Former FaZe Clan star and Team Liquid coach Rafael ‘mav’ Loureiro Freitas has been suspended over allegations of domestic violence which the 27 year old denied saying they are nothing but twisted narratives.
6 months into his new position in Team Liquid, mav has been slammed with a suspension, after a Twitter user who reportedly is his former partner publicized his behavior towards her.
SilverMistR6 before taking down her account tweet out stating he slammed her against the while drunk during his tenure under FaZe Clan. Liquid suspended mav within 24 hours of these allegations surfacing.
“These are extremely concerning and serious allegations. We want to assure the community and those who raised these concerns that we are investigating thoroughly, and all work with Mav has been suspended until we complete our investigation” read the statement.
“Guys, I said yes I was wrong to push my ex, you shouldn’t push ANYONE, period, but it was not as pictured, but of course I will always be canceled and have to read things as an abuser when I pushed her away, finally good night everyone” read mav’s statement.
By the looks of it, mav is essentially agreeing to the claims of his former partner, but at the same time defends himself by saying “it was not as pictured”. In the statement, mav can be seen apologizing to her before saying he was wrong to abuse her. Team Liquid will be conducting an internal investigation following which a verdict will be handed out. As it stands, mav is suspended for an indefinite period.
