Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass Returns With First Anniversary Update

NetEase is bringing back the Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass to celebrate the first anniversary of the hero shooter. Still, fans only have a limited time to claim all the exclusive rewards before they’re gone.

This isn’t the first time that NetEase has reintroduced a former Battle Pass to Marvel Rivals. Previously, we’ve seen the devs behind the popular title bringing back the contents of the Season 0 Battle Pass as part of the Galacta’s Gift event in May 2025.

Similar to the regular Battle Passes in the game, the newly-added Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass costs 990 Lattice to purchase, but players can earn back 600 Lattice by finishing the pass. Alongside the Lattice, there are tons of exciting rewards for players to collect in the returning Battle Pass, with fan-favorite costumes like ‘Bounty Hunter’ Rocket Raccoon, ‘Blood Edge’ Iron Man, ‘Emporium Matron’ Scarlet Witch, and ‘Blood Berserker’ Wolverine up for grabs.

Marvel Rivals Brings Back Season 1 Battle Pass: Start & End Dates

The Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass is available for players to grind through starting November 27, 2025. Players will have two weeks to collect all rewards included in the pass, as it expires on December 11.

If you’re not planning to get the returning Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass, there’s plenty of other stuff for you to enjoy as well during the anniversary celebrations. Participating players can earn up to 2500 free Units during the event, alongside the exclusive ‘Business Suit’ skin for Jeff the Land Shark.

How to Fix Arc Raiders ARAU0297 Error

How annoying it can be when, right in the middle of diving into the post-apocalyptic world of Arc Raiders, you encounter the ARAU0297 error. That online connection error means a failure to communicate with the game’s servers and prevents access to matchmaking and other online services.

Before you resign yourself to a session of troubleshooting instead of raiding, here is a guide to the most effective fixes, curated from community reports and technical analyses.

How to Fix ARAU0297 Error in Arc Raiders?

The most surprisingly successful and widely reported solution involves your system’s date and time settings. You see, the game’s servers need a very precise time sync for authentication, or else they can reject a connection.

To sync your system time on a PC:

  • Go to Time & Language settings.
  • Toggle the “Set time automatically” option off and then on again.
  • For good measure, click the “Sync now” button to make certain your clock is perfectly aligned with server time.

This simple step has resolved the ARAU0297 error for many players across all platforms.

If the time sync doesn’t work, then you need to check for network-related issues. Flushing your DNS cache will remove old or corrupted network data that can affect the connection.

To flush your DNS on a PC:

  • Open the Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type the command ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
  • You can also use the following commands for a deeper reset: netsh winsock reset and ipconfig /renew.

Other possible solutions include checking the integrity of your game files through your game launcher, checking that your firewall or antivirus isn’t blocking your game, and turning off any active VPNs, known to cause conflicts with games.

If you are still facing the error, contact Arc Raiders support.

Government Flags Terror Financing Ties to Unregulated Online Money Games in Supreme Court

0

The government dropped a serious allegation in the Supreme Court this week. Unregulated online money games aren’t just draining wallets; they’re potentially funding terrorism and facilitating money laundering on a scale that threatens national security, as reported by Hindustan Times.

In an affidavit filed before Justices J B Pardiwala and K V Viswanathan, the Centre laid out disturbing connections between real-money gaming platforms and criminal networks. The government claims these platforms have become conduits for routing funds tied to drug trafficking, human trafficking, fraud, and weapons smuggling.

Online Money Games: The Numbers Tell a Dark Story

Indians are losing roughly ₹20,000 crore every year to online money games, with approximately 45 crore people affected. But the financial damage is just one part of this mess. Karnataka reported 32 suicides linked to online gaming between January 2023 and July 2025. On the other hand, Telangana saw seven deaths in a single month this year.

The government’s investigation revealed that gaming companies registered in small island countries open user accounts with Indian banks using proxy persons. Moreover, gaming companies deliberately misdeclare the purpose of these remittances to send user money out of India.

Terror Financing Through Gaming Apps

Analysis of Suspicious Transaction Reports and Cross Border Wire Transfer Reports exposed how offshore shell companies launder money through these gaming platforms. Furthermore, the Centre told the court it has classified material showing direct links to terror financing and offered to submit this evidence in a sealed cover.

“Unchecked expansion of online money gaming has been linked to financial fraud, money laundering, tax evasion and in some cases, the financing of terrorism, thereby posing threats to national security, public order and integrity of the State,” the government’s affidavit stated.

Why the Ban

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 aims to shut down this ecosystem entirely. Companies operate from offshore jurisdictions, bypassing domestic laws and creating enforcement nightmares. Additionally, celebrity endorsements aggressively target youth and vulnerable groups through these platforms, multiplying the risks.

The Supreme Court will hear the matter again this week as multiple petitions challenge the new law.

StarLadder Budapest Major Stage 1 Day 4 Recap

FaZe Clan and Fnatic survive by the skin of their teeth and now will be one win away from making it to the next stage of the event after beating RED Candis and NRG. Standing with a 2-2 scoreline, their fate will be decided in their next game in the StarLadder Budapest Major Stage 1.

Fnatic stunned NRG

With both teams showing up with a mixed track record in the event, NRG started the series on a better note. Pulling in 9 rounds on their defense, Fnatic was left with 3 rounds to mount a comeback, where 4 rounds from NRG on their offense closed the opening map with a dominant scoreline. Having faced a stunning defeat, Fnatic managed to start the 2nd map with better form, winning 8 rounds on the defense in the first half, and the close 2nd half made a 3rd map possible. Continuing their form from the previous map, Fnatic closed the first half with an 8-4 scoreline, but NRG pushed them to their limits in the second half, but Fnatic edged out a win thanks to their buffer from the first half to win the series.

FaZe pulled off a stunning comeback against Red Candis

RED Cadis started the series by thrashing FaZe on their own map pick. A disaster of an offense, followed by an equally poor defense, gave the Brazilians an early lead in the series with a dominant 13-7 scoreline. Nuke, starting with FaZe on the defense, saw the first half yield a levelled scoreline, and with the second half failing to separate both sides, we saw the game get pushed to overtime. RED Candis started the first OT with a flawless defense but failed to win a single round on the offense, leading to FaZe pulling off a comeback from the face of 3 series points. The second OT is where FaZe pulled ahead, and with 3 back-to-back rounds on the offense, a frozeN masterclass gifted FaZe a 3rd map. Inferno, being the final map of the series, saw the real FaZe Clan come out where they managed to pull in 8 rounds on the offense and having lost a single round on their defense, a 13-5 dominant scoreline saw FaZe book their spot in the next round of Stage 1.

Two back-to-back reverse sweeps from FaZe and Fnatic ensured that two of the most notable organisations in Counter-Strike esports advanced to the next round of the most prestigious tournament. Unfortunately for RED Candis and NRG, their run at the Major ended today, but all the teams they faced will be in their memories, given the tough contests they put up.

PMGC 2025 Group Stage: Dates, Indian Teams Groups, Format, and More

The Group Stage of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 is set to begin on 28 November, featuring 32 teams. Both Indian teams, Orangutan and True Rippers, will compete in this stage. The teams are divided into two groups, Red and Green, and both Indian teams have been placed in separate groups. Group Green will play from 28 to 30 November, while Group Red will play from 2 to 4 December.

The PMGC 2025 Group Stage will take place from 28 November to 4 December. A total of 32 teams are divided into two groups of 16 teams each. These teams include the remaining qualified squads from regional championships or PMGC points, as well as 9 teams from the Gauntlet Stage.

Each group will play 18 matches across 3 matchdays. The top 3 teams in each group will qualify for the Grand Finals, while teams ranked 4th-11th will advance to the Last Chance stage. The bottom 5 teams from each group will be eliminated. Group Green will play their matches from 28 to 30 November, while Group Red will compete from 2 to 4 December.

Orangutan competed in the Gauntlet Stage and finished 11th with 96 points. They missed direct qualification to the Grand Finals by 16 points, but they will look to secure their spot through the Group Stage. Since they already have experience playing against most of these teams, they will aim to come prepared and perform strongly.

True Rippers, led by Jelly, will make their PMGC debut on 2 December. The team is in excellent form, finishing second in two recent Indian tournaments, BMIC 2025 and CEGC 2025. They will be facing strong teams like Weibo Gaming, Regnum Carya, and INFLUENCE RAGE in Group Red.

Orangutan Misses Out on Direct Qualification for PMGC 2025 Grand Finals

Team Orangutan’s dream run hit a roadblock at the PMGC 2025 Gauntlet stage in Thailand. The Indian squad finished 10th with 65 points across 18 matches, falling short of the top-seven cutoff needed for direct Grand Finals qualification. They’ll now regroup and compete in the Group Stage alongside eight other teams who couldn’t seal the deal at the Gauntlet.

Orangutan to Play PMGC 2025 Group Stage After Missing Grand Finals Qualification Through Gauntlet

Day 1 looked promising. Orangutan sat comfortably in fourth place with 43 points, showing exactly why they dominated the BMSD 2025 and BGMI Showdown back home. AKOP led the charge with eight eliminations, while the rest of the roster contributed to a balanced team performance that had Indian fans believing.

Then Day 2 happened. The wheels came off spectacularly as Orangutan struggled across all six matches, managing just 22 points for the entire day. What started as a nightmare turned into a reality check. This wasn’t the regional circuit anymore. ThunderTalk Gaming, R8 Esports, and Kara Esports pulled away at the top while Orangutan scrambled to stay relevant.

Day 3 brought some fight back into Orangutan’s game, but the damage was already done. The squad put up 31 points, bringing their tournament total to 96 points. AKOP delivered a clutch 1v3 against GS Esports that had Indian fans on their feet. But individual heroics couldn’t overcome the Day 2 collapse. They finished 10th overall. The math was simple. They needed multiple chicken dinners and couldn’t deliver under pressure.

What Went Wrong at The Gauntlet

The Gauntlet format doesn’t forgive mistakes. Sixteen teams battling over three days for seven Grand Finals spots means every match carries massive weight. Orangutan couldn’t maintain their Day 1 momentum, and inconsistent performances across Erangel and Miramar cost them dearly.

R8 Esports topped the final standings with 138 points, followed by ThunderTalk Gaming at 135 and Kara Esports at 112. The gap between seventh place and Orangutan’s 10th-place finish wasn’t insurmountable, but the pressure got to them when it mattered most.

PMGC 2025 Group Stage: Second Chance at Glory

The journey isn’t over. Orangutan now enters the PMGC 2025 Group Stage scheduled for late November, where 32 teams will fight for six direct Grand Finals slots and 16 Last Chance Qualifier spots. The format splits teams into two groups of 16, with each playing 18 matches.

This is still Aaru and company’s first international PUBG Mobile event. The learning curve is steep, but they’ve got the talent to bounce back. Indian fans showed up big time during PMWC 2025, breaking viewership records. Now Orangutan needs to repay that faith with performances that match the hype.

Is Marvel Rivals Playable on Xbox One?

At the time of writing, Marvel Rivals is not available to play on Xbox One.

Currently, Marvel Rivals only supports the following platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

In terms of hardware requirements, Marvel Rivals is a pretty demanding game, which is why it’s only available on newer-generation consoles alongside mid-to-high-end PCs.

For the same reason, it’s highly unlikely that Marvel Rivals will be playable on the Xbox One in the future either. If you’re an Xbox One user, you should consider upgrading to a Series X|S if you’re looking to play Marvel Rivals.
