Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez steps down from G2 Esports as CEO

G2 Esports CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez Santiago caught social media on fire with a video of Andrew Tate. Following the backlash, G2 and the Supervisory Board came to the conclusion that ocelote would be suspended for a period of eight weeks and that compensation would be withheld during that time.

It wasn’t a good look for a CEO who just signed a female League club and pledged to diversity, but it wasn’t the final straw. Carlos chose one of the worst times to spark a scandal, as Riot was about to announce its Valorant league partners. It was decided that 30 clubs would be split among three leagues, and most people thought that G2 would be chosen for the Americas League.

Unfortunately for Carlos, G2 as a business, and its employees, Riot is taking a harsh position on social issues, especially misogyny and sexual harassment, after their legal issues, which resulted in G2 losing its spot in the Valorant league.

This caused a lot of resentment from the community, not just because G2 has a large fanbase, but also because they were in talks with American org XSET to pick up their lineup. As a result of G2 being eliminated from contention for a league spot, XSET players have found themselves without a team, and a number of players have taken to the internet to vent their dissatisfaction.

 As promised, G2 has just revealed on its Twitter account that Carlos has made the decision to step down from his job as CEO. G2 also let its supporters know that they are dedicated to diversity and inclusivity and that they do not condone misogyny in any form.

In a video that he shared on his Twitter account, Carlos broke the news that he would be leaving G2. Carlos is the founder of G2 Esports, which was formerly known as Gamers2 and he has been a part of the organization for the past eight years. In the video, Carlos reflects on his time spent at G2 and expresses that feeling.

“I will be stepping down from my CEO position. Which I know might be a shocker for some of you. This is a very hard ending to what has been an otherwise very meaningful and joyful experience”. Carlos continued, “I take full responsibility for everything that went on in the last few days”

How was G2 Esports formed?

According to what Carlos explains in his video. G2 is his project for after he retired from football, and he “bootstrapped” it with his own money.

Carlos “ocelote” Rodrguez Santiago started G2 Esports as a League of Legends team when it was first established, however, the company has since expanded into several other games. In October of 2015, the company became known as G2 Esports after undergoing a name change.

Rainbow Six Siege team for G2 participates in the European League (EUL), the top level in Europe. They won the Six Major 2018 and more. Their CS:GO team is one of the best, but most of their achievements were before the year 2020.

However, the most valuable item in G2 may be found in one of Riot Games’s other games. The League of Legends squad owned and operated by G2 is widely considered to be the finest in the Western region.

Due to technical difficulties, Valorant players located in Mumbai are unable to connect to the server at this time. Riot Games is trying to find a solution as more gamers can’t play due to unexplained causes.

Players who are already participating in the game are unable to join a queue on the Mumbai servers, and other players are reporting random crashes while they are in the middle of the game. Players trying to log in to the Riot client to play the game can’t because an error prompts them to try again later.

When attempting to play Riot’s first-person shooter, players in a large number of other regions, in addition to those in Mumbai, are encountering the same problem.

To check and troubleshoot your issues, you can gather the information mostly from the official Valorant Twitter handle. The social media account is fairly active and they address the issues most often.

Players who attempt to log in to the Valorant servers are receiving an error message of unknown origin. The cause of this error is currently unknown. Riot servers have stopped responding to numerous areas.

If your issue is already addressed by the Valorant, rest assured that the server will be back up soon. Riot Games has a Service Status page for all of its titles.

A video was recently uploaded to Reddit by a user going by the name u/RomonRohit789; this was done in light of the fact that the problem also forced his teammate to exit the game. A significant number of players are under the impression that the issue is related to cloud storage space.

Valorant 5.07 PBE Patch Notes: Reyna, Yoru Buff and More

Riot Games is currently working on patch 5.07 for the Valorant game. The game’s developers have hinted at the possibility of character alterations being made in the State of the Agents, and such alterations may soon be made available in the live version of the game.

Despite the lack of a release date, readers may get a sense of the modifications coming to Valorant from the PBE notes.

Riot Games has big plans for Valorant and plans to make the game even better. At this time, much of the focus is being directed toward the agents, specifically Reyna, Kay/O, Skye, and Yoru.

It is anticipated that they will benefit from the new adjustments. On September 23 at 4:00 p.m. PDT/ 4:30 a.m. IST, the 5.07 Public Beta Environment became live.

Within the PBE version, 5.07 are Valorant’s Reyna, Yoru, Skye, and KAY/O.

The developers said numerous Duelists with flash powers have been exceeded by Initiators in flash kills. Skye and KAY/O are better at aggressive 1v1s than Yoru, Phoenix, or Reyna, who the devs expect to thrive.

Keeping this in mind, the devs have decided to make some significant and long-overdue adjustments to the Agents. These modifications are intended to make Skye and KAY/collaboration O’s more effective while simultaneously reducing the effectiveness of both when employed separately.

Riot Games also wants to increase the incentive for players to spend more time perfecting their flash skills, and they plan to do this by adding new flash talents. The developers consider Initiators should be able to use flashes solo as Duelists, although they should be weaker. Two of the Skye and KAY/O modifications are missing from this PBE build but will be in Patch 5.07.

The following is a list of the alterations that Riot Games is experimenting with for the Initiators:

Skye :

  • Guiding Light (E) flashbang scaling paradigm changed
  • The max flash duration of Skye’s Guiding Light now scales from 1.25s to 2.25s over a .75s charge up after being cast
  • Guiding Light can no longer be shot and destroyed
  • New VFX, UI, and sounds added to communicate new gameplay intent
  • [Not in PBE] Unequip Delay out of Guiding Light increased .75s >>> .85s


KAY/O :

FLASH/DRIVE (Q)

  • Underhand (right-click) flashbang max duration decreased 2s>>>1.25s
  • Overhand (left-click) flashbang max duration increased 2s>>>2.25s
  • [Not in PBE] Unequip Delay out of both flashes decreased .6s >>> .85s

Reyna and Yoru

Here are the changes that the devs are testing for the Duelists in Valorant:

Reyna : 

Leer

  • Wind-up of nearsight effect increased .6s >>> .4s
  • Range Restriction on Leer removed
  • Nearsight unequip delay decreased: .7 >>> .5
  • Nearsight unequip delay set to “Instant”
  • Duration decreased 2.6s >>> 2.0
  • Yoru
  • BLINDSIDE (Q) duration increased 1.5s >>>1.75s
  • Flash Visual Updates
  • 3P visuals for flashed enemies and allies now render behind the player’s head the moment that the flash starts to fade. This should give a clearer indication if players are full flashed or if the flash has started to fade.
  • 1P visuals, when fully flashed, now shrink overtime to give a better indication of when the full flash will end and the flash fading out will begin.
  • Increased the window for awarding assists on flashes, nearsights, and concusses from one >>> three seconds after the debuff starts to fade.


Bug fixes in PBE :

Valorant Agent bug fixes that are introduced in the PBE are mentioned below:

  • Fixed issue where KAY/O’s NULL/CMD disabled Killjoy’s Turret if the turret is hit by a pulse, but Killjoy is not.
  • Fixed issue where Killjoy’s Turret fires straight forward after firing at an enemy and then losing sight of them.
  • Fixed issue where Killjoy’s Turret would fire with no target when coming online if it was disabled while firing at a target.
  • Fixed a bug where Phoenix would not automatically re-equip a weapon at the end of Run It Back.
  • Fixed Breach’s Rolling Thunder showing dead enemies hit in the combat report.
  • Fixed issue where if a player was deafened by multiple sources when the first deafen ended, it removed the deafening effect completely.
  • Reduced the size of the hologram on the body marker that shows up when dead bodies are turned off.


Updates to the Progression system in Valorant are mentioned below:


Favorites and filters : 

  • Added the ability to favorite gun skins, Player cards, Sprays, Gun Buddies, and level borders (favorites persist until un-favorited)
  • Added the ability to filter your collection (filters persist until next login)
  • Gun skins: Owned/Unowned, Favorites/Non-Favorites, Tiers (Select, Deluxe, Premium, Ultra, Exclusive)
  • All others: Owned/Unowned, Favorites/Non-Favorites


Random favorites : 

  • In addition to being able to sort through your weapon collection and set your favorite weapons, you can now equip the Random Favorite for every weapon type. This will ensure that each game you play, you get one of your favorite weapons, along with one of the variants that you own, at random every time you enter a match.

Sc0ut says “BGMI unban before December is dicey”

BGMI ban has been discussed passively in the community for the past few days as no new official updates were given by Krafton or Indian government sources. Sc0ut, one of the biggest BGMI creators of all time, recently addressed the topic very rationally on his stream to keep misleads to a minimum and saying that BGMI return before December is dicey.

BGMI was banned by the Indian government over its privacy and user data concerns. There was also an issue where BGMI was said to be linked with China, making it eligible for a ban order that was similar to what was seen with PUBG Mobile.

The game is not officially stated as being banned but the developers are barred from openly distributing the game, basically making it impossible for Krafton to provide the game to new users or give any update to existing users.

Sc0ut and other members from the BGMI community have been supporting the decision made by officials and have been providing very useful insights on this matter. A similar instance was seen today when Sc0ut shared some new information and urged his audience to not take any false hope about the game coming back on a certain date.

According to his clip, he explained that putting out a certain date or month will only create unnecessary hype in the community but for now, it is dicey for BGMI to return before December.

Officials have not revealed any new information apart from the acknowledgement by Krafton that mentioned that they were in the process of resolving this issue in India.

GTA 6 leaker has been arrested in London: Rumours

A 17-year-old was arrested in Oxfordshire for hacking, according to the City of London Police.

There is currently a rumor circulating on social media that the individual responsible for the leak of 90 videos of Grand Theft Auto VI might have been arrested.

It has been verified by the City of London Police that a male suspect aged 17 has been detained in Oxfordshire on suspicion of hacking.

The City of London Police is the force in charge of maintaining order in the financial district known as the City of London. They are not responsible for maintaining order in the city of London itself. They are also accountable for conducting investigations into cases of service breaches and internet fraud.

Even though it hasn’t been confirmed that this person has been arrested for the breaches at Rockstar Games and Uber, the information we have connects with who we believe to be responsible.

The individual known as “White,” who is suspected of hacking into Microsoft, Nvidia, and Samsung, was previously detained in December 2021 and charged with allegedly breaking into those companies after their former associates doxxed them.

On the other hand, the fresh hacks were distributed on the GTAForums by teapottuberhacker, who is thought to be the same person as White. They also asserted that they had broken into Uber, which was something that was reported by sources for Keys.

Lapsus$ is the name of the group that was responsible for the hacking. The proprietor of the organization is a young man from Oxfordshire who is only 17 years old. Earlier this year, the City of London Police detained and released him on bail after discovering that he had amassed more than £10 million by hacking corporations such as Microsoft and Samsung, among others.

Additionally, the Rockstar Games leaker was doxed, which identified him as the 16-year-old teenager from Oxfordshire who was responsible for the crimes mentioned earlier. Both the City of London Police and the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom would be responsible for conducting an investigation into the security breach involving Rockstar Games.

The most prominent footage shows the reported Bonnie and Clyde-like duo (apparently named Lucia and Jason) robbing a diner and exercising crowd control before the authorities arrive. A second video shows a figure strolling with a pistol in their hand and a rifle on their back, suggesting Rockstar will use the Red Dead Redemption 2 inventory system that only lets you carry two weapons.

Journalists are also stating that their sources suggest the 17-year-old child has been arrested for hacking Rockstar Games assets and accessing them illegally.
