Valorant Pro Pyth Leaves G2 to Join Bleed esports

The former CSGO pro who retired in 2020 to pursue Valorant has decided to relocate to SEA after leaving G2 esports. He will join Singapore based org Bleed esports as part of their 6 man Valorant roster.

Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi will be joining Bleed esports effective immediately. He has been a free agent since November 2021, after being released from his G2 esports contract.

He joined G2 in June 2020, after retiring from CSGO, when the org forayed into flashy new FPS Valorant and played with them for a year. When ‘keloqz’ was signed, pyth was benched and in November this year he was released to pursue other projects.

He announced via twitter that he will be relocating to Singapore, to be a part of his new org. Bleed esports has a core of 4 Singaporean players, and they decided to go international as they transition into a 6 man roster. The Swedish pro was signed along with Max ‘maxie’ Lönnström, another former CSGO pro who now plies his trade in Valorant.

Pyth has previously played for orgs like Luminosity Gaming, Chaos and most famously for Ninjas in Pyjamas alongside f0rest and GeT_RiGhT and won DreamHack Malmo 2016 with them as well as IEM Oakland 2016. He didnt see much success in competitive Valorant and his best finish with G2 was 3-4th place at First Strike Europe back in 2020. He spent most of 2021 inactive.

Pyth will be moving to Singapore to join his new team. The Bleed esports roster now looks like:

  • Lee Jun ‘LEXY’ Hao Xavier
  • Darren Mok ‘FirstLove’ Yong Xiang
  • Lim You ‘lenne’ Xiang Lionel
  • Derrick ‘Deryeon’ Yee
  • Jacob ‘pyth’ Mourujärvi
