Ex6TenZ and Smithzz to be replaced in G2 – Report

Via FRAGlider

According to a report by VPEsports, Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans and Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux are set to be replaced by the 3D Max duo of Audric “JACKZ” Jug and Lucas “Lucky” Chastang.

The French roster is set to replace the players they had initially added in June, who had then replaced the duo of Nathan “NBK” Schmitt and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, and now find themselves under the firing line.

After a string of poor performances including a loss in the legends stage of the FACEIT Major, and subpar performances more recently at ESL One New York 2018 and cs_summit 3, while also languishing at the bottom of the table in ECS Season 6, the team feels that the roster required some freshening up, with newer talent with more firepower.

Replacing them would be the two 3DMAX players Lucky and JaCkz, who are younger players with more energy, potential and firepower. Lucky is a hybrid awper, who has had an HLTV rating of 1.16 in the past 3 months and been the star of his team, while JaCkz, a slightly older player at 26, has had stints at EnVyuS Academy and is said to be a consistent fragger.

This also means that contract negotiations with Kenny “kennyS” Schrub have progressed and he is set to sign an extension soon. Earlier, we had reported that the star awper had stalled contract negotiations, due to him being unhappy with the performance of his team.

The only question that remains is the role of the IGL, which was taken up by Ex6TenZ. While shox has shown in the past that he can be one, his numbers have taken up a hit, and while Lucky has shown in 3D Max that he can assist the IGL very well, the next few matches of the new roster will give a more clear picture.

G2 Esports should soon be:
