After the recent change of the Astralis roster only a few hours ago, Ninjas in Pyjamas are next to make their move, but this time it’s not because of any health issues. NiP has decided to bench veteran Lekr0 as they decide to give their newest recruit, Hampus a shot at their active CSGO roster.

NiP has confirmed that Hampus “hampus” Poser will be joining the team “towards the end of the month.” He’ll be directly going to the active roster while Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson will be benched from the team.

What’s more is that hampus will be acting as the IGL of the team the moment he joins the roster. “hampus, the young Swede, has seen both regional and international success in recent times and is now about to step up to the plate as the in-game leader for our CS:GO squad,” NiP said in their official blog.

The blog also included a statement from hampus himself. “I am very excited to have been given this opportunity to play for NiP. It really is a dream come true. I’m also looking forward to reuniting with some insanely skilled old teammates and friends and can’t wait to start working and do great things together,” the 21-year-old talent said.

NiP has announced that hampus will make his first appearance in DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 on May 28th with their match against Vitality.
