Marci has a canonical reason for being in the game while Fymryn and Kaden aren’t. This also leaves the door open for a new Dota 2 hero to become available if they decide to check out the game.

After a certain point in DOTA: Dragon’s Blood Book 3, a teenage version of Filomena essentially takes over as the primary focus of the narrative. As part of her adventure, she creates an intriguing new piece of canon for Dota 2 to incorporate.
