Krafton Reportedly Banned 50,000 BGMI Accounts on a Single Day for Hacking

Since the relaunch of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) in May 2023, the game has been marred with a persistent problem – cheaters, or commonly referred as hackers. Although this is not a new problem, the amount of hackers is increasing at an exponential rate, rendering the game unplayable. Hackers erode the competitive spirit of the game. Furthermore, with the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 going on, this problem has become a curse to the underdog players.

Popular Indian content creator Aaditya “Dynamo” Sawant recently unveiled a shocking revelation regarding hackersin Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). According to Dynamo, Krafton, the developer behind BGMI, reportedly banned a massive count of 50,000 BGMI accounts in a single day for hacking. The developer took this step to combat the persistent issue of hacking in BGMI.

Dynamo Claims Krafton Banned 50,000 BGMI Accounts on a Single Day for Hacking

The battle against hackers in online gaming has been a long-standing and relentless one. The competitive integrity of games like BGMI hinges on fair play and skill-based competition. However, the persistent surge of hackers has been a thorn in the side of both players and developers.

In a recent livestream, Dynamo stated that he had received a message from Krafton revealing that it had taken a monumental step by banning a staggering 50,000 accounts on 24th August. While this revelation highlights the step taken by Krafton to solve the hacking issue, it also highlights the magnitude of the issue.

Krafton’s decision to ban such a substantial number of accounts sends a clear message – hacking will not be tolerated. As the developer, Krafton holds the responsibility of upholding the integrity of the game and ensuring a fair gaming experience. Additionally, by taking such action, it is clear that they are actively working on to eradicate this issue.

However, there still lies a probability that these hackers will return again with a different account. This raises a major question – is banning the accounts of hackers enough? Many among the BGMI community have been demanding Krafton to ban the device along with the account. Banning the device will rapidly eradicate the issue as hackers will have to use a different device to reuse hacks. It will be interesting to see what more steps Krafton will take to solve this persistent problem.
