How to Change Name in League of Legends?

Players are always requested to choose a Username and a Summoner name when they download League of Legends. Notably, the username is the name used to log in, and no one other than the player has access to or visibility of it. Changing a username in League of Legends might be a pain, but changing the Summoner Name is straightforward.

Riot Games changed its account system in 2019 and prompted players to alter their usernames. The fact that Riot introduced a worldwide, universal log-in mechanism meant that duplicate usernames could not exist, which is why the usernames were unlinked and Riot sent out emails requesting gamers to reset them to unique ones.

What are Summoner Names and how do I alter mine in League of Legends?

We already know that the username is the name that appears in your credentials. The Summoner Name is the unique name that is publicly shown to your friends and all other League of Legends players.

While you can’t continually changing your username to keep up with the latest trend, you can certainly keep up with it by changing your in-game name, commonly known as the summoner name.

Changing the Summoner Name is easy and can be done through the client, however it comes with a cost. To alter them, players must follow the steps outlined below.

1. Log into League of Legends with your credentials.

2. Once the client opens, navigate to the Store page.

3. Look for an option labelled Account on the right side of the interface, below the Riot Points (RP) and Blue Essence (BE) trackers.

4. Go to Account and select “Summoner Name Change,” which should be unlocked.

5. Players can replace their summoner names for either 1300 RP or 13900 BE.

6. Players can verify if their desired name is available before spending the money, and then go for it.

What is the best way to change Summoner Name for free?

Riot Games normally makes an exception if players want to make small modifications to their summoner names, like as capitalising them or adding or deleting spaces. Players can submit a ticket on the League of Legends website. Players must open a Riot support ticket with the subject “SUBJECT: Summoner Name Change” in the subject line.

S1mple Breaks All-Time CS:GO MVP Record With New NAVI Lineup

0

Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev adds yet another Most Valuable Player award by HLTV.org to his collection after his triumph in Lisbon, Portugal where Na’Vi outed Team Vitality in the Grand Finals. s1mple averaged a 2.0 rating of 1.37 across 12 maps at the Altice Arena.

The Ukrainian organization played phenomenal, let alone the fact that saw Denis “electroNic” Sharipov take up the In-game leader reigns while sdy had to fill up for Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov whom Na’Vi parted ways with a few weeks back.

s1mple and his men had only lost to OG Esports in the event’s opening match-up with their backs against the wall when they had to lock horns with BIG in the elimination bracket.

This feat of s1mple’s makes him the first ever player to surpass Nicolai “device” Reedtz who currently holds 19 MVP trophies under his belt.

The BLAST Premier Spring Finals was indeed the best ever championship secured by Natus Vincere under the guidance of s1mple and electroNic with the former racking up an overall KPR of 0.88 thanks to the statistics powered by HLTV.org on his profile.

s1mple’s next challenge would be the forthcoming IEM Cologne 2022 where Natus Vincere ponder upon settling on their final piece to the roster puzzle but are rumored to retain sdy as suggested by the undertaker himself.

RSG Philippines has been declared the Southeast Asia Cup MSC 2022 Champion. Find out more

On Sunday, RSG Philippines was awarded champion of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang South East Asian Cup MSC 2022 after a 4-0 victory over RRQ Hoshi of Indonesia. The win was sweet payback for RSG Philippines, who had previously been defeated by RRQ Hoshi, and it gave Filipino fans of Mobile Legends esports much to cheer about.

MSC 2022: As it turned out Anyone who has followed MSC 2022 will agree that RSG Philippines’ triumph was well deserved, given their performance throughout the competition. With consecutive 2-0 wins, the Philippines-based team jumped out to a good start in the competition, finishing first in their group ahead of RSG Singapore and See You Soon.

They continued their strong play into the upper bracket knockout rounds, defeating Falcon Esports 2-1 before sweeping Orange Esports 3-0 in the playoffs.
They had only lost one game going into the upper bracket finals, thus many people thought they would easily overcome the Indonesian squad. After RRQ Hoshi’s surprise 3-1 victory, the Philippine-based team was forced to play Omega Esports in the bottom bracket.

After defeating neighbouring Philippines-based team Omega Esports 3-2, RSG Philippines claimed that they will “get their revenge” and avenge their loss against RRQ Hoshi. They did just that by crushing the Indonesian team 4-0 to win the championship.

In both games 1 and 2, RRQ Hoshi appeared to have the upper hand at first, so it wasn’t all plain sailing. Despite the hurricane, RSG Philippines was able to weather the storm and win the most honours, thanks to a remarkable return.

With this result, the MSC 2022 event appears to have been a huge success. With a peak audience of about 2.8 million and an average viewing of around 474k, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the event was a huge success and is optimistic for the future of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports.

While the Indonesian team RRQ Hoshi will be left to stew over and regroup after a poor showing in the finals, RSG Philippines will look to continue its winning streak in the coming tournaments.

Valorant, League of Legends reported to be down

0

Today, around noon, Cloudflare servers faced a global outrage causing many issues around the world, including Riot’s IP Valorant and LoL having connection issues along with the popular VoIP and messaging platform Discord.

Cloudflare is a content delivery network and DDoS mitigation company that acts as a mediator between the end-user (i.e., us) and the servers.

Cloudflare’s services also provide a content delivery network, which helps to provide seamless availability of applications content to the internet. Most IPs use Cloudflare’s DDoS mitigation, ensuring safety from a potential DDoS attack.

Distributed Denial of Service or DDoS is a cyber-attack where the perpetrator floods the servers with requests and tries to overwhelm them to shut them down.

If you don’t know, each server is just like any other computer system, and when the number of requests received reaches beyond its capability, the system may crash, thus disrupting the service.

This is where a DDoS mitigation service comes into the picture. DDoS mitigation is a filter between the internet and the application server, ensuring that the requests reaching the application are legit and not part of a DDoS attack.

The DDoS mitigation uses various techniques to separate genuine human requests from a system or an attacker.

Cloudflare is one such provider of DDoS mitigation and provides the same to various application servers.

Amongst various IPs are Valorant, Discord, League of legend, etc., both employing Cloudflare’s services. At 06:43 AM GMT, when Cloudflare services were disrupted, people worldwide reported issues with their respective applications.

The issue occurred because Cloudflare services were disrupted, thus disrupting the flow of traffic from the internet to the application servers.

Cloudflare has since identified the issue and fixed it by 07:20 AM GMT and reported that they successfully resolved it at 08:06 AM GMT. You can read the whole thread about the issue here.

The disruption has caused an uproar since many companies like Discord, Riot, AWS, Steam, 2KGames, etc., use Cloudflare services. All the services should be back to normal now, as Cloudflare has reported that the issue is resolved.
