Meanwhile, GodLike Esports, who dominated the first two days, faced a tough final day and ultimately secured second place with 152 points. Despite notching up a massive 117 finish points (the highest among all teams) their placement points fell short, costing them the championship. Close behind, Orangutan maintained consistent performances to claim third place with 143 points.

How Team Versatile Became the Winners of BGIS 2025

From the very start, Team Versatile played like true contenders. Their ability to switch between aggression and patience gave them an edge, and they consistently found themselves in the right positions at the right times. Whether it was early-game brawls or late-circle clutches, they handled it all with composure.

Their back-to-back WWCDs on Day 2 helped them to reach the top of the leaderboard, and they didn’t look back. Even with the pressure mounting on the final day, Versatile stayed true to their name and adapted brilliantly to every situation.

BGIS 2025 Grand Finals lived up to all expectations. The tournament garnered over 450k live viewers on the Hindi livestream alone on the final day. The event once again highlighted the massive popularity of BGMI esports in India.

Vitality Wins IEM Melbourne 2025

Vitality has secured the Intel Grand Slam, stunningly winning IEM Melbourne after a 5-map thriller against Falcons, who pushed them to the limit. The undisputed best team in the world in Team Vitality, will be picking up their third trophy of the year with ZywOo leading the charge as the tournament MVP.

VETO

  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • Falcons removed Anubis
  • Vitality picked Inferno
  • Falcons picked Dust2
  • Vitality picked Train
  • Falcons picked Mirage
  • Nuke was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

Starting strong on the offence, Vitality steamrolled through the Falcons’ defence. Not only did the Falcons get outclassed tactically, but Vitality were sharp with their aim, which NiKo and co. could not keep up with. Managed two rounds on the defence, Vitality closed the game without losing a single round on their defence. Closing the map with a 13-2 scoreline ZywOo started the finals with a hot hand.

Map 2: Dust 2; Pick: Falcons; Winner: Falcons

The Falcons started their pick on a poor note but soon hit back, as they had m0NESY firing on all cylinders on the offensive. Edging out a narrow 7-5 lead, the Falcons failed to close the game in regulation, as Vitality pushed the game to OT. The Falcons were flawless in OT, which led to them levelling the series by winning the map with a 16-12 scoreline. Kyxsan was the player with the most impact, dropping 23 kills while calling a great game for the Falcons.

Map 3: Train; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

It was a solid defence from the Falcons to kick off the series, but Vitality managed to edge it close, winning 5 rounds on their offence. While the Falcons looked better on their defence, their offence largely fumbled, winning only two rounds, leading Vitality to effortlessly close the game with a 13-9 scoreline. ZywOo was the driving force behind a solid Vitality defence, dropping 24 kills to snatch back the lead.

Map 4: Mirage; Pick: Falcons; Winner: Falcons

Winning the pistol round, the Falcons went on to go 5-0 up before Vitality managed to recover the series, as the Falcons managed only one more round to level the scoreline. Switching sides with a 6-6 scoreline, Vitality converted 3 rounds off the back of the pistol win, but Falcons managed to put together a series of rounds to outlast Vitality in an epic second half with a 13-10 scoreline. m0NESY by far was ahead of everyone in the server, dropping 23 kills at 1.64 IR.

Map 5: Nuke; Pick: Decider; Winner: Vitality

Starting on the defence, the Falcons were near invincible as individual mistakes between rounds netted Vitality a 3 to their name before switching sides. Falcons were largely dominant on the defence as they changed sides with a massive 9-3 lead. Losing the pistol round, the Falcons got back on the board with the first gun round and continued to build momentum. It took a heroic effort and a last-second fake from Kyxan to put the Falcons on the tournament point. Vitality managed to put together a stunning comeback to push the game to OT, and both teams traded rounds till the third overtime, where they went flawless on the offence to win the series.

Valiant effort from Falcons who had little time to practice leading up to the tournament with the addition of m0nesy. They managed to do what no team had done yet that is to push Vitality to the absolute extreme, which would let them leave the tournament with their heads held high.

CID Busts ₹2 Crore BGMI Scam: Seven Arrested in Multi-State Instagram Fraud

The Cyber Crime Cell of CID Crime, Gandhinagar, has dismantled a sophisticated cyber fraud network that exploited the popularity of the BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) gaming app, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals and the exposure of a ₹2 crore scam. The operation targeted users across India, leveraging Instagram to lure victims with promises of discounted in-game UC coins, as reported by TOI first.

How the Scam Operated

The accused set up multiple fake Instagram profiles, advertising cheap UC coins for BGMI. To gain the trust of potential victims, they initially transferred a small number of coins. Once trust was established, the scammers escalated their tactics by falsely claiming that the victims’ gaming IDs had been reported and faced imminent bans. Victims were pressured into sending additional payments under the guise of resolving these fabricated issues, with assurances of refunds that never materialized. All transactions were conducted via QR codes shared over WhatsApp, but the promised coins were never delivered, nor were the funds returned.

Major Arrests and Seizures

A targeted raid at a house in Nidhi Bungalows Society, Palanpur (Banaskantha district), led to the arrest of:

  • Shailesh Chaudhary (21, Ranesari village, Tharad taluka)
  • Sendha Chaudhary (22, Kumbhardi village, Vav taluka)
  • Jitendra Chaudhary (20, Sherau village, Tharad)
  • Suresh Chaudhary (20, Lodnor village, Tharad)
  • Rahulkumar Chaudhary (20, Patiyasra village, Tharad)
  • Narsinh Chaudhary (19, Kumbhardi)
  • Rahul Chaudhary (19, Savarakha village, Tharad)

During the operation, authorities seized 13 mobile phones, 14 bank passbooks, 40 cheque books, 88 debit/credit cards, and ₹1.5 lakh in cash. Technical analysis revealed that the gang operated across 21 states, with 39 complaints from 14 states linked to their bank accounts and mobile numbers on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCCRP). The accused utilized 25 bank accounts, which recorded transactions totaling ₹2.11 crore during 2024–25.

An FIR was registered at the State Cyber Crime Police Station, CID Crime, Gandhinagar. The suspects face charges under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, relating to cheating by personation using digital means, as well as Sections 66C and 66D of the Information Technology Act, which address identity theft and cheating by impersonation using computer resources.

This case highlights the growing threat of cyber fraud in India’s gaming community. The CID’s swift action has disrupted a major network, but authorities urge users to remain vigilant against offers that seem too good to be true and to report suspicious activity immediately to cybercrime portals.

New Marvel Rivals Dev Talk Reveals Spider-Man Nerfs, Strategist Buffs, & More Changes

The latest edition of Marvel Rivals Dev Talk has shed light on a bunch of changes coming to the hero shooter with its mid-season update, and there are some huge announcements for fans to check out.

It hasn’t been long since the Marvel Rivals Season 2 update hit the live servers. The highly anticipated update added a plethora of new content to the NetEase title, including a fresh Battle Pass, tons of free cosmetics, and a ranked reset. However, a portion of the community was still unsatisfied with the update due to the drastic hero changes it introduced, which many players felt disrupted the game’s balance and favored certain characters over others.

It seems that NetEase has taken note of players’ concerns, as the new Marvel Rivals Dev Talk has offered insight into their upcoming plans to address the game’s balance issues.

Marvel Rivals Dev Talk: Hero Changes

Strategist mains, rejoice! In the latest Dev Talk, NetEase has revealed that they’re planning to buff multiple Strategists in the upcoming Marvel Rivals update.

“In this fierce environment, Strategists face increased pressure, needing to monitor teammates’ health closely while carefully using their key abilities and being mindful of their positioning on the map,” the devs said in a statement. “In the upcoming patch, we will enhance the damage capabilities of certain Strategists to elevate their threat levels, which in turn, will increase team composition possibilities.”

While Strategists are set to receive some juicy buffs in the mid-season update, some Vanguards and Duelists might not be so lucky.

Alongside revealing the Strategist buffs, the devs have also confirmed that Groot and Captain America will have reduced survivability in the next patch. Additionally, Spider-Man will also see a notable nerf, with his Amazing Combo damage range being reduced.

Marvel Rivals Dev Talk: Competitive Adjustments

Other than the aforementioned hero changes, adjustments to the competitive game mode are also on the menu for the Marvel Rivals midseason update.

Moving forward, hero performance ratings will be calculated based on the average key combat data for a hero at the player’s current rank. The more a hero’s stats exceed the baseline during a match, the higher their performance rating will be — and conversely, falling below the baseline will result in a lower rating.

“We’ve noticed that, compared to previous seasons, a small number of Duelists have a slight advantage in performance ratings in Season 2.0, while some Vanguards and Strategists face a slight disadvantage,” the devs said. “However, most heroes remain balanced. In the upcoming patch, we will optimize the performance rating calculations based on the latest data to ensure fairness across all heroes.”

The Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 update is expected to launch around May 30, 2025. It will bring with it the new Strategist hero Ultron, alongside all the aforementioned changes.

Valorant Premier V25A3: Full Schedule and What to Expect

As Valorant gears up for Season 25 Act 3, Riot Games has officially outlined the schedule for the next installment of Premier, the competitive mode designed to connect everyday players with the esports ecosystem.

In this article, we’ll dive into the V25A3 schedule, explore how Premier works, and look at what players can expect moving forward.

What is VALORANT Premier?

Launched in 2023, Premier was Riot’s response to a burgeoning need: players wanted something more than Ranked matches; they needed a managed, team-based competitive experience without requiring them to go completely pro. Premier provides that middle ground, a season-long competition where players can form teams, play scheduled matches, and strive for qualification to official Valorant tournaments.

In contrast to Ranked, where matches are primarily random and player-specific, Premier focuses on teamwork, communication, and season-long reliability. Groups earn points throughout the season, and top-performing teams move into a Playoff bracket in the hopes of securing exclusive rewards and more Valorant esports opportunities.

For pro-bound players, Premier is not merely about bragging rights; top teams, especially those in the Contender Division (the top division), can advance to regional Valorant Challengers Leagues, the official entry point for the global competitive circuit.

VALORANT Premier V25A3 Full Weekly Schedule

Each Premier season lasts across multiple weeks, with predetermined maps and organized match windows. Teams have to play two matches a week on a set map. Here is the scheduled V25A3:

  • May 7–11, Map: Haven
  • May 14–18, Map: Lotus
  • May 21–25, Map: Sunset
  • May 28 – June 1, Map: Pearl
  • June 4–8, Map: Icebox
  • June 11–15, Map: Ascent
  • June 18–21, Map: Split

After the weekly matches, the Playoff phase will kick off on June 22, 2025. Players with sufficient points under their belt through the regular season will qualify. Winning teams at the Playoffs will receive exclusive rewards within games, such as banners, gun buddies, and titles.

How Premier Points and Playoffs Work

Over the course of the season, teams accrue Premier Score Points from match outcomes:

  • Win: 100 points
  • Loss: 0 points
  • Forfeit/No-Show: -25 points

There is a minimum point threshold (which Riot will usually announce nearer the Playoff date) that must be reached for participation in the Playoff tournament. Presence also plays a role; teams that show up consistently for matches stand a better chance of qualifying, even if they lose all their games.

Dominant Contender Division teams can open up new doors. High-performing Contender teams might be invited to compete in a Challengers Qualifier, with only a few steps between them and competing on a professional Valorant stage.

If you are going to participate in the Valorant Premier V25A3, share this article with your team right now. If you still have any queries, let us know in the comments below.
