Heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold has been linked with Fortnite for a collaboration since November and fans have been eagerly waiting for them to arrive in the game.
The wait is finally over as the band has announced that their collaboration with Epic Games is dropping on 12th Jan PT on X, albeit many assuming the wait to continue till the conclusion of this chapter which isn’t until early March. The announcement comes with a trailer that teases new maps but anything further is yet to be unveiled.
Despite the teaser, the specifics of the collaboration have been a well-kept secret and it will be difficult to assume what the developers have in store for us. From the trailer, it is safe to assume that we will get custom maps that sit right with the theme of the band but something along the lines of a live concert in-game or new music would be too farfetched to assume.
Avenged Sevenfold has been one of the era-defining bands of our time and Fortnite has a reputation for collaborating with big names. Fans love collaborations, not only does it take away the monotony from the game, but fresh content is a way to keep the players hooked.
