Dota 2: Muerta Announced as New Hero

MUTERA DOTA2

As promised, Valve released Dota 2’s next hero before The International 2022, albeit the timing could have been better.

The International 2022 has at long last presented its very first shocking revelation. In a teaser that aired right before The Grand Finals of TI11, Valve unveiled the next hero that would be added to the game.

Muerta Dota 2

According to the teasers that Valve has released, the hero’s name is “Muerta,” and she will be making her appearance at the beginning of 2023. This suggests that the hero will not be added to the game until after the first major patch that follows the first tour of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC) season that will take place in 2022–2023.

In the early part of 2023, a spectral gunslinger named Muerta who has connections to both the physical and the spiritual realms will be joining the roster. And despite the fact that we were able to see her sick design and the stadium in Singapore was lit up with colors that matched it, that was all the information that we were provided.

The reveal wasn’t even timed correctly; SirActionSlacks merely threw the broadcast from a disastrous All-Star Showmatch finish to the short trailer before the announcers immediately pivoted back to talking about Tundra Esports and Team Secret.

Fans are already getting excited about what this new hero will bring to the table, and perhaps what her obviously Day of the Dead-inspired look could hint about her toolbox, despite the fact that these drawbacks exist.

It is possible that the release of The Mournful Revenant will occur in the early part of 2023, perhaps to coincide with the conclusion of the 2022 Battle Pass on January 12; nevertheless, this schedule is quite doubtful.

“An enduring revenant reveals herself with promises of a ruinous reckoning to follow,” said the announcement. “Pierce the veil between the living and the damned as a new hero—Muerta which arrives to haunt the lanes in early 2023.”

The International Grand Finals between Team Secret Vs Tundra Esports is now underway as the winner would be taking home a mammoth prize money of $8,481,670 from the $18,848,214 USD pool.
