Legacy will replace BESTIA at the upcoming BLAST Austin Major 2025, the tournament organizers revealed in an announcement.
For the uninitiated, the BLAST Austin Major 2025, which is scheduled to kick off on June 2nd, will see 32 elite Counter-Strike 2 teams battle it out for the lion’s share of a $1,250,000 USD prize pool. The event will feature two weeks of intense competitive CS, with the teams competing in front of a live audience at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, for the playoffs.
As per the official statement from BLAST, BESTIA was unable to secure the required number of US Visas to field a sufficient number of eligible players, ultimately forcing the team to withdraw from the event.
As a result, the Argentinian org will be replaced by the Brazilian team Legacy. BLAST has confirmed that Legacy has managed to obtain all necessary travel documentation for its players.
Having finished as the runners-up of the South American MRQ’s single-elimination bracket, Legacy secured its spot at the Major as BESTIA’s replacement.
CS2 fans will be able to see Legacy take on Lynn Vision for their opening match of the Austin Major 2025 on the official Twitch and YouTube handles of BLAST.
