M42 saranshjain7 stomps FIFA Global Series South Asia Qualifier 1

0

One of India’s best FIFA players in Saransh Jain, who goes by the handle saranshjain7 has come out on top in FIFA GLOBAL SERIES South Asia Qualifiers, beating jenasid in a one-sided final.

With a $6000 prize pool, FGS 22 housed 41 players in Swiss Format, followed by a single-elimination play-offs. Four qualifiers over the course of the year will finally lead up to Global Series Playoffs where 2-4 players will represent Asia in the LAN Finals.

A great step forward for the M42 Esport’s star, who was a hot favourite heading into the first qualifier and he delivered in aces and spades. Cruising through the entire playoffs, Jain barely found an opponent to match him, making him the first Indian to win FGS 22 South Asia Qualifier. Along with $3500, the win will help Jain find a better seeding with 250 Global series points that will significantly help the odds of him qualifying to the next stage.

“Obviously it feels great to have won this huge tournament, have been working hard for this and it feels amazing to see it pay off, that being said this is only the start to an otherwise long season with lots of tournaments and qualifiers coming up, this gives me the confidence to go ahead and do better in the future, hopefully, I can keep this form up and keep winning,” said Saransh Jain, when we reached out for a statement.

Besides Saransh, 2nd and 3rd places were held by fellow countrymen, jenasid from Mumbai City and teammate Charanjot from M42 respectively. A great time to be a FIFA fan in India given how talents from this region are performing at an all-time high level and are looking to put India on the map of FIFA Esports. saranshjain7 and Charanjot’s individual placing marks the first victory of any Indian team in an EA Sports event.

Krafton reduces BGMI playtime to 3 hours for minors

Krafton Inc. has reduced the in-game play time for minors playing Battlegrounds Mobile India to three hours with an option to bypass the limit as well. This step is taken to encourage healthy and responsible gaming habits within children below the age of 18.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is probably the biggest hit in the battle royale genre and has a big player base. A big part of it comprises of minors and the developers have partially taken the responsibility to instill good gaming habits within children.

Battlegrounds Mobile India was launched with restrictions for minors playing this game. Players under eighteen have to sign-up via their guardians’ phone number and cross verify it via an OTP system. The in-game play time was also limited to six hours during the launch.

PUBG Mobile had several reports of causing harm and addiction problems in younger audience and the developers took this step to ensure that such things do not happen again. They have taken yet another stringent step according to the reports by Fossbyte.

The play time has been reduced to three hours for minors, after which they will have to provide an OTP sent on the guardians’ mobile number to continue playing. The game also reminds players to take a break in between sessions to promote rest.

This move will be helpful for caretakers to monitor their wards’ gaming habit and encourage them to play more responsibly.

India gets a seeding slot at PMGC 2021

0

India returns back to PUBG Mobile Esports after a gap of about two years as the invitational slot to PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals is given to them. The process of selecting invited team has not been revealed yet.

PUBG Mobile Esports recently posted a format explainer for PMGC 2021 on their social media handles and the finals column has attracted the attention of Indian audience. The post stated that “To support the restart of Indian PUBG MOBILE Esports, PMGC has given the Grand Finals invitational slot to India to ensure the highest possible level of global competition.”

India is officially included in the list of regions competing at PMGC Grand Finals. This is a huge moment for Indian PUBG Mobile enthusiasts as the region is once again included in the competition.

Indian teams were barred from competing in official PUBG Mobile tournaments after the game was banned and even after the return of PUBG in the form of BGMI, its future in terms of esports was quite unclear.

Krafton has announced Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 as their first regional esport event but it is yet to kickstart in the country. There is a huge possibility that winners of BGIS will be awarded with the seeding slot.

This is certainly a big news for Indian BGMI teams as they will get to experience the global competition once again. Last time, Orange Rock was inches away from snatching the victory on global scale and it will be interesting to see how Indian rosters will perform after a two year hiatus.

CSGO: Crowd’s Interference With Plays Still A Problem At LAN Events

BLAST Premier Fall Finals finished earlier today at a packed Royal Arena, in front of thousands of Danish CSGO Fans. Only the second event of the year with a crowd at LAN, it was missed very much during the Online era but it wasn’t all bells and whistles.

The production from BLAST was top notch but the fans left a sour memory for everyone there. This was pointed out by renowned analysts Duncan ‘Thorin’ Shields and Chad ‘SPUNJ’ Burchill who was present at the arena itself. They called the fans out for favouring Astralis, helping them when they spammed smokes and making them aware of a flank by asking them to look behind and other chants that could have been helpful.

The players do wear noise-cancelling headphones at all times but when 8 thousand people start shouting, it is hard to miss the sound. Some TOs do use sound proof booths so as to not let any sound from fans help the players, but it is an expensive investment, not to mention cumbersome to use when you’re having events all over the world.

The fans were also called out in the arena by host Alex ‘Machine’ Richardson when they booed French player ‘shox’ as he was interviewing them. Some fans left the stadium when Astralis werek knocked out, saying they had no reason to stay for the Grand Final and were termed as ‘plastic fans’ by SPUNJ.

NaVi Crowned BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021 Champions

Natus Vincere added yet another trophy to their cabinet, making it their 6th S-Tier tournament in 2021 and the 3rd Consecutive LAN win after IEM Cologne 2021 and PGL Major Stockholm. They showed us exactly why they’re called the Best in the world as they bested Team Vitality yet again, in a Bo3 Grand Final. They did lose their 20 map Nuke win streak in the process, but it made no matter as they got their hands on the coveted trophy after winning on the decider, Inferno.

This was most likely, the last dance for the Vitality line-up as the org is rumoured to be making changes going into 2022, with coach ‘XTQZZZ’ and ‘shox’ and ‘Kyojin’ set to leave. It is expected that the Danish trio of ‘Dupreeh’, ‘Magisk’ and ‘zonic’ as coach will replace them in January.

A win here would have been a great send off for the roster but it wasn’t meant to be, despite ‘ZywOo’s best efforts to pull his team through. They fought well on the first map, keeping it relatively close until the end and then absolutely dominated NaVi on Nuke, a map they havent lost in more than 6 months. But the team ran out of steam for Inferno, having already played a Bo3 vs Astralis in a 3 map affair and they crumbled on the deciding map as NaVi clinched the trophy.

It was the s1mple show on Mirage as he racked up 36 kills on his own, with just 16 deaths and a mammoth 1.91 rating to give his side the 16-12 win.

He was supported well by ‘B1T’ and ‘electronic’ and after a 9-6 half, good T side calling from ‘Boombl4’ saw them up 15-8. But the French still had a few tricks up their sleeve as they won the next 4. It required a ‘Perfecto’ 1v2 to close out the map for NaVi.

Nuke was rather uncharacteristic of NaVi as they could only manage 4 rounds, unable to abuse the rookies on the A bombsite as a team effort from all the players of Vitality helped them get 11 rounds. The T side was even more impressive, considering they were shut down convincingly last time around. This time they only let NaVi have 2 rounds, never letting them take control as they won the game 16-6 with ease.

On Inferno, it was NaVi’s turn to turn the screws and they did it with some aplomb. Starting on the CT side, the CIS side kept it tight all around the map, leaving no gaps for Vitality to exploit and winning rounds with brilliant utility usage alone. They won 12 CT side rounds, with ‘apEX’ and ‘shox’ posting 3 kills combined on their T side. The rest was a formality for NaVi as they won the remaining 4 with ease, winning the game 16-7 thanks to a 1v2 from ‘B1T’. and taking the trophy home.

NAF Extends Contract With Team Liquid Until 2024

Canadian rifler Keith ‘NAF’ Markovic extended his contract with Team Liquid, sending news of his exit down the drain. It was rumored that only Jonathhan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski would remain on the roster and the rest of Team Liquid would be going their different ways as a rebuild was incoming.

NAF-FLY first teased on Twitter about a contract being signed and fans weren’t sure for whom he had signed. A few hours later, Team Liquid announced that he ‘re-signed for Liquid until 2024’.

NAF has been instrumental in Team Liquid’s success and was part of the roster that won the Intel Grand Slam in 63 days in 2019. He was also the 7th best player of 2019 and 6th best in 2018. He had a rough patch in 2020 and narrowly missed out on a top 20 position, placing #21 in HLTV’s world rankings for 2020.

It seems NAF will remain part of the roster, but as Jake ‘Stewie2k’ Yip and ‘EliGE’ said previously, changes are coming especially for Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo and ‘Stewie2k’ himself after their exit at PGL Stockholm and calling themselves a ‘dead team’.

It remains to be seen whether Liquid will still sign ‘shox’ and ‘VINI’ as it was rumored earlier or will NAFs decision to renew change things, with IGL ‘nitr0’ returning as well.
