Sentinels star Jay ‘Sinatraa’ Jon revealed through a tweet dated October 15th that he had seriously injured his right eye with a resistance band while working out. Luckily, he’s expected to fully recover from the injury.

The injury resulted in him being left temporarily blind for three hours. “Hit my right eye rly hard with a resistance band and had to go to the ER because I went fully blind for like 3 hrs,” the 20-year-old said. “Got lucky and only a lot of scratches, bruising/blood on my retina and they said I would most likely recover in a week or 2 so no streams boys.”

He further elaborated that the resistance band which weighed 50 pounds slipped from his feet and shot up when trying to curl it.

While eye injuries can prove to be disastrous for any professional gamer, it seems like luck was on the side of Sinatraa this time as he is expected to fully recover from the injury in only a couple of weeks.

Sentinels’ fans will certainly be looking forward to seeing Sinatraa back in competitive play after his recovery.

While Sinatraa has proven his proficiency at Valorant countless times in front of the world, he was also a celebrated Overwatch pro and the winner of Overwatch League 2019 along with his team San Francisco Shock. He was also crowned as the Overwatch League MVP at the time.
