Xbox Cloud Gaming time limits are coming to Xbox Game Pass starting in November 2026. Why Is Xbox Adding Cloud Gaming Time Limits
Microsoft says the change comes down to cost. In its Xbox Wire post, the company said running cloud gaming gets more expensive as more people use it and stream for longer sessions. Moving to monthly limits, it said, lets Xbox keep offering the service while continuing to invest in reliability and performance.
Xbox expects the change to affect around 4% of Game Pass subscribers, suggesting most players already stream well under the new limits.
