Wardogs Season 3 Release Date Revealed: New Map, Improved Anti-Cheat, and More

Despite starting off strong with an incredibly successful first season, Bulkhead’s all-out tactical warfare title Wardogs didn’t exactly have the smoothest Season 2. From a failed “Lonestar Needs You” campaign to changes that effectively killed cross-region gameplay for many players, Season 2 of Wardogs saw the devs make multiple missteps, which was promptly reflected in the game’s player numbers on Steam.

Fortunately, the devs behind Wardogs have been pretty vocal about addressing their mistakes. According to a dev log shared by Bulkhead on November 6th, a good portion of the missteps in Season 2 were caused by giving in to player complaints too quickly.

“Both we, the developers, and you, as the players, must hold strong and not speedrun fixes to appease the loudest voices,” the devs said. “The perfect example of what happens if you react too quickly is Season 2.”

Alongside addressing the past mistakes, Bulkhead finally shed light on the release date for Wardogs Season 3 via the dev log, while also confirming some of the changes the game will be getting with its next major update.

Wardogs Season 3 Release Date Revealed

Bulkhead has confirmed that the highly anticipated Wardogs Season 3 will go live on November 12, 2026, and it will bring with it a number of crucial changes to the title, aimed at fixing some of the damage caused by the past season.

Season 3 will be considerably larger than Season 2, giving players more time to progress through the game at their own pace.

“We effectively removed one of the things that made Season 1 so satisfying to so many players: the journey,” Bulkhead said. “We were too aggressive with the changes, and that’s on us.”

The devs then proceeded to share what the next Season has in store for the game’s player base, and there’s a lot to unpack.

Wardogs Season 3 Changes: New Map, Anti-Cheat Improvements, Multi-Track Unlocks, and More

Wardogs Season 3 is all set to introduce a brand-new map to the shooter. The map, named Sabatulo, will feature an urban setting where players can expect to engage in constant close-quarters combat with the other two teams.

“We can’t recreate that feeling of Season 1 launch where every player was collectively learning the game,” the devs said, when talking about the new map. “But with a brand-new season, slightly longer early to mid-game progression, and everyone learning the new map at the same time, this will be the best chance before the end of the year to re-experience the feeling that made you care about Wardogs in the first place.”

Another major highlight of Wardogs Season 3 is the multi-track unlock feature. Currently, each item can only be unlocked through one specific track: some are locked behind Assault, others behind Support, and so on. This was frustrating for certain players who, for instance, were chasing a particular type of ammo, since it could be buried deep in a track they had no interest in progressing.

Starting Season 3, several items will be locked behind more than one progression track, giving players more freedom to play the game in ways they want to.

The anti-cheat system of Wardogs is also getting a massive improvement with the next season. The first two seasons saw cheaters running rampant, with bots constantly advertising cheat websites in chat. Cheats like wallhacks and aimbots were also not uncommon.

Bulkhead has confirmed that they’ve already started combating cheaters by implementing large ban waves, and that they’ll continue to do so with their new anti-cheat. As per the devs, the new anti-cheat will be “one of the world’s most anti-cheat systems,” and it’s expected to wipe out cheaters at a much faster pace than before.
