Pearl Smokes: Valorant Guide for Smokes on Pearl

The new map Pearl will be released shortly, and it is one of the most simplistic maps in Valorant ever. Without the signature teleporters, ropeways the map follows a very traditional approach. But it would be wrong to say that the map would be easy. It is one of the most strategically demanding maps of Valorant and would require all team members to play together to get that W. 

Looking at the map’s structure, As an attacker, you would need to coordinate your utilities to get into the site and plant. One such most crucial role is of a controller, A controller help to block out certain angles while you attack. Pearl being the map it is, a controller’s role would be crucial. 

With Pearl being an open map and one site having two entries, it would be fascinating to see what agents people use for attacks. Astra with the Gravitational pull, Nova pulse, Nebula and Dissipate would be an excellent addition for taking map control. 

With the map’s size, using two controllers would be a great choice, and Astra is one of them that can help take map control much of efficiently. 


The Cross marks in the map above, show you the smoke positions for multiple attack strategies, 

Lets consider you taking A, 

You’d, in this case, have two primary ways. One is through mid, the other through A main. When you are directly rushing A without contesting for Mid, You can smoke the marks near A-Main, A Flowers and A Secret, While concussing A Dugout with Astra’s Nova Pulse or using Brimstone’s Molly to clear out A Dugout. 

Through mid, you’d have to smoke Mid Doors for taking A while Using utilities to push the player away from A Art. While going towards the site, One has to take care of the Mid Connector player, and using Astra’s Disippate, in this case, would help. Now on-site, you have to smoke A Secret and A Flowers while carefully clearing out the angles. 

A good suggestion would be splitting attackers through A-Main and mid to ensure no corners are unturned.

Now, onto B,

There’re again two entries to the site, One through mid, another through B-Main. While using B main only, there’d be only three smokes you’d have to deploy, One in the window of B tower, While the subsequent two blocking B Halls and B tunnels. 

The tricky part would be taking care of the corners in B Main, B screen and B hall, where a lot of utility is required to flush out the hidden players. 

Through Mid, You’d smoke A Art this time instead. While using the utilities to push back the Mid Doors player, B Link is pretty tricky, and one must be careful of Mid Connector while passing through. Now onto the site, you’d have to Smoke, Tower, Tunnel and hall again. 

It would also be essential to take care of flanks and use the utility efficiently, as most utilities are one-time use. 

On Defense, If you are playing inside the site, You should smoke, A Main and A link, and playing from Behind the A site would garner the required value.

Playing on B smoking the exit of B Club helps you aggress and take active map control on B, but one needs to be aware of a pop flash. While playing from the B site, the Smoking B-link would be enough.


While playing Mid from the front, depending on the position, you should smoke Mid Top or Mid Shops. If you are playing A Art, Smoking Mid Shops would not be efficient as both Mid Plaza ensures your safety for direct contact, and smoking Mid Top would be crucial in blocking the attacker’s vision. 

From Mid Doors, you’d have to smoke mid-shop while peeking Mid Top as Mid Doors are exposed to Mid-top. You can smoke Mid Doors and play connector or B Link if pushed back from it. While if pushed back from A Art, you can Smoke A art and play from either connector or A Link.

The map indeed calls for running multiple controllers or sentinels, especially since there is active flanking potential.

Running Astra/Brimstone, Brimstone/Omen, Astra/Omen would garner a lot of value. As the map gives an advantage on the defensive side, Playing two controllers would be much more efficient than playing two sentinels, saying that playing double Sentinel also makes sense. 

A good duelist on this map would surely be Raze. With her utilities, she can flush out players.

But the most critical way to win this map would be through communications. Speaking Esports-wise, The map would side the teams with effective communication and teamwork

TSM to take legal actions against Godlike Esports in player poaching

The rift between TSM India and GodLike Esports doesn’t seem to go down any time soon. With the news spreading about the “Player Poaching controversy” all over the world. TSM India announced to take legal actions against GodLike Esports after accusing them to poach one of their BGMI players.

The response came after, Godlike Esports announced that they are in the process to file a criminal and civil case against the people who released private chats and made defamatory statements against Godlike Esports.

Arjun “SHADOW” Mandhalkar, was an active member of TSM India’s BGMI roster. With him getting benched by the org, he looked out for other opportunities and joined Godlike Esports. Whereas, TSM India claimed that the player was poached by GodLike Esports and no proper player transfer or loan was done between the orgs.

To give their side of the information, TSM India officials released some private chats. In response to that Godlike Esports issued a statement, “There is constant slandering against GodLike in the media by an organization with whom SHADOW was associated with.

The controversy is being created despite there being none. SHADOW legally terminated his contract by sending a termination letter, post which he approached GodLike. We, at GodLike, followed all the legal and ethical procedures while engaging with SHADOW, as he was not bound by any agreement in existence.”

They further wrote, “They know they are wrong but are harassing us by creating hype on social media platforms. Due to constant slandering on media portals and news channels, we are constrained to make this statement that we are in the process of filing a criminal as well as a civil case against the people who are releasing private chats and making defamatory statements against GodLike.”

TSM India will also be pursuing legal action, they wrote “As of today i.e. 21st June 2022, TSM India will be pursuing legal action. This is about the integrity of competitive esports in India.

Roobet Cup CSGO: List Of Teams Playing

Roobet Cup organized by Relog Media and sponsored by Roobet will be underway in an hour with the clash between BIG and Entropiq to open the tournament while on a parallel stream, Astralis plays Movistar Riders.

The competition involves heavyweights including the most recent IEM Dallas 2022 champions Cloud9 and OG Esports who almost had Natus Vincere on the ropes at the recently concluded BLAST Premier Spring Final. Roobet Cup starts right before the IEM COlogne 2022 and will stress test the current list of up and coming teams who might feature in the play-in of the annual marquee tournament of ESL.

Opening match-ups came in pre-determined by the event organizer with Cloud9 to take over their North American counterparts Complexity while FaZe Clan lock horns against a new look OG roster featuring Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar and Maciej “F1KU” Miklas who made it to the playoffs on their debut at BLAST Premier Spring.

A total of 16 teams will contest for the mid-season cup as the Champion will take home the prize money of $150,000 USD. Teams have been divided into four groups from A-D and the top two from each group will advance further onto the playoffs. All matches will be played out in the Best of 3 format including the Grand Finals as well.

Team Liquid sign YEKINDAR as stand-in for IEM Cologne 2022

North American roster Team Liquid will use the services of Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis at the forthcoming IEM Cologne 2022, the organization announced today on their Twitter handle. This is the second change under the Liquid camp which comes after signing Damian “daps” Steele for their head coach role.

YEKINDAR might have been the last resort for Team Liquid as they were indeed successful in finding a last minute scramble to lock their roster right before the deadline regulations set by ESL and Intel Extreme Masters.

The Latvian will replace Richard “shox” Papillon with whom Liquid parted ways with alongside their coach Eric “adreN” Hoag in the wake of lackluster showings across the past year.

Most expensive CSGO Inventory Scammed

The most expensive inventory in the history of Counter Strike : Global Offensive till date has been scammed following the details of the alleged Steam account being compromised a week ago.

CS:GO Skin trader Mark, who goes by the handle @ohnePixel on Twitter, has brought to the community’s attention a scam which saw his colleague’s most expensive inventory in Counter Strike:Global Offensive getting scammed by a Steam user named “caseapia”. The latter had changed the victim user’s details integrated into his Steam ID which included the Email ID and Password without getting notified of the same.

The reported incident saw around 7 Souvenir Dragon Lores getting jacked alongside a no-star Karambit and a plethora of Blue gems as suggested by ohnePixel himself. As of today, a single Souvenir Dragon Lore of Well Worn Quality would put a dent of an approximate figurette of $30,000 USD.

Let that alone, no specific details have been disclosed of the alleged scam but if we figure out the total estimate of the incident, the victim has been dealt a gruesome blow of $2,000,000 USD.

As said by ohnePixel, over half of the items have been quick-sold on the market while the rest have been traded off and are currently awaiting the usual trade hold to lift off.

Update: After a day full of speculations and tribulations, the Steam account hack which saw HFB aka caseapia who had the most expensive CS:GO inventory till date get compromised headlined a gruesome amount of $2,000,000 USD worth in-game items scammed.

Through a Tweet history by Twitch streamer and CS:GO skin trader, @zipelCS, there has been more light shed on the incident where zipel speaks about the details of the scam and its aftermath. The trades containing HFB’s items were undone by Steam support while missing out on a Dragon Lore which was reportedly moved to a storage unit by the Steam User who had bought it. zipel suggests that he is the only person who still have the hacked items in his possessions (2x Souvenir Dragon Lores)

A major point of concern over here is, what about the buyers who actually got the items for real money and with the trades getting reverted by Steam, will they be getting a full refund? A total of $200,000+ USD was invested by people who had no clue about these items across the Chinese and Russian markets. The BUFF marketplace which deals in-game items in exchange of the Yuan currency has made a statement which has promised to refund if Steam decides to roll back 3 pairs of Factory New condition gloves.

PUBG Mobile Vehicle Skin Design Contest: How to participate

PUBG Mobile has announced a new skin contest that will let the players show their own creativity and design skills to model a new vehicle skin using the provided templates. Players that have some designing expertise have time till 14th August to design their own car skin that might be put into the game. Check out how you can take part in this contest.

PUBG Mobile is known to bring different elements to the game to make it more immersive but this time, they have upscaled this experience by letting the community come up with the future designs of skins.

According to a post made by their official Twitter handle, players can download a template and start designing a car skin. Player ID and outfit name should be mentioned on the front and back design. The size should be from 500KB to 2MB in .PNG or .JPG format and the final work should be uploaded on the link given below:

Apex Legends Update 1.98 Patch Notes

The developers of the popular battle royale title Apex Legends have confirmed that the update 1.98 is going to be released soon along with the Awakening Collection Event. According to the officials, the update along with the new collection will be live at 10 AM PT / 6 PM BST on 21st June.

IMC ARMORY UPDATES

  • Fixed an exploit allowing players to throw grenades or use an Ash ult to enter through a hole in the collision mesh of the Armories roof (Hotfix).
  • Fixed an issue where you would become unable to mantle after using the teleporter under the Armory (Hotfix).
  • Prevented Tridents from landing on top of Armories.
  • Removed Gold Loot Roller reward at Wave 8.
  • Decreased chances of hop-ups spawning through the Smart Loot system. Base hop-up spawn rate is now 50% with Gold hop-ups further reduced to 20%.
  • Smart Loot is no longer generated for teammates outside the Armory.

  • Weapons and Abilities will now only stow in an OOB trigger when the player is on the ground (OOB timer will still tick up).

Diminishing Kill Values:

Currently the first three eliminations are worth about 100%. The subsequent three are worth about 80%, and anything after that is worth about 20%. We are changing it so each squad is worth about 20% less, while maintaining a minimum of 20%.  This will give winning teams with high eliminations about 40 to 60 more RP.

GAME BUG FIXES

  • Crypto can now scan Survey Beacons with his Drone while riding the Trident.
  • Fixed bug for cases where Newcastle could get stuck in the air for a few seconds when using his Ultimate while ensnared by Ash’s tactical.
