Abyss is returning to Valorant’s competitive map pool with the game’s next Act, as per recent leaks from multiple sources.
According to multiple prominent Valorant dataminers and leakers, Abyss will replace Breeze in the competitive rotation for the Valorant V26 Act 5 update.
Should the leaks turn out to be true, the competitive map pool for Valorant V26 Act 5 would include the following maps:
- Abyss
- Ascent
- Haven
- Lotus
- Split
- Summit
- Sunset
For the unaware, Breeze was most recently added back to the competitive map pool with the Valorant Season 26 Act 1 patch, which went live around January 6, 2026, roughly seven months prior to this change. On the other hand, Abyss got removed from the Valorant map pool in March 2026.
The upcoming Valorant Champions 2026 event, which is the biggest annual tournament for the tactical shooter, will also be played on the aforementioned map pool. Whether the new Act will bring any balance changes to the game remains to be seen.
When is Abyss Returning to Valorant?
As mentioned earlier, Abyss will return to Valorant with the upcoming V26A5 update, which is expected to release on August 17, 2026. Breeze will depart the competitive map pool on the same date.
