‘LilyPichu’ Ki. Yvonnie and LilyPichu also happen to be friends with Pokimane which makes it obvious for her to cut all ties with the likes of Fed.

Despite Fed apologizing for his misconduct the community still holds him accountable which makes his return controversial rather than a smooth one. He promised to educate himself by using his influence to spread awareness about harassment against women.

Fed’s comeback had obvious implications of Pokimane coming across a plethora of questions about him which made her want to get it over as quickly as possible. She put out her views on it before her chat goes all crazy looking for her piece on Fed’s return.

“It’s not my place to say whether or not a person has changed because their actions and words will eventually speak for themselves,” she said.

“All I know is that I can’t be friends with someone who sexually assaulted people that I care about and handled it the way that he did.”

“We’re going to move with our lives. He’s going to move on with his life. And that’s life. And that’s really all I’ve got to say.” she added.

It’s safe to say that the community hasn’t welcomed him in the best of ways, some may argue that he is not welcomed at all, bottom line is that he has another shot at building his career on Twitch, an opportunity that many in his position would have been stripped off.

It’s official, DotA 2 The International 2021 needs a home, just not Sweden

0

One of the world’s largest event – $40 million in the prize – have to make last-minute changes to its venue this year. DotA 2 – The International 2021, which was scheduled in Stockholm, Sweden in early August this year, now has to find a new home. Thanks to Swedish Sports Federation, which denied categorizing esports as a sport.

Following the story which broke out on June 22 where Valve announced the unsettling conversation with the Swedish government. It was public information that the publisher was in talks with the authorities, but also finding a new venue at the same time if things didn’t work out.

For starters, Swedish sports authorities denied recognizing esports as a sport, which implied participants, organizers, staff, and talent coming into the country wouldn’t get their visas approved.

The update was shared by Valve on their DotA 2 blog, following which the community went into a buzz discussing CS:GO Major 2021, another major event hosted by Valve in the same country. CS:GO though, as sources confirmed, was the priority at the moment despite its sister title DotA 2 failing to amuse the authorities.

The cancellation of DotA 2 The International 2021 was announced by Swedish Esports Association, and confirmed by politician Hanif Bali on Twitter.

“We have now got in touch with Valve who announces that they will not complete the plans with The International in Stockholm,” the association Tweeted.

It translates to, “The Minister of the Interior, Damberg, refuses to issue sports visas to the participants in DOTA International. Thus, the event is canceled and moves to another country. This is one of the largest esports events in the world. Apparently, it does not count as a sport if it does not require tax money.”

The regional qualifiers of DotA 2 will begin in the next few weeks, where the top teams would battle it out for a slot at the LAN finals, which now looks to be somewhere in the Europe, but Sweden.

Sweden says esports is not an official sport, even for a $40 million event

0

Swedish Sports Federation has refused to recognize esports as an ‘elite sport,’ forcing Valve to host The International 2021 somewhere else in Europe. The International is a multi-million DotA 2 franchise that is among the largest publisher-backed esports events in the world.

In a statement revealed by Valve on its blog, Sweden voted against categorizing esports as an official sport. This means, the event would not be allowed to happen under the current circumstances, when the pandemic and lockdown restrictions have barred larger gatherings.

The statement read: “With the Minister of the Interior failing to recognize The International as an elite sporting event, anyone attempting to procure a visa for travel into Sweden for TI10 (including players, talent, and staff) would be denied,” which is essential for the event.

The International 2021 is a global event where participants from across continents participate. The government denying recognition would most certainly disallow applications of foreigners into the country for a competition not considered as an ‘elite’ sport.

Sources: TSM India’s Ghatak, Jonathan & Co. to join Godlike Esports BGMI roster

Godlike Esports has made a huge move in the competitive Battlegrounds Mobile India community by acquiring the dominating roster of TSM Entity. Sources from the management who are closed to TalkEsport, have confirmed that GodLike Esports is going to sign the entire roster of the TSM Entity including all the players (Ghatak, Neyoo, Jonathan, ZGod, ClutchGod).

TSM was reportedly going to drop their PUBG Mobile roster and GodLike Esports grabbed this opportunity to hire them immediately. The new GodLike roster will have all five members of the TSM Entity playing for a new organization. The players in this roster are some of the best in terms of talent and each of them has a huge potential to wipe entire squads on their own.

TSM Entity was led and coached by Ghatak and in this transition, the entirety of the PUBG Mobile division of TSM India, including the players and coach, has been acquired by GodLike Esports.

This is a huge change in the PUBG Mobile community as TSM Entity was always among the top five teams in any regional tournament and they almost won every tournament in which they participated and GodLike did not lack behind with excellent performance of their own. These two powerhouses are coming together to form their own power-packed roster to dominate in upcoming BGMI tournaments.

GodLike was in partnership with Chinese organization NOVA Esports and before they could showcase their prowess with a new name, PUBG Mobile was banned in India. We could see yet another partnership once the Battlegrounds Mobile India is publicly available in the country. The game is currently under the open beta phase where early access is available for players with Android devices.

GodLike Esports already has their own active roster of PUBG Mobile and as the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India is right around the corner, the competition and tournaments may also begin very soon. It will be interesting to see how Kronten decides to shuffle the roster to fit new additions alongside the old members of his team.
