As Fortnite players are getting ready to say goodbye to Chapter 6 Season 2, the developers have revealed new map details for the upcoming season. While Epic Games does not tend to revamp the entire map, every season brings incremental but meaningful changes. With Season 3, the developers are collaborating with Star Wars. Season 3 will be titled Galactic Battle, which represents a major crossover with the world of Star Wars. Although the update adds a few new POIs, it is worth mentioning that most of the current locations in Season 2 carry over, but with theming changes.
POI Changes in Chapter 6 Season 3
The new update brings four significant new locations, all based on the Star Wars universe:
- First Order Base: Located in the northeast, this base takes the place of the Demon’s Dojo. High-level loot and tough combat make it an ideal location for early-game activity.
- Resistance Base: Located in the northwest, this base takes over Hopeful Heights. Featuring classic Rebel architecture, it offers strategic vantage points and is equipped with ziplines and ascenders, facilitating dynamic vertical gameplay.
- Vader Samurai’s Solitude: In the central-east area, this location supersedes Shogun’s Solitude. The name suggests a fusion of Darth Vader’s presence with samurai aesthetics, hinting at potential in-game events or challenges related to the Sith Lord.
- Outpost Enclave: Located in the southeast corner, this enclave takes the place of Whiffy Wharf. It provides small quarters with rich loot, perfect for close-quarters combat fans.
To accommodate the new additions, several locations from Season 2 have been removed:

- Hopeful Heights
- Shogun’s Solitude
- Whiffy Wharf
These eliminations make way for the new Star Wars-themed POIs, restructuring the island’s strategic landscape.
