Ludwig signs exclusive streaming deal with YouTube Gaming

0

One of the most popular streamers on Twitch, Ludwig has announced his departure from the Amazon-owned streaming platform to stream exclusively on YouTube, with his first stream scheduled for later today.

Ludwig Ahren is known to be one of Twitch’s stars which makes this decision a surprise for many and a big blow for Twitch as Ahren will take his legion of fans to a competitive platform. Ludwig didn’t specify what triggered the move but he isn’t the first one to ditch Twitch for YouTube Gaming.

In a well crafted video, Ludwig announced his departure where he can be seen hopping in a red car from a blue one where he is able to play any music he desires, highlighting the benefits of YouTube Gaming.

Ludwig is yet to explain his decision but such a move is not unheard of. He follows the footsteps of the likes of Valkyrae and CouRageJD who successfully transitioned into YouTube Gaming with little to no hiccups.

It is obvious that Ludwig will bring over his loyal followers from Twitch but he is unlikely to hit the ground running. Even though is letting go of a massive viewer base, YouTube Gaming will help him tap into a whole new audience.

FaZe Clan & McDonalds USA launch SPOTLIGHT to promote Diverse Voices in Gaming

0

Los Angeles, CA (November 30, 2021) – FaZe Clan, a digital-native lifestyle and media platform rooted in gaming and youth culture, today announces the launch of their “Spotlight” campaign in partnership with McDonald’s USA, with the mission of elevating diverse voices in gaming.

FaZe Clan and McDonald’s “Spotlight” campaign, which was teased on social channels earlier this month, kicked off with an insightful content piece featuring FaZe Swagg and FaZe JSmooth speaking about what being a Black gamer means to them.

The “Spotlight” campaign, which launches December 8, will feature three livestream events hosted by FaZe Swagg and FaZe Jsmooth on their Twitch channels. During the events they will connect with diverse, up-and-coming streamers –  giving them advice on how to become a successful content creator and streamer, from sharing personal stories to giving them tips on how to cultivate their individual brands.

At the end of the streams, FaZe Swagg and FaZe JSmooth will gift the guest streamers with a collection of peripherals to help build out their set ups, and they’ll also give them an additional gift they can use to pay it forward and give back to their own audiences and communities, creating a ripple effect this holiday season.

“I’m so thankful for the tight-knit community that has formed around the Nuke Squad and myself,” says FaZe Swagg. “It’s an honor and a privilege to work with an iconic brand like McDonald’s to help spotlight diversity within the gaming industry and inspire the next generation to follow their dreams.”

“I’m grateful to be working with McDonald’s this holiday season to give back to the community that has provided me with so much,” says FaZe JSmooth. “Using my platform to elevate other diverse streamers is extremely important to me, and to make a lasting impact alongside both McDonald’s and my brother Swagg means the world to me.”

The FaZe Clan x McDonald’s partnership is anchored by a series of dynamic content activations that are centered around diversity and inclusion, from capturing the diverse stories of FaZe Clan members and challenges in the growing gaming industry to showcasing underserved and underrepresented youth who are rockstars in their own right.

“McDonald’s and gaming have a long history together. Over the years we’ve seen gamers grow from enjoying our food with Happy Meal toys to enjoying it with consoles and controllers,” said Elizabeth Campbell, Senior Director, Cultural Engagement at McDonald’s. “We want our customers to feel seen, heard, and represented in everything we do. The Spotlight program is the latest initiative in our larger partnership with FaZe Clan that aims to authentically engage diverse gamers by amplifying their voices and driving greater representation in the gaming industry.”

The Spotlight event will be broadcast on both FaZe Swagg and FaZe JSmooth’s Twitch channels.

Forza Horizon 5 Solar Panels Location

0

Forza Horizon 5 has taken the world by storm with millions of active players around, the developers are pushing new content to keep the hype flowing.

With the Winter week Series 1 on the horizon, FH5 playlist is back with a new series of challenges ready for the players to take on. Completing the playlist will reward the players with Forzathon points. The first challenge delegates the players to look for Solar Panels across the map and here’s how to find them.

According to our judgment, the easiest way to complete the challenge is by visiting the solar panel Farm near the main Horizon Festival location. The farm is located in the western area of Forza Horizon 5’s map, east of the Baja California area, near the Casa Bella house.

Players can also enter a custom event code (423 189 237) to enter a specific Blueprint quickly.

Once you find the solar panels, quickly run through them as fast as you can until the challenge is complete, given that players must run through 5 panels within the span of 30 seconds to successfully bring home the rewards.

MrBeast’s Squid Game under fire for ‘Plagiarism’

0

MrBeast’s own version of Netflix’s hit Squid Game has taken off with over 120 million views within a short span of time, but critics find the content a “plagiarised” parody of someone else’s efforts.

Squid Game was quite a blockbuster that graced Netflix earlier this year. The Korean show quickly became a global sensation as it attracted viewers from all across the globe for its unique plot. MrBeast quickly got onto the hype train and announced his own version of the show where he’ll hand out real money as he does in most of his videos.

This version of Squid Game fits into the genre of MrBeast’s videos where his generosity of giving away large sums of money comes into play and given the hype surrounding the show, this will be a supreme time to drop it.

Even though the community loves it, there remains a displeased group that is very critical of the ethical side of the show.

“So the promise of the creator economy is that you can spend 10 years of your life making something so that someone else can quickly parody it and get more views so that then someone else can claim the parody was more successful and took less work? Cool cool” said prominent author Sarah Cooper.

There are many besides Cooper who find the show “plagiarised” and believe that MrBeast is ripping off the Squid Game fame.

“The Mona Lisa took years to paint, but as a creator, I can photograph it in mere seconds,” one user wrote — prompting another to reply: “Now now, you’re being unfair, you also have to take the time to strip all cultural meaning and significance from it, as well.”

“In other news, plagiarism is way faster than original writing and much easier,”

Putting the plagiarism part aside, avid fans of the show believe that Donaldson overlooked the main point of Squid Game that speaks against the community’s struggle under late capitalism, even though his version was meant to be a parody.

A statement is due from the creators on the situation.

How to get Nick Fury Skin in Fortnite?

0

It is that time of the year again where new skin is introduced in Fortnite’s Item Shop. And this time, it is none other than Marvel’s principal character- Nick Fury.

Earlier this month, we witnessed a sudden release of another Fortnite skin, which was of Dark Phoenix’s. This time, Epic Games brought Avengers into the news and released Nick Fury’s skin in no time.

How To Purchase The Nick Fury Skin In Fortnite?

Image via Epic Games

Right now, the first thing you should do is to visit the “store” option in Fortnite after collecting the required amount of V-bucks. The Nick Fury outfit is also available in the store separately, which will cost around 1,500 V-bucks.

This skin/cosmetic will cost you around 2,000 V-bucks, but it has other perks too. The set will come bundled with other S.H.I.E.L.D-themed items such as Backbling and Pickaxe. Following is the entire list of things that you will get in the bundle:

  • Director’s Scythe (Harvesting Tool)
  • Quinjets in Flight (Loading Screen)
  • Nick Fury (Outfit)
  • F.I.E.L.D. Pack (Back Bling)
  • First-Strike Infiltration Glider (Glider)

Fortnite mostly releases Marvel skins in order to boost the promotional campaigns of their newly released films. The release of Nick Fury items indicates the same situation, but this does not exactly depict S.H.I.E.L.D’s main character.

How Much Time Do You Have To Complete The Purchase?

Epic Games has not given any exact time limit for users to purchase the items. But from previous instances, we can say that these items will be available in the store for a few days only.

There are chances that Epic might put up their previous skins back in the store once the new skins vanish. Our recommendation would be to pick your favorite skins as soon as you can because you never know! This was all we needed to tell you about Nick Fury’s new skin release in Fortnite. If you want to check out our other articles related to Fortnite, don’t hesitate!
