Rockstar Games has not released the GTA 6 trophy and achievement list, and with ten days to go before launch, that is unusual. The only number doing the rounds is an unconfirmed report of 55 trophies, made up of 54 regular trophies and one platinum on PS5, or a top-tier achievement on Xbox.
Here is what is known, what is still only a claim, and how GTA 6 compares with Rockstar’s past games.

How many trophies does GTA 6 have?
There is no official answer yet. The 55 figure comes from the fan account GTAVI_Countdown, which posted it on November 7 and credited an unnamed source. No trophy names, descriptions or Gamerscore values have been shared, and neither Rockstar nor Sony or Microsoft has confirmed it.
| Detail | Status |
|---|---|
| Total trophies | 55 reported, unconfirmed |
| Platinum trophy (PS5) | Expected, included in the reported 55 |
| Top-tier achievement (Xbox) | Expected, included in the reported 55 |
| Trophy names and descriptions | Not revealed |
| Hidden trophies | Unknown |
If the count is right, it is a little higher than Rockstar’s recent games, but in the same range. Most big open-world titles land somewhere between 40 and 60 trophies.
On Xbox, the top reward could be one of Microsoft’s new Mythic achievements, the rare tier with its own symbol and unlock sound. We explained how Xbox Mythic achievements work when Microsoft revealed them. Rockstar has not confirmed GTA 6 will use one.
Why the list is still hidden
Rockstar used to be open about trophies. It published achievement lists on its Newswire for Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3, each more than a month before launch. For its two biggest games since then, the lists never came from Rockstar at all. GTA V’s list surfaced unofficially about a month before release in 2013, and Red Dead Redemption 2’s appeared on PSNProfiles around two weeks before launch, according to a timeline compiled by fan site GTAVice.
GTA 6 has now passed that two-week mark with nothing. The most likely reason is simple. Trophy names and descriptions often give away story beats, side activities and endings, and Rockstar has kept a tight grip on GTA 6 spoilers. A full list would hand dataminers and leakers a road map of the game.
When will the GTA 6 trophy list be revealed?
The list will be public by launch at the latest. Trophy lists usually appear on PlayStation and Xbox once a game’s data goes live on their servers, and pre-loading is the most likely moment for that to happen. Our guide to GTA 6 pre-load and unlock times covers when that starts in each region.
Expect the full list to spread quickly once it lands. Trophy tracking sites such as PSNProfiles and Exophase pick up new lists within hours, and the community will start mapping out a platinum route almost immediately.
Should you wait before chasing the platinum?
If you care about trophies, it is worth knowing what is missable before you start the story. Rockstar games often include one-time choices, timed missions and collectibles tied to specific chapters. Until the list is out, a safe approach is to explore side content as you go rather than rushing the main missions.
Players hoping to start early with the New Zealand region trick should also note that trophies earned on a second account stay on that account. If your platinum matters to you, earn it on your main profile.
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We will update this article with the full trophy list as soon as it is confirmed.
