BGMI Patch 1.6: Top 10 New Features

Krafton is planning to push a new update on Battlegrounds Mobile India and has provided a sneak peak preview of what players can expect in this new update. This BGMI update is called patch 1.6 and will be quite similar to the global version update of PUBG Mobile.

The developers have introduced a new mode in the game, where the in-game maps will be modified with new content. This mode is called as Flora Menace mode and we might see some new abilities and locations in Erangel, Sanhok and Livik. The preview reveals these locations or skills as Life Barrier, Zillion Matrix and Dynahex Supply.

A ‘Show Route’ button will also be added to the mini-map in the next update. This function will show the plane path to players during the entire map. The intention to add this feature is to make it easier for players to estimate where their enemies might be and add a layer of aggressive play style to the games. The scope adjustment button is also tweaked to enable a smoother operation with this new update.

Apart from the gameplay changes, the developers have adjusted settings layout as well. A new basic settings menu will be provided in the new BGMI Patch 1.6 update with changed button layouts.

The developers have also added a new feature called Capture Hightlight moments and even though its working is not explained yet, it might be used to save highlight worthy moments in your battles.

The last few changes are made to training grounds and arena mode. Players can now access unlimited ammo in training grounds and practice their aim without constantly picking up the ammo. Three new guns which exist in classic mode on various maps are now introduced in the Arena Battle mode. A small change is that UAZ and Bus will now have a better durability once the patch 1.6 is pushed in BGMI.

These new changes sound exciting and it will be interesting to see if they make a big impact on players’ playstyle in Battlegrounds Mobile India.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human launch delayed to February 2022

Dying Light 2 Stay Human was set to release on December 7. However, it has now been delayed as the developers now look forward to further polish and optimizing the same.

Techland’s Survival Horror Dying Light 2 Stay Human is certainly one of the most anticipated video games of the year. The action RPG was previously slated for December 7 this year, however, it now appears that the release has been pushed to a later date i.e. February 4, 2022.

Techland in a press release stated,

The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line. The game is complete and we are currently playtesting it. It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever done. Unfortunately, we’ve realized for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time to polish and optimize it. That is why we have decided to move the release date to February 4th, 2022.

It attributes the delay partly to its multi-platform release, which will see the game launch across two generations of Sony’s Playstation, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox.

In October, Techland would start providing both press and content creators with the Console and PC versions of the Game during a series of preview events to be held across the globe who would then be able to share their experiences from the zombie apocalyptic city. In addition, the game developers are looking forward to sharing with us some exciting news about the game towards the end of September.

The Closed Qualifier portion of the marquee competition will see sixteen teams, who earned their place at the event through a series of Open qualifiers, now compete for twelve open spots at the regional main event in a double-elimination playoffs bracket.

Earlier in August, ESL had declared the forthcoming IEM Fall 2021: Europe as the last and final RMR (Regional Major Ranking) event for the said region. It would further help the teams to gain points towards the PGL Stockholm Major, to be held later this year. A total of six events were declared by the event organizer ahead of the Major including, to be played across the North and South America, CIS, Asia and the Oceanic regions.

The European region were assigned four open qualifier events while the rest teams were invited to the Closed qualifier. Below is the list of the teams who made it through the four Open Qualifiers.

After announcing an exclusive partnership with Serie A clubs and acquiring Hero ISL license, EA Sports has officially announced the ratings for the top players of FIFA 22.

According to the ratings, former Barcelona and current PSG star Lionel Messi to stay as the best player of the upcoming FIFA 22. The second position has been captured by the Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski while he was in the third position in FIFA 21. However, the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo moved back to the third position while he was in the second in FIFA 21. Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar Jr are in the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions respectively.

Apex Legends Mobile beta releasing in Latin America on Sep 21st

EA Sports, the publishers of free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter game Apex Legends Mobile took their Twitter account to announce the next beta test for the Latin America region. The beta will be coming to Mexico, Colombia, and Peru for limited players on September 21st, 2021.

The players could get access to the beta version by pre-registering the game through the Google Play Store. As of now, the beta test will be available to android devices. Soon, the developers will be launching it for iOS devices.

They wrote, “You have already conquered the Wild Lands on the console, it is time to do it from your cell phone. If you are from Mexico, Colombia, or Peru you can still pre-register and play the beta version of @PlayApex Mobile and @Respawn #ApexLegendsMobile.”

They further added, “Upgrade. Pre-registration time is extended! If you haven’t registered, you still have time! The new date to play the Beta version of #ApexLegends Mobile before anyone else is postponed for a few days and will now be from September 21.”

Back in April 2021, Apex Legends Mobile was released for the selected users in India. The game was further released for the Philippines users in May 2021. The developers further extended their testing regions by releasing for Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia region. EA Games plans to roll out the game with beta tests throughout the world.

What are hoss bot accounts on Twitch?

Following the hate raid drama, problems can’t seem to go away from Twitch, with hoss bot accounts that are getting hold of users’ IP addresses.

Accounts that look fishy, to say the least, with “hoss” followed by a random number and alphabets are following streamers for quite some time now, but they are not your usual follow bots. According to reports, these bots are capable of getting hold of user’s IP addresses if their profiles are visited, thus presenting a massive security loophole.

Reports of the existence of such a follow bot came for the first time about a month ago, and users reported it’s capacity to get hold of IP addresses which has greater implications on your security on Amazon’s Gaming Platform.

“When I checked out their channel, they happened to be live but on their description, they have something that was grabbing the IP of people that were watching their stream.” said a user.

Twitch is aware of the situation and is probably working to find a way around this annoying new breed of follow bots. Until the issue is fixed, our advice to the readers would be to avoid visiting any suspicious accounts until Twitch fixes it for good.

Hamlinz confirms Twitch return after two years

Hamlinz was one of the biggest names on Twitch until he wasn’t anymore; with an imminent return confirmed soon, he along with Daequan announced in a cryptic message.

The duo announced that they have joined one of the top esports organizations in NRG and started a new YouTube channel that goes by the name Thoom House, upon which they confirmed that a Twitch return is imminent.

Daequan who already returned on 5th September addressed several personal issues mostly surrounding his health making fans get sympathetic which led to a grand comeback for him.

Hamlinz is set to return to Twitch on September 12 at 8PM PST, a week after Daequan’s return.

“March 2020, the last time I streamed on Twitch,” he said.

“The past couple of years have been hard for all of us in the Twitch community. Ear licking, hot tub streams, gambling, dudes leaving, and dudes coming back without capture cards.”

Hamlinz boasted a significant fanbase when he left and now that he has return, he is set for an uphill journey only if he can be consistent with the good work.

Pubg Mobile Pro League Season 4 Thailand got their winners of the group stage which was been played from 24th August. The Infinity finished at the first spot by beating the top contender teams like Faze Clan, Valdus the murder, King of Gamers Club and many more.

The PMPL Season 4 Thailand was a 3-week long league event where the top 20 teams from the region competed with each other to make it to the PMPL Season 4 Thailand finals. The complete season features a prize pool of more than $100,000 USD distributed among the league and final stage.

The Infinity scored a total of 600 points and took home $4,587 (approx) as a reward. Faze Clan finished at the second spot in the finals standings followed by Vampire Esports at the third spot.
