Free Fire India Championship announced with a whopping ₹50,00,000 prize pool

Free Fire announced Free Fire India Championship(FALL) 2020 which is going to be the biggest Free Fire esports tournament in India. PayTM First Games has sponsored this event to bring in a huge prize pool of ₹50,00,000 (~66,630 USD).

Free Fire India Championship(Fall) will be the second edition of the tournament in this year. Free Fire India Championship 2020 first circuit was won by Entity Gaming and had a prize pool of 3,60,000INR. Free Fire managed to rise the bars for their own tournaments by bring such a huge prize pool in its next edition which is going to be sponsored by Paytm First Games and organized by Garena.

Players can register in this tournament from between 13th to 16th August. The mode of registration is available in-game according to the official post and the further qualification details are yet to be announced. The playoffs will begin from 16th August from 16:00 to 21:00 IST.

Free Fire has been actively trying to enhance their esports side and emerge as a prominent title alongside other famous battle-royale game that are recently on a rise in Asian region. Free Fire is immensely popular in western region and their esports future in India did not look as promising as compared to PUBG Mobile. Announcing such a big tournament along with new sponsors and big prize money may set them on tracks to compete more efficiently in esports category.

Free Fire recently held two tournaments; the open-for-all Free Fire Brawlers Bash and invitational “FFBB Final Clash” but the prize was some in-game diamonds and no real money. Free Fire India Championship is the next major title for the Indian region.
