Cloakzy leaves FaZe Clan

Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore on Twitter has announced his departure from FaZe Clan as its Content Creator.

Cloakzy, an Esports sensation who previously led FaZe Clan’s Fortnite roster and later switched to streaming Call of Duty: Warzone, yet another battle royale from Activision has been released from the European – American Organization after a 4-year stint, the 25-year-old announced today. He stated,

“I want to apologize for everything negative I’ve said about FaZe Clan as we worked through my contract. I am grateful for everything they’ve done for me, and am happy we have come to an agreement to part ways. I wish nothing but the best for everyone over at FaZe.”

The reason behind his departure is a dispute between his and FaZe Clan’s Contract where the two parties failed to jump out on a conclusion that resulted in the former event. It is known that the dispute had been under the scanner since 2019 and since then had been sidelined as FaZe wanted to stick around the streamer.

This dispute does resemble a previous contract failure between FaZe and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney who used to create content for the former. Tfue joined FaZe Clan in April 2018, where the agreement between the two allegedly allowed the organization to scoop 80% of the player’s income and in due course prevented the streamer from acquiring sponsorships without FaZe’s consent. This indeed was later resolved as the contract was dissolved on a mutual basis. Tfue also reached out to the community on the basis of a YouTube video while he was in the process to leave FaZe.

With Cloakzy’s departure, FaZe haven’t yet released an official word regarding the former’s future but now that the streamer is a free agent, there lies a heavy probability that he will be picked up by other potential prospects due to his fame across the streamer community.
